  1. Damn, due to some travel I'm not going to be able to make this awesome event. Have fun all! (On the upside, I think this frees up a mid-tier NATO slot for SF).
  2. Invite looks to be expired/invalid. Post another? Edit: Ignore this. Discord bullshit - it complained about an invalid invite but I've been able to join the event Discord.
  3. Alpenwolf - it looks like I won't be able to participate as I have some travel on this date. Please remove me from the roster. :( Thanks so much for organising this man, it's going to be an awesome event. I look forward to watching some streams!
  4. Briggers Lonewolf Single ship sign-up in order of preference: 1x (NATO Mid-Tier Fighter - F/A-18C) 1x (PACT Mid-Tier Fighter - M2000C) 1x (NATO Low-Tier Fighter - F-5E) 1x (PACT Low-Tier Fighter - AJS37 (a2a))
  5. Briggers Mig15 Edit: RL has interfered - I will not be able to make the event. Have fun!
  6. This was not a good time for Colt flight. Still was fun, but an epic fail. Thanks MicroVax for GCI, and IronMike/104th for organising.
  7. If any squadron is low on numbers and would like an additional reserve, I'd happily act as a temporary cadet. I'll train with you and follow orders. PM me if interested. +1 Zulu, M2KC
  8. This was another great event. Special thanks to IronMike for all your work in putting this on - it was an awesome scenario, very well executed. Big thanks to Yoda for coordinating everything! Also Moltar for the pro-level ATC - I hope to experience you on GCI in future events as this would be epic. Things that made me happy: 1. got a juicy 104th kill 2. survived much longer than I expected in an M2K facing 120C's 3. the high point of the event for me was when MattE stepped up and did ad-hoc flight lead for the Batumi M2K flight: this was so much more effective than our mob of 6-7 M2Ks earlier in the event Other things: 1. bluefor lonewolves lacked coordination early in the event: IMO one of the lessons from the earlier Red Flag Reality is that lonewolves can work effectively together if they are put into flights. 2. I feel we should have had some warning that Senaki was being overrun: the first indication I got here was from myself as I was shot down with a 120C about 5 seconds after take-off at Senaki. Superb event. I learned a huge amount from you guys, as usual. Thanks!
  9. IronWolf: Was this intended to be "retreat to Tblisi"? (Awesome scenario btw).
  10. Briggers Lonewolf London Blue, though I can fly for red if needed M2000C
  11. Apologies, due to some unplanned travel I won't be able to participate. :( Please strike me from the Mig-15 list.
  12. Great feedback, much appreciated IronMike. Definitely lost some SA with the pushed CAP, and being killed by Moskva definitely supports your memory. Sadly I could not review in TacView as I was missing from the ACMI (I had a client crash before takeoff and I suspect rejoining the server is the cause). I should have made waypoint 2 visible in my radar. Also yes, our flight fell apart right after take-off due to me not coordinating properly. We then rejoined and got to a fairly solid racetrack CAP over 5/6, and then when we were engaged by red we lost 3 Mirages in about a minute or two (Onyx and Terence both took one red with them) leaving me the only survivor by luck alone. Many many great lessons for me.
  13. Firstly, a huge thanks to IronMike for the massive amount of work and expertise that went into this. Also thanks to MicroVax, the 104th, and 51st guys. To my noob eyes it was an excellent event. It felt very real and was super intense, not to mention a lot of fun. I learned a huge amount from the briefings, through making many mistakes, and also from the example of excellent wingmen and RedFor. Feedback: I would echo Onyx's comments in the debrief - there was room for improvement in comms discipline, with a fair amount of excited calls on (I presume) guard and we also heard some one-sided conversations. I understand fox calls should be on guard, but I believe not much else. Perhaps more structure or guidelines are needed here. I think the lesson from the TS whisper issue is that we should have done the training event in the same manner we expected for the live event. At least that's what Captain Hindsight says. One tentative idea related to something I raised in the debrief. With so much time spent on preparation, briefing/debriefing and flying the scenario it seems a waste to not extract all the lessons possible. Would it be worth it to run a TacView analysis debriefing? Perhaps this is too much to ask, but I know I would benefit from something like this hugely. As a dead pilot, I'd love to know what I did wrong (killed by Moskva AI performing a pushed CAP). In summary: spectacular event, and I see far more room for improvement in myself than in even the current status of Red Flag Realism!
  14. I wish they had been Alpenwolf :) I barely saw any of you guys, and a 6v4 furball in the hills there would have been epic.
  15. Thanks very much for hosting this again you 104th guys - it was a really fun event. Verde - blue won again, they needed you!
  16. Ha! I was so focussed on the bandit that I somehow didn't even see you guys coming in until it was all over. :) My main lesson from the event is that I need to talk to GCI way more - I had been chasing that bandit for quite a while waiting for a solid visual id before firing and a question over comms would have made the kill a lot quicker and safer.
