  1. Do you need canopy open?
  2. Did you have this issue before using mpm11011?
  3. Neat video by Explosion&Fire where he talks a bit about the science of IR sensors, and countermeasures against them. He even builds is own "missile seeker" to test his homemade flares, then ultimately uses them to defeat a Nintendo Wii.
  4. Nice find. Bottom diagram at 1:11:02 looks like it explains to line up cockpit parts with target for a good line up, I do the same thing in the 21.
  5. Source: https://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/5792/antec-hcg-750m-750-watt-80-plus-bronze-power-supply-review/index.html Are your power connectors only connected to one of the +12V rail, or are you split between both of them? Each side can only supply so much power.
  6. This may be the cause of your problems. Check bindings for "Throttle (Collective)".
  7. AI Task Push doesn't use waypoint actions. List actions in the "Triggered Actions" window.
  8. Fantastic. I've wanted to watch this but couldn't find it anywhere. I found out this story from the game I play when not flying in DCS, Arknights. About a year ago we got Nine-Colored Deer as an operator to use in the game. The company they worked with to produce the animation used the same style.
  9. It is tricky I admit. And I have never been able to hold 10° aoa on takeoff like the DCS manual says. I kinda wobble around 12-15°. I imagine this is easier in a real plane since you can feel movement instead of having only visual feedback. Here's me taking off in Caucasus if you're interested. takeoff.trk
  10. https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/134599/intel-core-i912900k-processor-30m-cache-up-to-5-20-ghz.html 8 P cores with hyperthreading (16 threads total) 8 E cores no hyperthreading (8 threads) 16 cores and 24 threads.
  11. Make sure your drivers are up to date for your video card and other things. Corel3 check your updates, you are on the previous release of Win10 and AMD drivers.
  12. Flying over Damascus in the Blades of Steel - Syria in the Hind I went from ~25 FPS to ~30 FPS on my rig. Probably more to due with the shadow bug being fixed than multi-threading. Either way I'm thrilled that I had no strange bugs or crashes and everything just worked so far. Rig specs: 3570k @ 4.4GHz 8GB DDR3 @ 1000MHz 8-9-9 timings GTX 970 stock specs
  13. I wonder if this would have crashed the game if it wasn't locked at 60fps. My next question would be to use Afterburner to limit the power limit to 75% and see if it still crashed. But you've removed it and the crash went away.
  14. Looks like VID spikes when it crashes? "VID usage is tied to the built-in hardware H.264 encoder found on GTX6xx and higher cards. " - https://superuser.com/questions/523354/what-is-fb-and-vid-usage-in-asus-gpu-tweak
  15. I didn't know there was an unlocked version of that chip, what did you run it at? 12 MHz? Did you update the BIOS? The ASUS website says it released an update yesterday. Don't forget the BIOS reset procedure afterwards.
  16. At the same time? Also, what are the specs on your new computer?
  17. I remember years ago hearing about this problem, and I thought it was solved. However I can find no evidence of this searching through google. But I did find the Grim Reapers video were people mentioned this in the comments. From commenter "Eddie Crouch": FYI Cap you should consider retesting this with the AAA guns placed as groups of no more than 4 in the mission editor. AAA guns in DCS work in such a way that only 4 light/ medium guns or 6 heavy guns in a group may engage targets at a time. If you watch the video many guns are just sitting there doing nothing while the planes fly over.
  18. Check if image scaling is on in nvidia control panel.
  19. No strange settings in nvidia control panel? Either global or DCS specific.
  20. It looks to me like some sort of image sharpening is being applied as soon as you click. Did you clean out the /user/saved games/DCS folder during your reinstall?
  21. Do you have an uncropped image of your mission editor? Nothing silly like having the historical filter on with a strange mission date?
  22. You sure nothing else happened to this computer? Electronics in the fan will fail in one of two ways: open circuit or short circuit. If open circuit, the result will be if you unplugged the fan. Should not result in the board dying. Short circuit, I can see whatever MOSFET driving the fan circuit dying, but these usually fail in an open circuit fashion. The rare chance it failed into a short circuit could take out other circuits. Any way to tell if the PSU was dumping straight into Over Current Protection? He cleaned out what he spilled inside it?
  23. Does your laptop crash in other games? How are your temperature? Do you have GeForce Experience installed?
  24. I find this very strange. My experience with computers crashing is they either lock up and you need to cycle power, or they reboot themself. Could it be a USB power delivery issue? Any chance DCS is pulling so much power the PSU flips out the power or sleep button was pressed?
  25. Perhaps Windows decided it was time to install an update?
