You seem to be looking at an older version of the manual. Those sections are way more filled out in the most recent.
Though it doesn't seem to say much about what the bar setting does.
I'd probably guess it has to do with how tall the area the scan covers though. At least that's what most bar settings do in relation to radars.

The imperial unit stuff was added by accident to the changelog, and was not meant to be there. Maybe in the future..
If it does get added in the future, I'd love it they could be 2 separate options. While I love the imperial markings outside the altimeter, I don't care as much about the distance scale.
(And I found the 1x / 10x indicator the mod used to be less clear/slower to parse than the mil / km from the normal one)
EDIT: I'd also be just fine if you just release it as a separate mod/cockpit we can choose to install ourselves if we want it.

Still a bug, with both Rb04 and Rb15.
Also happens if you launch more than you can carry, with unlimited weapons enabled.
I'm not sure this can be classified as a "bug". While it's not realistic, is it working as HB designed it.

Why does this have .lua files? Isnt kneeboards just suposed to me jpeg or png? and why does it have to go in the core folder and not saved games?
I think that might be from when the kneeboard pack was newly released, these days you can just drop the image files in the correct kneeboard folder and they'll work just fine

Does this mean that the @MYSE1234 cockpit textures mod is no longer needed?
And if it's no longer needed, what about the altimeter foot scale sub-mod?

I can get the AP alt hold to work, but not alt select; I've tried as many combinations and orders of options as I can think of and nothing will force the plane to climb or descent to my selected altitude. Hopefully AP functionality is still WIP?
Are you adding/removing power after selecting your desired altitude?

It'll repeatedly take screenshots of the display when RCD is active, how often depends on what screen is shown.

Iirc, it should be the same process from either seat. Just do the command to take command of the display twice.

OK, Now I got excited. I wonder if that will work with VR hand tracking.
They are literally only showing it with VR hands in the video.

Am I the only one who stopped turning on the autopilot altitude channel after the last update to the stable version? The altitude channel does not turn on both on the ground, after the standard launch procedure, and in the air, during steady straight flight. Before the latest update, I played this module in early November of this year and everything worked fine, although the altitude channel indicator glowed very dimly, barely noticeable.
There's already about thread about that...

Funny note: I sat beside an ex real JA-pilot who jumped in and took off in DCS and way up in the sky just couldn't understand why the electronics didn't work. The generator switch was something they never touched. It was always left on.
That does make it sound like my theory is correct then, and it should really be in the ON position on a cold start.

a) Why do they turn ON the generator after engine shut-off? Doesn't make sense at first glance, since the normal startup says to turn it on (item 18)
Having taken a quick look at the IRL manual, the before engine start checklist only says to check/verify that the generator is set to ON. Which might suggest that it's really supposed to be left in the ON state.

Is here a function IRL to adjust this 25 000 ft setting?
What if you are attacking a target on a mountain with elevation 20 000 ft? You will only have 5 000 ft to work with and get into the range of the defences.
Just saying, I don't think the designers anticipated the USAF will ever fight in the Alps or Andes (or Afghanistan), but yes, it's old technology
But some red guy placed an EWR on mount Kazbeg in the Caucasus and it made lobbing LGBs a bit limiting.
Considering the limit is there for physical reasons, the limit will always be relative to sea level. But it was clearly enough of an issue since later versions of the lantirn pods have a much higher limits (for example the version the DCS Tomcat has)

No idea if that's correct, but that's how it seems to work in/with SRS anyway.I assume that's a placeholder SRS decided to use while waiting for for correct way to get added

Yes I might be a little fast. So that could be the reason.
I will test on next mission.Trying to go as fast as possible can often cause you to pitch out of the limits for the doppler system.

Are you trying to push the speed to the absolute limit? @LuseKofte

I'm so used to the F16 doing this on steerpoint change that I fear it will bug me when I finally take off in this bird (saving it for Xmas break)
F-15 will also do that, as long as the newly selected steerpoint is a target point.

No, the current tpod does not have that feature. It should probably be available in one of the other pods that'll be coming later though.

IFF modes beyond mode 4 don't exist at this time.
Not sure what you are attempting to do…
while it's clearly still WIP, the IFF screen on the UFC did get included in the latest openbeta (though it does seem to be cosmetic only)
and I'm also seeing that it doesn't seem to allow 0s on any digit for M3 currently. -

Just confirm you are just typing 2530 in the scratchpad and not 253.00, you don’t need to put the “.” In the scratchpad, the interface is smart enough to work it out.
I did have the decimal point in there, because that's how the jet itself fills out the scratchpad with the old frequency.

Radios won't accept frequencies entered with all 0s as decimals, which means you can't put back the old frequency that gets placed in your scratchpad if it was a whole number (like "253.000"). Anything ending in ".0" ".00" or ".000" just results in the error-flashing.
And this applies to both radios. -
Maybe it could be an idea to include an example of specifying a runway heading on the airbase points (F10 map markers)
(and if there are any other missing options)- 1
