  1. I take it that you were out there when this happened and that you are a serving member of the coalition forces that daily put their lives in the firing line. Often only to come home in a wooden box draped in a flag. No? I didnt think so!!! Its so easy, sat at home in front of a nice warm pc while drinking your favourite bear to peruse the net and pull down nothing more than rumours. Why not pull on the uniform and go out there and join the thousands of people doing just that everyday and then come back and say you know the score. Here is a little bit of info found on the net about Wikipedia :- A very common criticism of Wikipedia is its inconsistent and unauthoritative submission model. The encyclopedia allows anybody to edit its pages, even anonymously. To address this issue, and to ensure quality, accurate content, all submissions and edits are moderated and regulated by a staff of regular volunteers. However, all information learned from Wikipedia should be independently verified by interested parties, and citing Wikipedia as a reference work is usually frowned upon in most academic circles. http://what-is-what.com/what_is/wikipedia.html Bascally just because it says it, doesnt mean its true. As Tyger says, if you want to discuss it...look us up on TS. This is not meant to flame anyone, i just get royally hacked off when people think they know it all when in actual fact all they know is what they read. You need to go there to understand this. I'm sure that anyone who has, will. Just my 2 cents. S!
  2. I agree 100% with Tyger. I know the job he does and the guys that he's on the ground with and he knows what he's talking about. Unlike Tyger i have only done one tour of Afghanistan and that was in a non combat roll with the Royal Navy. Rumours are always rife about what the Taliban has and has'nt and to be fair as Tyger says, if they had SAM's then they sure as hell would be going for the big prize in their eyes....on of our aircraft. Saying this i saw first hand a US Blackhawk that was hit by RPG. Luckily the crew were unhurt.
  3. I use throttle fire D for my brakes
  4. I agree this looks awasome, i'll be downloading as soon as it becomes available
  5. I found the 'Realistic Soundpack by ET' to be excellent.
  6. I might be wrong but FC1 uses the meinit where FC 2.0 does not. Changes are made to the meinit when you isnatall a new model thus causing some models will conflict with others. You can use the Walmis F15 with the simmod A10 with no problem at all in FC1. The Walmis F15 set the standard for models and is still fantastic.
  7. Did you install all of the above in the same order or just F-15CockpitUpgrade101.zip? This works for me.
  8. I like it apart from when in afterburner i'm getting an annoying clicking sound. This click happens every 2 seconds or so and now i just focus on that. The landing gear is the best sound though, very realistic.
  9. Ven, ive tried different hat switches, on a throttle and on the stick. Removed them and just used default keyboard and it still does it
  10. Thanks Case, i've had a look but couldnt find anything
  11. I dont have LEAVU installed and dont no what ERI is so i'm assuming i didnt have it
  12. I'm having problems trying to scan left and right in the F15. I reduce the the scan zone to narrow as normal but when i scan left or right it centers itself. Occasionally it will stay where i want and then all of a sudden flicks back to center. I've had this problem before and thought it was due to a plug on my stick being loose as it went away. Last night after flying for a while it started again. I have switched USB sockets and also unmapped the command from my stick and even when i use the keyboard left/right keys it still does it. Has anyone else come accross this? Is it a common glitch? Any help would be really appreciated as you can imagine its ruining my bvr lol Thanks in advance. S!
  13. Thanks for all the positive comments. As stated before a lot of time, work and effort goes into making the server what it is. We have a lot of good guys over at the 104th.
  14. Thankyou for this:thumbup:
  15. Maybe this can be fixed in a patch:music_whistling:
  16. I too feel as though the sounds are 'muted', especially when you get hit. Realism or not i like to hear whats going on and i reckon you would hear the explosion loud and clear if you got hit.
  17. Thanks Sarge your fix sorted my problem out for me. I've noticed that with your fix, you can still use your desktop mouse to look around in external view as well as the mini mouse on the throttle as long as your Pinkie switch is held in:thumbup:
  18. Nice work, this looks great. Thanks ECV56 Finger. S!
  19. OK got the Modifier to work as joybutton6 and downloaded the latest SST software and drivers and can now program Right Shift. Thanks again
  20. Can you set the Pinkie switch as a modifier in game rather than using the SST software? If so what does the modifier show up as? Also i cant seem to be able to program the Right Shift in SST, is there any way round this?
  21. Look for the Realistic Sound Pack by ET over at lockonfiles. I've installed it and love it. I think its exactly what you are looking for.
  22. Looking good Aero, i do like how clean the dials look and also very clear. Yes the blue lights are nice mate.
