  1. I started with Gunship 2000 and F18 Interceptor and Hexagon Cartell on Amiga 1200. Later I was so happy that microprose made the 3. Gunship game on PC. Anyone tried Gunship!
  2. This is not correct! especialy your last sentence. The trim-hat is just for fine Tunning . If anyone uses center trim option. The new trim position is just applied after trim release when the stick is back at center. but what Blackeyed is mentioning is: the Pitch and Roll channel are trying to hold the Hind in a specific position. So the channels have now a specific % of input. If the pilot try’s now to accelerate or decent. He will push the cyclic forward. Maybe 35% as an example. the Pitch Chanel has an autorithy of 15%. So in the moment the pilot push the cyclic forward , the Ap is counteracting. (Because the Ap tries to hold his last given attitude) So the pilot needs to push with 50%. When the Pilot now tap the trimm button. The Ap is cancelling his last given attitude and resets his Chanel’s to 0%. This follows that the Pilot is pushing 15% too much at this moment. The Hind will overreacting. That means : You need to push and hold the Trimmer BEFORE u make a change with the cyclic. The Ap will reset to 0. Then u will push the cyclic till the Hind is in the Attitude the Pilots wants. And the release the trimmer. THE MI-8 works different. The pilot in the middle seat will adjusting the Ap-Chanels. There is no automatic Autopilot. (I don’t know the exact percentage of AP Authoritie. I believe it’s between 15 and 25 % , but this doesn’t matter in my example)
  3. If you try to climb high mountains in Caucasus with an overloaded hind, with collective almost maxed out, then you have a really hard time to hold the 24 in a straight flight. It starts to turn left more and more as your speed degreases. Wih the pedal full right, the only thing what you can do is decreasing the collective carefully or push the nose down to increase the speed. (this behavior start at 11 degree of collective and i believe is correct)
  4. No , the VKB software and Dcs are completely different softwares…. i flash sometime 3 times a day. (When I’m switching from Gunfighter to the F14 Grip) never lost a keybind in Dcs

  9. Switch only the laser on if u need it. Fire the vikher, after impact switch it off again . if you need to fire more then one Vikhr , wait for the countdown reach zero in the hud, before firing the next vikhr
  10. yes u burned the laser. fly back to base and do a repair.
  11. It works as intended. Inn the HUD is shown the true airspeed messured by the ground doppler radar. If the angle of pitch or roll is bigger than 10 degress, the grond doppler radar cannot work precisly. So u need to to look at the anolog speedmeter or in the upper left cornor of the skhval for indicated airspeed.
  12. It depends on which daytime u will start your mission. ( in most missions your Hmd/Nvg is chosen automatically ) . For sunset, night ,rising sun are nightvission googles automatically equipt. (Don’t like this new behavior) before take off, contact groundcrew and choose Helmet mounted sight. than u can slew the hmd to the shkval. (point the hmd reticle to the area where u want to slew the shkval, and then push the uncage button)
  13. @Noctrach The AP disengage button is for an eventual malfunktion of the ap chanels. To kill them before they will kill you. But you are completly right when u say its a sim and whatever works is great. @Viciam1 If u really want to use the autohover and u want to change your position you will have two choices: 1. switch to Flight Director, change your position and switch the FD off again. You may have to fine trimm again. Let the Autohover switched on while u change your position. 2. do it like Noctrach But i can highly recommend to dont use the autohover. Its not so easy in the beginning . But when u master it, it will rewards u with better and faster avoiding from enemy fire and your skill to fligh the ka-50 will rise.
  14. Have u set the trim as center trim in the special tab? Than u have to center after every trim release. if u don’t like it, choose instant trim in the special tab
  15. Flight director always, hover by yourself. Don’t use the hover mode . If u are under attack , u are way to slow to react in hover mode.
  16. No it’s not constantly firing. It’s firing when u lock a target or u fire a vikher . but it stays in standby if switched on and so needs cooled. i never use the reset by my self . Just switching on and off

  20. You don’t need to turn off the laser. Just wait till the cooldown reaches 0 before u lase the next target. If u need a long time till u will find your next target, Then switch the laser off . but if u have a lot of targets in front of you. Switching the laser off makes no sense . Easy thing : switch the laser on iff you have a target. If not , switch it off.
