  1. I dont think they should mention any new modules at all until they are completely finished and ready for full release. That way, no one gets their expectations way up in the air and then dashed into nothingness when the products are delayed.
  2. I commented two days ago that the module really wasnt ready for early access release and the thread was then closed. Hmmmm......
  3. As far as I am concerned, it just aint ready for release, period. If I get it, it will be far in the future during a 50 percent sale, when all the bugs are hopefully eliminated.
  4. Nothing wrong with getting a second hand G2 on Ebay as long as you get one of their Allstate Protection Plans, which Ebay many times offers for new and used units. I bought my G2 a couple years ago on Ebay with such a plan. The cost of the G2 and the Plan was reasonable. Thankfully, its still going strong so I never had a need for the Plan. I have purchased several items on Ebay along with the Allstate Protection Plans, and have made a couple of claims. They were very responsive both times. I just told them what problem I was having and they immediately refunded the total purchase price. No questions asked or instructions given on how to fix the issue. I didn't have to send them the unit. I think their Plans are better than the typical manufacturer warranty which may require you to send the unit for repair somewhere. Just my two cents.
  5. I have the same issue.
  6. It appears that the module is actually an unfinished one like the usual "Early Access" DCS modules that are newly released. Unfortunately Polychop elected to claim it as being finished and charge the full price instead of giving the usual Early Access discount. That is a disconcerting and while I was really looking forward to purchasing it, I will wait to see if it ever improves to the point of being worth $70 to me.
  7. Sometimes I think its best for gaming sim developers to do like many, if not all, did in the 80s and 90s when we had to buy a physical game disk. Many times the developers would not say a word about a new game until it was ready for purchase in its final form. That way no one got their expectations out of whack as to when a game was going to be released. Also back then there was no such thing as "Early Access." The game was sold as a final product subject to hotfixes (called patches back then) if there were problems. One thing I really miss from those days was getting a nice, thick bound manual replete with nice pictures included with some sims. I remember having a ritual in which right after buying a sim with a thick manual from a store, stopping at a restaurant or bar on the way home and gleefully reading the manual like a fine novel. I still have most of those old manuals.
  8. I didn't see on the website though when the headset will be shipped.
  9. Same here. Contacted Next Level a couple months ago and they claimed a fix was coming. They later issued new beta software program and my seat will not work at all with that software. Crazy!
  10. No problem! We all make mistakes and you have owned up to this one. The really great thing is that you guys are diligently working to improve your product (unlike some other DCS developers . . . )
  11. I like the F86. In this new FC will it have an improved cockpit? Also will I be able to somehow fly the simplified model in the FF F86 campaign made by Reflected Simulations?
  12. Goodness. I already was really wanting this chopper but after watching this I want it 10 times more!
  13. My take is the opposite. The cockpit looks very realistic. I can read all the gauges in VR with no problem. Even the copilot looks good. At the moment its my favorite module. But as always YMMV.
  14. Agreed. But paying $1800 for a GPU just to play a couple games would put me AND my marriage on our knees! LOL! Wonder when the 5000 series GPUs are coming out?
  15. In a few months it will be going for $300 or less LOL
  16. I don't get it. Some people are paying $1800 for a 4090 graphics card and still have to turn down significant settings. If I paid that much for a GPU I would expect to be able to have all settings set to HIGH with a decent frame rate in VR. I just upgraded to a $500 4070 from a 3060 ti and can get 75+ fps with most settings on HIGH. My CPU is a measly I5-12600K. I do have DCS set as a high priority via Picasso Lasso and have a Booster program which shuts downs all background tasks and services. Maybe that is the answer. I also have a HP Reverb G2 headset.
  17. Cool. What brand and model chair do you have? I've been looking at such chairs for quite a while.
  18. How about the issue with the low cloud layer / fog I reported some time ago. Is that going to be fixed also?
  19. When you say "fogged down" do you mean there is an excessive amount of fog near the ground? I reported this issue to Reflected some time ago. I issue seemed to appear after a DCS update. Stopped me from flying the campaign until fixed.
  20. That's my problem. I'm close to 70 years old. By the time I go through the startup procedure of any of these modules, I will need a nap! LOL
  21. I agree 100 % with this. I will have to give this campaign a pass.
  22. Trailers? Oh never mind I found it! Looks good! Only issue I have is no ability to autostart.
  23. Yes, I've tried the VR preset, and adjustments below the VR preset, but on my midrange computer(I5-12600K, 3060ti) it still looks crappy with a low framerate on both ST and MT. And yes, I know, I can do like several others have done and spend thousands of dollars upgrading my computer and VR headset just to play DCS but there is no way I'm going to do that when I can play all my other PC games (including my racing sims) fine with what I have. I'll just fly DCS on my 4K 55 inch TV with trackir which runs beautifully with a very good framerate. Hopefully, one day DCS will produce a core engine which will create a similar result without having to break the bank. Also, I think its comical and a great disservice to potential customers that it continues to advertise with all its modules: "Recommended VR systems requirements (VR graphics settings): . . . CPU: Core i5+ at 3+ GHz or AMD FX / Ryzen VEGA 64; . . . ; Discrete video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 / AMD Radeon RX VEGA 64 or better;" I guess the folks at ED think "well, with this hardware you can still run the game at its lowest graphical settings at a couple frames a second, so why not recommend it?" I sure would like someone with these specs who are getting good graphical quality along with a decent frame rate to let me know how they are doing it.
  24. I definitely agree and its so frustrating that I can play that "other" WW2 sim in VR with all the graphics settings maxed out with no problem but struggle with DCS in VR. I know and understand that DCS was not originally designed for VR. Maybe they can make another version of DCS which is much more VR friendly? Maybe something with toned down map details if that would help? I for one would gladly pay for such a version!
  25. When I was using my G2 VR with DCS, once I got all the tweaking done after every session, I was too worn out to fly
