  1. Viewing the images of photos and renders of the ASP from this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=216478 I had some thoughts and questions: Is it just me or is the aspect ratio of the glass different in the game? The sight reticles bleed past the end of the glass lower edge and over the range scale marks. Shouldn't the reflection of the combiner lens appear on the same plane as the reticles, and not attached to the surface of the glass?
  2. Does Windows report the correct monitor in Device Manager?
  3. I use Prime95 for my cpu testing. 3DMark for a complete computer "score."
  4. "Art of the Kill" is a good video if you haven't seen it already. ${1}
  5. The DCS Mig-21 manual itself lists "pressure altimeter VDI-30" on page 28, then describes "barometric altimeter (VDI-30K)" on page 53.:doh::helpsmilie:
  6. SUA-1 is the Limit AoA Warning Unit. It is described briefly on page 58 of the DCS Mig-21 manual.
  7. I decided to scale and align the 3 Lift vs Mach charts in this thread to each other to help me visualize the difference in data. Interesting, only lines for UUA readings match between the 3 data sets.
  8. You can configure "Pitot Tubes" failure in the mission editor. But the plural "tubes" makes me think it will kill all pitot tubes.
  9. I went and looked through the L-39 manual to see if it had any information about this. It says: "Pressure correction indexes for landing at high altitude airfields, where pressure is less than 670mmHg. Indexes are moved by the knob." The manual points to arrows 1 and 2, which I think is an error. I think arrow 2 is for alignment of the barometric pressure. Then I noticed something about the image foxbat155 posted. The alignment between 800m mark and 25km mark. Compare images: Then I saw the numbers in the pressure scale. They increase going clockwise in all images except the one from our game Mig-21. What's going on here?
  10. Does the grass change with the seasons?
  11. I was in the Batumi parking lot. According to the mission editor, the altitude there is 10m.
  12. What is the purpose of the two triangles indicated in the image?
  13. About #2: I collected images of the altimeter from the game, the manual, and from the internet by searching "Russian altimeter." Note the difference in size of the pressure scale window between the game images and internet images. It appears the font used has changed as well.
  14. For what it's worth, my X36 works great in Win10. No drivers needed, just plugged it in. I didn't have any mold, but a good cleaning got rid of the sticky feeling.
  15. At 35km the "very low" Mirage is probably below the radar horizon.
  16. Be careful with this. Using the tool here (http://lcdtech.info/en/data/pixel.size.htm) so I don't have to do math by hand... Your 55" 4k screen has 0.317mm size pixels, but my 24" 1200p screen has 0.269mm size pixels. I assume you are sitting more than 1 meter from your screen, which would make the pixels appear smaller.
  17. Techreport.com did a test to see how long SSDs last. The first casualty was an Intel 335 series, after writing 700TB.
