  1. Who flies the Mig-21 to/from grass or mud? Answer; NO ONE. Simple fact is the people are just fed up and quit asking M3 to fix this long time ago.
  2. It seems there are no plans to bring this plane to the same level of functionality with the rest of FC3 planes. The Mig-29 and the Su-27 both have proportional braking and nose wheel steering on/off options enabled, I don’t know why the Su-25 pulled the short stick but it is such a shame really.
  3. has there been any improvements on this?
  4. I agree with your observations, and I would have preferred if there was no or smaller delay between the trimmer switch activation and corresponding stabilitor movement. Solution to your issue would also a require smaller trim step per each trimmer “click”, however this idea was shot down by the devs long time ago. Having flown the -21 for a while now, the trimmer works pretty well for me and I don’t have any issues with flying the plane level or in a formation.
  5. I was wondering about this as well, however, large trim steps help levelling the aircraft at supersonic speeds. Combined with the rather fast trim rate, trimming for a speed that falls between the “notches” is not possible. Fret not though as we are not trying to match our speed say, with a tanker. It also helps to think the trimmer as the ultimate AoA selector. Maintaining altitude or desired ascend/descend rate is done by throttle input. For instance, 5 to 7 units AoA is recommended for best rate descends. Likewise the approach profile requires 7 to 9 units for initial approach and 11 to 12 units for the short final. Resulting speeds are just a function of the current aircraft weight and the air density.
  6. This trend doesn't inspire any confidence to me. Has this "fix" tested by a larger group?
  7. I bought the Mig-21 knowing the radar issue. Rolling back to stone age drivers solved the issue for me. is there a discord for migheads?
  8. This could be intentional to provide better visibility during night landings. They do a pretty good job imo.
  9. I was able to confirm this with another player on Hoggit GAW Server. If you land at a base that is NOT where you spawned/started then the ground crew won't respond to requests including repair/rearm, i.e. no answer/dead silence.
  10. I used to be able to repair / rearm at other friendly bases just fine. Lately I am not receiving any response (copy or unable). Canopy open, RPMs zero. This is happening over hoggit server.
  11. Situation: -landed at another blue base for rearm/refuel, or repair -engines turned off, indicating 0% RPM -canopy is open but the ground crew does not respond to rearm or repair requests. Tested on hoggit server with the default Su-25T.
  12. I had the same problem during the free trial, otherwise I had the most fun with the Mig-21. Note to devs; please let us know when this is fixed so I can purchase ;)
  13. I applied nyogel to mine and am happy with the results. I wish there would be a mod to add ball bearings as well.
  14. People keep repeating this answer with no reference.
  15. I kinda wonder if they fly with throttles fire-walled all the time. Hog looks uglier with the empty racks.
  16. I have done all the cold starts I meant to do during my msfs flying days. I love the simplicity of FC3 planes, it's rather convenient if you get shot down a lot like me.
  17. I would like to offer a different perspective; I bought a new pc, warthog hotas and the whole shebang to fly the hog back in 2017. Unfortunately shortly after that I got shipped out to out of nowhere for work, and I did not have time for DCS until the epidemic.. ED kept the module and the base sim updated while I was taking time off from DCS. It received a new cockpit, new sounds and more.. I think they held their end of the bargain pretty good. Re; flight performance--It is great news that they are re-analyzing and they have a real A10 pilot to help them now.
  18. I feel if anything needs to be adjusted it is the effectiveness of the drag chute (acting like a ship anchor) and addition of proportional & independent main wheel brakes. I wonder how would a real A-10 ride on Russian concrete pavement blocks that was cast 40 years ago lol. Su-25 landing gear can take a lot of punishment imo.
  19. I have the same issue with a-10 which I blamed on the limited pedal travel of my rudder pedals. Try using the "user curve" option with 5 unit steps (instead of regular 10) for the 30-70% range of the rudder axis and blend in with a smooth curve. Check the "slider" box. This way you will still have linear control of the Rudder for most of the time, but it is now as half sensitive. Worked wonders with the a-10, highly recommended.
  20. Yea aero braking is cool. I read the other tread on this and the culprit is the effin boat again. Viggen seem to Have matured Nicely like the hog in this department. this early access and free rides making it really hard to complain hahaha
  21. Hey all, The cat does not seem to need any wheel brakes to slow down after landing. Just keep it in the runway and it will roll into a full stop within 1500 m or 4500 ft as if an invisible chute slows it. :megalol: Any chance to add some air to tires?
  22. Hey ED, Why not let people write their opinions on the back of a cheque and sign with their names on front before they mail it to you for publishing. Heaviest criticism should be posted daily to ensure transparency. Start a top 10, then carefully step aside and let Mo and Joe have at it like it was 75. Thanks for the free month, keep coding and never-mind.
  23. I can't do calculus on forums but am happy to hear that the cat will be put on free trial once again as I missed the first one due to work. Many early thanks :pilotfly:
