  1. I came to the same concluson. Was spending way too much time fiddling with VR settings to get the best balance between good looking graphics and fps. Gave up on VR for DCS for now and am enjoyng DCS on a 55 inch 4 k tv much much more.
  2. I opened the XRNS window and clicked on "OpenX" and then clicked on "Deactivate XRNS OpenXR API Layer." I then was able to log on to DCS MT without any upside down or distorted image BUT the necksaver does not work. In my instance, running a midrange computer in VR, DCS MT currently only gives me 2-3 FPS increase so its not worth the bother.
  3. I'm having the exact same problem.
  4. I got a one (a Reverb G2, v2) about 8 months ago after using a Quest 2 . I thought and still think its a substantial improvement over my Quest 2 for sim games. I got a refurbished one on Ebay for around $300 with a one-year Allstate warranty Ebay provided. Haven't had any issues with it yet. But with my luck all the problems will come after the warranty expires LOL!
  5. That's why some have reported the engine is underpowered. Must be those overweight pilots!
  6. I agree that the FM is better. However, WE NEED MORE CONTENT!! More instant missions, more missions, campaigns. All the other helos have loads of content.
  7. Ok. So they make lenses that are supposed to be usable with any VR headset? In just a quick glance at their website, I was under the impression that you had to order your lenses for a specific VR headset which may not work on another. Thanks to all for the recommendations. So far looks like VR Optician is the way to go.
  8. Im in U.S. Thanks all.
  9. I will be getting new glasses soon. Currently I use contacts when using my HP Reverb G2, Ver. 2 because I get a wider FOV. I am considering getting VR prescription lenses since I only use the contacts for VR. Any recommendations for the best places to get VR prescription lenses? Thanks!
  10. What I personally need is a very good but reasonably priced helicopter cyclic and collective.
  11. Personally my greatest desired flight stick is one with force feedback. I may be wrong, but I don't think those are being made anymore due to some kind of patent issue. As a result, I'm still using the long obsolete but excellent force feedback Microsoft Sidewinder 2. I have two of them that are centuries old but work like a charm.
  12. Great stuff! I have flown the Hell Hawks over the Bulge campaign. Its very immersive. Thanks for sharing this info. Maybe I will volunteer to do voice attacking like I did for Reflected's f-86 campaign.
  13. This is great, informative, and important historical information about your grandfather. Thanks for sharing!
  14. Reflected Simulations produced an excellent Wolfpack campaign which is overwhelmingly a bomber escort campaign. I would love for him (and if not him, someone else) to produce a campaign mainly geared to ground attacks, which is what the P47 really excelled at and is known for.
  15. I love the new sounds! I say keep them!
  16. Thanks for the info. But still way too expensive for poor old me.
  17. The modules in the kneepads give you a "GPS" type mark over a map in which you can mark your progress as you fly and see exactly what direction you need to go. Its one heck of a cheat but something very useful if you do not want to be bothered with realistic navigating all the time like me.
  18. What is the mixed version?
  19. Wrong sim. I was referring to that other WW2 only sim. It features a 109 g6 and you can shoot it all day long!
  20. +1 But in case you don't know, that "other sim" has one . . .
  21. Is that you in the video? If so, didn't know, in addition to being a world class campaign creator, you're a model to boot!
  22. I say let's get a G-6!
  23. Did the G6 model carry more ammo? My only pet peeve with the K4 is that it seems to carry just little ammo. Id be having great fun in the middle of a dogfight conserving my ammo like all heck and seem to run out in no time, ending all the great fun! All the other warbirds seem to have a reasonable amount of ammo. I really don't want to do the "unlimited ammo" thing but I may have to when I replay Reflected's great K4 campaign in its new updated Normandy 2 version. When playing that "other WW2 sim" which has a number of 109 variants, I never fly the K4.
  24. I noticed this strange behavior also when I was just beginning to fly this campaign very recently but temporarily shelved it when Normandy 2 came out and I started up the Blue Nose campaign.
