Anyone remember what the max depression in manual mode was on the old ASP? Was it 7°? Then new ASP goes to 11. 11 / 7 = 1.57 Level bombing was 6.5°, now 6.5 * 1.57 = 10.2°

Meaning of 'DP' and 'SP' points in mission editor and scripts
corn322 replied to Sukhoi2020's topic in Guides & Tutorials
I'm pretty sure you got it right: Starting Point and Destination Point. A little further down you would select what type of waypoint it is. See image for detail. This is where you would make it a landing point. See DCS User Manual 2020 page 192. What aircraft are you testing this in? I don't do any scripting, I just use the built in triggers. Some quick searching on the internet for "DCS lua scripting" returned this: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/faq/scripting_engine/ -
[ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign

I had this problem too. Turns out their tasking is set to CAP when the mission is generated. I go into the mission editor and change everyone to Ground Attack. -
Don't forget this is not a Heads Up Display like "modern" aircraft. This is only a gyro sight like on WW2 aircraft. Here is layout of the fixed net sight:

Trigger Remove Scenery = TREES not working

How will we ever win our war against nature if we let trees run rampant? -

Better Trees for Caucasus and Better Smoke -
You can try out Better Smoke v4 over in the DCS Mods section until something better some along.

I interpreted this as the radar waiting for a solid, steady signal for accurate ranging.

Did you just try to tell him off by linking him to his own cold war server thread?

There's also something about elevator authority when the ARU is in high speed mode. Check this post and the one below:: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=4470304#post4470304

What about the RSBN, ARK, and Radio placards in the cockpit? It would be neat if these were blank and could be filled in at runtime by a text file, instead of swapping the cockpit depending on the map and/or mission.

Upuart's and nibbylot's Bell-47 Version 3.0

I just took this for a spin, both figuratively and literally. Was super fun. I haven't flown a chopper in DCS before. Last time I "flew" a chopper was 8 or 9 years ago playing Hind. A bit tough a first, but soon enough I was able to cruise around Batumi stable enough for sight seeing. I gotta say DCS sure does look different from down here. -
I'd like to play around with this also. If I buy flowers do I get a copy of the program?

Dynamic Campaign Discussion Thread
corn322 replied to winchesterdelta1's topic in DCS Core Wish List
These are the same thing. Both are individual units using tactics to accomplish strategic goals. But what are these "strategic goals?" Gaining territory and resources for your side while denying territory and resources to the enemy. The Real Time part of RTS just means things happen concurrently. The Strategy parts is how you want to win. Use high tech long range units to win a war of attrition? How about flooding with low tech cheap units to overwhelm the enemy before they can respond? Multi-pronged harassment until a vulnerability develops? This applies to all RTS games. -
Is the K for "критерий" - kriteriy - criteria?

I see the Mach 2 requirement. You mention gliding back, do we need to land also? Or just get to 20k M2?

Surface Pro 3, m3 CPU = 23 fps ?

Impressive! I tried to get DCS to run on my Laptop years ago, and it wouldn't even start up do to it having only 4GB of RAM. -
Did you listen to the podcast? After the interview with Suren Tyagi, Harish Masand came on and explained that they probably did have those instruments, it was just that Mr. Tyagi didn't worry about them as he could fly well enough "by the seat of his pants." @ Hiromachi & Shmal: I think the point he was making is that he did sustain a constant altitude and speed during that turn. But he had to hold 5.5G to do so. According to his chart, he should only have to pull ~4.8G As for why the 3 charts you have are all slightly different... Is the top pair showing one with 2nd afterburner mode on and the other regular AB vs. full military power? And the Bottom chart is Mig-21FM vs. Mig-21Bis with 2nd AB engaged?

I just found out the Su-25T user manual has a big chart of radio commands and message. Reading through it, I've never had the ATC tell me to "orbit for spacing" when other aircraft are on approach. Nor have I had ATC tell me I am above or below glide path.

The aircraft manuals should have fuel consumption charted somewhere. I know the Mig-15 and -21 manuals list fuel consumption rates.
