  1. I thought some might find the following interesting.
  2. Sitting in the Apache in the instant action-airfield start on the caucus map. My frame rate are at 20! They were at 40 prior to the 2.9 patch. I have no idea why, any suggestion? Running MT with the latest patch on a Samsung SSD 980 PRO 2TB Windows 11 on a Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700KF 3.40 GHz NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 32GB Ram dcs.log debrief.log
  3. I have tried that, and now have resorted to a new install. DCS is still not launching, even in pancake mode.
  4. Hi, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, DCS still will not start.
  5. Anyone able to assist? DCS won’t start in either 2D or VR.
  6. I run DCS open beta. Both ST and MT .exe fail to launch DCs post yesterdays update. Upon executing a start, apart from the cursor timer showing for a few seconds, nothing occurs. I don’t even get the small DCS window that opens as the game begins to load. I’ve tried launching from both desktop shortcuts and directly from the .exe within the bin-file. I’ve undertaken a full repair, to no avail. Windows 11, NVIDIA GTX 3080, 13th gen i7-13700kf, 32 GB RAM, OpenXR Thanks dcs.log.old dcs.log
  7. Sitting in the 2D cockpit, I get 180 fps, in VR its 45.
  8. When sitting in the Apache on instant action, runway start at caucus map, the DCS frame counter displays 40 fps and CPU Bound (rendering thread) flickering in a redish colour. I get the exact frame rate when starting DCS without mt but also no CPU bound message. No difference in frame rate with or without MT with any other aircraft. Any ideas as to why? My System: Windows 11, Intel Core I7 13700KF CPU, Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE AX DDR5 Motherboard, 32GB DDR5 5600 Ram, RTX3080, HB Reverb 2 ( Openxr)
  9. As per the title. When sitting in the Apache on instant action, runway start at caucus map, the DCS frame counter displays 40 fps and CPU Bound (rendering thread) flickering in a redish colour. I get the exact frame rate when starting DCS without mt. No difference in frame rate with or without MT with any other aircraft. Any ideas as to why? 10. As the title states. It would be great to be able to randomly experience such hazards whilst operating in our desert/winter maps. It would also be useful to have as an option in the ME. Allowing mission designers to setup a brown/white-out location by simply designating a particular area, similar to the ability to remove objects such as trees, by setting a particular radius.
  11. I was unable to run a repair yesterday whilst flying on the Rotorheads server. I lost number two engine. Returned to base and shut down. Ground crew refused to repair, telling me to shut down the engines. I restarted the apu and engine 2 oil psi was showing 20, and there was a faint engine sound that would disappear for a second or two then return. I’d been flying for a number of hours so I haven’t even considered uploading the track file. I’ve also noticed that my Warthog throttles disconnect from their throttle bindings post repair. Prior to restarting the engines, I use the key commands to move the throttles forward which then re syncs my warthog throttles. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
  12. I jumped back into the pilot seat after a break of 3 weeks or so. Obviously there have been a number of updates during that period. When slewing my HMS to the CPG (George) TADS and selecting the targets from his list, my TADS display in the MFD slews to the target, however, I am no longer seeing a Cued LOS reticle in my IHADSS display so I can visualise where George has located the target. Am I missing a key binding to enable the cued LOS reticle? Thanks
  13. Did you try the other way? Right eye on the centre of the BRU and use the keyboard commands to move your head, up, down, left, right etc until the circles and dot aligns. Once boresighted, readjust your seating position for flying. This works really well for me.
  14. Fixed. I hadn't been unzipping it correctly. Thanks for your help.
  15. Today I fitted the TM Warthog analog thumb stick. I followed the instructions and calibrated the new thumb stick. However, in DCS Axis controls or the PC USB Game Controllers, the throttles are registering as either on or off when manipulated. There is no gradual increase/sliding on the power, its either full or off. Any idea what has happened? Thanks
  16. After taking damage whilst flying MP, bitching betty called out engine failure for both engines. However, the engine MFD was showing engine 2 as functioning, although it was operating at an abnormal temperature. Externally, both engines seem to be displaying the same damage modelling. Upon landing and shutting down at the FARP, I was unable to instigate a repair as ground crew requested for engine shut down. During the flight back to the FARP, I was experiencing a strange intermittent sound which I have never heard before in DCS. Maybe someone knows what that sound is replicating? The incident was on the last flight. The track file can be found at the following link, thanks. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4fo5ncdyeak5a5w/Persistent_Syria_TPE_v4_RUN1-20220413-132524.trk?dl=0
  17. I was experiencing this also on the Rotorheads server. I could see tracer fire and ATGM launches from a small town no more than 2-3km away, but for the life of me George couldn’t see them, but the AAA at 7km was no problem. I just put it down to server latency. I will try and save a track file next time.
  18. I find by pointing my HMD Reticle in the center of the BRU and then move the head position, ie, up, down, left, right, forward, backward etc. via the key commands, will move the yellow circles into the center of the BRU all the while keeping your HMD reticle centered, then hit that "cursor enter" when they align. Afterwards, adjust your seating position as normal and you are now a 30mm marksman-ish.
  19. Great idea, but I do believe they will be implementing head movement in CPG George
  20. As per the title. I lost No2 engine post missile strike. Upon returning to base, I shut down and requested repair. Ground crew requested I shut down engines first. I could hear an engine noise and powered up the APU. Engine screen displayed Engine No2 TGT analog tape at 422C. The following link will take you to the track file, my apologies but I do not know how to crop the file to a suitable size for the forum. https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpyue9hzyz3npoc/Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v2.1.0-20220401-101926.trk?dl=0
