  1. I downloaded and installed flaming cliffs. Problem is, its not recognizing my very long password.
  2. Once again, I order a wingman to take out a entrenched gun position from 8 kilos out. The wingman flies until he is about 500 meters, doesnt even fire a shot and he gets killed Lets be real, this should not happen. Wingmen ai in original version were waaaayyy better then this. Its not right that i cant fly sp because of idiotic wingmen. Serious Wags, have you all even looked into this problem? Will there be a fix soon?
  3. I would be more than happy to post a track if I knew how to do that. I'm not computer savvy. If you or someone could be kind enough to give me instructions I'll do it.
  4. I read above and see where youall are coming from. The problem remains. When I order wingmen to hold position, even when there are no threats, the wingmen turn 120 degrees to the right and just keep going. They dont circle around or what not, just goes in a straight line and keeps on going. I order wingmen to go to a datalink point, no threats, wingmen gets to datalink point, announces "at destination" and just keeps going. Problems listed above are real and only with the 1.0.1 patch. There is a significant differens of wingmen behavior compared to the original install. Ohh yeah, ai is set to experienced. Very freakin frustrating. On original install, if i order wingmen to engage datalink tgts and i am 7 ks out, wingmen effectively engages tgts with viks, sometimes while in formation. With the 1.0.1 patch, they fly way too close.
  5. A few days ago I was playing mp and somehow I was killed. I saw in text the person who shot me down. I chewed him out a little bit, not too harsh, but this person, whos name i dont remember, insisted he did'nt shoot me. About 2 days after that i was on mp and somehow i shot down another player, though i had just taken off from a farp. the player, i believe his name was santyago, was approximately 40-45 ks away. Most definitely weird. Btw, the player i chewed out, i offer my utmost heartfelt appology.
  6. Ever since I installed the 1.0.1 patch the following broblems have occured. 1. When I order wingmen to hold position, they turn about 120 degrees to the right and just keep going, and going, and going... 2. I order wingmen to go to a datalink point. The wingman goes to datalink point, announces "at destination", then, again, keeps on going to points unknown. 3. Given a recon order, the wingmen will recon directly into ground threats. 4. Wingmen does not recognize threats, or announces threats, even when we fly directly over them. When I give order to engage ground tgts, then wingmen does so, even though I had no idea that such threats existed. 5. I order wingmen to engage designated tgts, sometimes from 7 or 8 kilometers out. Instead of engageing tgts from a safe distance with vikhrs, wingmen fly almost directly into tgts and subsequently get blown out of the sky. I believe this issue has not received enough attention. I've read in other posts that one should just order wingmen on suicide missions, or shoot them yourself just to get rid of them. That is unacceptable. I wish to enjoy this game to its fullest, both in single player as well as mp. The issue is, should I play BS's original install and forgo mp? Or, play mp on its 1.0.1 and forgo sp because of idiotic wingmen? Please reply post haste if you have similar issues. Wags, please inform me if you are aware of this and if there are plans to fix this bug.

When I order my wingman to recon, he'll recon right into aromr or aaa threats and get blown out of the sky. When I order my wingman to engage tgts, he'll fly too close and again get blown out of the sky. I uninstalled BS and reinstalled. Wingmen worked just fine. Engaged tgts at a safe distance. Followed orders etc etc. When I reinstalled the 1.0.1 patch I had the same problems as listed above. So yes there is most definitely a bug in the patch. Wags, are you all aware of this bug? And if so, are there any plans to fix it?
  8. Perhaps ur right. Thing is, I shouldn't have to micromanage. I believe the wingman should scout, detect tgts and either 1) hold 2) bypass 3) rejoin The fact that the wingman flys directly into a threat is...well...not right.
  9. after playing the gauntlet several times I have realized that the #2 wingman is an absolute idiot. I sent #2 on recon. He detected several armor and aa threats and instead of terminating the recce or at least going around the tgts, he flew right into the middle of said tgts and was subsequently blown out of the sky. In addition, several times did I instruct #2 to engage a tgts, (separate incident) and he flew too close to the tgt and was, again, blown out of the sky. On the other hand, #4 seems to be more on the ball. I am hoping that #2 is programmed to be an idiot, or should I say, less competant?
  10. Wags and staff. I installed the patch 1.0.1 and it works just fine. This sim surpasses by far any flight sim on the market today. Thank you all for a job well done! :thumbup:
  11. Ok. Back on topic. When strafing, first b sure your trim is reset, alt hold disabled, flight director enabled. As u dive in, decrease collective, adjust angle of attack and yaw as necessary. You really have to baby it. If u dive in too fast the heli will become unstable and it'll rock n roll, too slow and the gun/rockets recoil will throw u off. After you run in, increase collective and pitch up. zigzag to minimize the chance of getting hit. Hope this helps

  13. In real life, sams would not be placed in dense forrests. In a large clearing or along the woodline, maybe. AAA and dismounts, rpgs and the like, yeah that's a possibility. So, how do u locate, close with and engage such a threat? First of all, you will know once u r fired upon that there is a threat. If u have a wingman, as u should, u or the wingman should flyby at high speed while the other observes where the fire is coming from. Then u will have a chance at eleminating the threat. Its a risky move but it can be effective.
  14. i figured it out. i have Trend internet security. When i tried to join mp, trend would pop up indicating suspicious activity. Problem is, it would pop up for about 1 thousandth of a second, so i had no time to allow mp to run. I changed from admin login to guest login, ran bs mp, and trend poped up long enough for me to grant exception, then i switched back to admin. I'm not sure why trend trend does this.
  15. I have been able to join mp games until yesterday. Now, when I select mp the server list is completly blank. When I select new search the screen is minimized. I pull up the screen again, select new search and...nothing.
