  1. I have now tried to fly both the JDAM and JSOW employment mission for the F18. In both of those mission you will not get any further information from the instructor when you have finished your first attack run and when you have released your weapons and hit those targets. The plane will just start to circle around the area with the AP activated and nothing more will happen. In the JDAM tutorial you can finish the mission yourself after you have programmed your weapons regarding the instructions in the briefing but you will not get any more instructions from the instructor. DCS version 2.8.8.43704. No mods are installed.
  2. I have now tried the new RTX 3090 TUF with the same hardware as before and the 516.94 Nvidia Driver. No issues at all during the first whole hour that I flew. I also saw that there was an DCS update that downloaded when I started the game so I dont know if that one has something to do with it. Maybe it was the old GPU that was faulty anyway.
  3. Thanks but I have tried both to underclock and undervolt that card but I didn’t help. I will bring out a new RTX 3090 TUF today and test it the upcoming days to see if that one will work. If not I will reinstall my OS from Win 11 and revert it back to Win 10 and try it again.
  4. I will just add one more thing. Today i had the opportunity to buy an Asus RTX 3090 TUF for a really great price from a reseller with full warranty and also the possibility to try the card and leave it back withing 90 days if I am not pleased with it. It will be interesting to see if I will get the same issues with that one.
  5. I dont know but I have ssen so many threads all over Internet about crashes where people use the 30xx and 40xx series of GPU´s. I wonder if the problem are just related to those GPU´s since I also had major problem with my 3080.
  6. I've updated every driver and BIOS to the latest and it still crashed. My son has an updated Win 10 and BIOS, My friend use Win 10. I have sent several log files to Nvidia as well but they cant help me. I have not heard anything from the guy that bought the GPU so I guess it works fine for him. 161222: Flew the same case 1 landing instant session for maybe 1 1/2 hour with my 2080Ti right now without any issues. Driver 516.94 this time. I think we can give up this thread now. We will never know what caused all those crashes before with the 3080. Either it was some driver issues or some problem with the GPU itself. Thanks again all of you that have tried to help me. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you out here flying.
  7. Yep. I have no problem with my RTX 2080 Ti. My son has some issues in MW2 with all three cards (1080, 2080Ti and 3080) but the RTX 3080 was the one that crashed most. I didn’t think it was the 3080 that was the problem since benchmark and stress tests went fine but I don’t really now. Arma 3 that I play most run without any issues with the 3080. As I wrote before this 3080 worked fine at DCS on my friends PC in VR.
  8. I have given it up. The GPU is now sold and I really hope that buyer will enjoy it better than me and that it’s not any issues with the GPU itself. I will have to use my RTX 2080 Ti Strix again and my son will return to his GTX 1080 Strix a little bit longer.
  9. Repair is already made a couple of times and I have also reinstalled the Directx12 driver as well as C++. I also tried to add both the values in regedit without any further help. It still crash.
  10. Repaired the game again and deleted FXO and the Metashader catalogue. Reverted back to Beta again and tried to fly one more time. After 32 minutes in the air a sudden crash as usual. Nvidia driver 516.94 This time. I will give up here and I think I have done everything by now. I will just leave it as it is. I will stop fly DCS for a while since I cant get it to work. Thanks anyway for all your support guys. dcs.20221213-162825.log dxdiag.txt
  11. The GPU is placed in the fastest slot. I have actually no more ideas but I will still belive it has something with Nvidia drivers and maybe Win 11 to do. Some drivers work better than others but every driver will crash DCS in the end. I belive I have to wait for awhile and see what will happpen with the upcoming versions of Win 11 and the GPU driver. As I have been written before I have tested this GPU in three different computers with all different results. Some games will crash on my PC and not the other two and vice versa. All benchmarks run fine except one in Modern Warfare II 2022 but that game has so many bugs and needs to be updated to work without issues. Next thing is to reinstall Windows and also DCS but I hesitate to do it.
  12. The GPU is now tested in my friends PC with some progress. Intel I9 10XX CPU with 32GB RAM DDR4 with unknown motherboard and a PSU of 750w (Win10). DCS worked fine on his PC during the one hour test that we did but we used only VR (Oculus Quest II) for DCS. Microsoft Flight simulator 2020 crashed without VR on his PC almost at once with my RTX 3080. He used the 526.47 version of Nvidia driver. I tried the exact same thing when I came home but with the driver 527.56. DCS crashed as usual when using my Oculus Quest One but Microsoft Flight Simulator worked great on my PC without VR. I am almost for sure that the GPU is without any problem since those different games runs fine on different PC's. If the GPU have had some issues the same games would have crashed on both PC's.
  13. I have tested XMP activated and inactivated (auto). I have it now off and run my RAM sticks at 2133Mhz instead of 3200Mhz (default) but it crashes anyway. I have tried the GPU overklocked when running benchmarks and stress test without issues but normally I have everything at stock settings. There seems to be a lot of problems showing up from day to day regarding different games nowadays. My son started to have issues with his old GTX 1080 in Modern Warfare yesterday that was new for him. A lot of crashes in several games use to be common with different types of GPU’s so this may have something to do with a combination of software issues I guess. I will bring the GPU over to a friend today and try it in his PC with DCS to see what happens.
  14. Nvidia are also trying to help and this is the latest answer from them. “Nothing stands out in the log file. There are still 3 drops in the 12v voltage, but that was a very long log. There is also still a Thermal Event flag, but it was early in the log file and had nothing to do with an actual Temp event yet again.”
  15. Yes I have two separate PCIe cables connected from the PSU.
