  1. Its pointing to the actual exes in their folders
  2. Are you sure you don't just have the original DCS exe set in profiles? What I did to make sure, I made of shortcut of the MT DCS exe on my desktop. I, of course, already had a shortcut to the original DCS exe on the desktop. I then set both the original and the MTs exe in the profiles section of OTT as two separate games. That way, no matter which exe I enable, the OTT applies the settings. Works like a charm for me.
  3. What's really funny is that for the life of me I could not (and still can not) get the neck safer to work at all under the original DCS build. But with the new MT enabled, it works like a charm! Go figure.
  4. I have a I5-12600K and 3060ti and Quest 2. I cannot get the Apache module to run at all with the MT it just crashes without starting. The Spitfire module will run maybe 20 percent of the time I try to start it up. When it does run, its looks alot better and with more fps than before. The other modules that run without crashing do so alot smoother and with much better FPS. Anybody know what the issue is with those two modules constantly crashing?
  5. Yes, Reflected is the Sim Man. I don't buy any modules unless Reflected has already made or is in the process of making a campaign for it. His campaigns are just that good. In fact, I wasn't even thinking about getting the Mosquito and then he went and made a campaign for it complete with a talking navigator for crying out loud who directs you, the pilot, like a real navigator does. Talk about immersion! Now, I have to get the plane and the campaign when it comes out. I think his Paradise Lost campaign is an all-time classic.
  6. I have a Quest 2 and I'm satisfied with the resolution it can achieve. Since replacing my cheap initial aftermarket cable with the official Meta Link cable which powers the VR as you use it, my headset is always charged. I would love to try the G2 given all the positive remarks I have read concerning its use for simming. However, I have also read quite a bit about the unreliability and cost of its cable and since HP is getting out of the VR business the G2 option may not be a viable one. I'm strongly considering a refurbished Pimax (not the Cyrstal) directly from Pimax. They have a great FOV. Some people have complained about how hard they are to set up though. We will see.
  7. I tried that with my Quest 2 ( I have a I5-12600k and a 3060ti but it did not increase my framerates. Open to any and all ideas. . .
  8. Just try to do all your homework before buying (which you appear to be doing) before pissing away your money. I have read quite a few posts from people with super high-end systems like the one you're planning on getting being somewhat disappointed with their VR experience with DCS. Not all though. Your current system is certainly no slouch. I think perhaps you should wait a while to see if DCS fulfills its promise to greatly upgrade their engine core soon. It might just be that DCS will run like a dream on even mid-level systems like mine without the need to put out $2500 or so for an upgrade.
  9. Thanks for all the information. Greatly appreciated. What is the A64 mod you mentioned? Also what do you mean when you say setting your Encode Bitrate at 450 makes your link drop out? I have been setting mine at the max of 500 (which may be a big mistake!) I agree testing on the Mariannas map is a good idea because that map is very tough on VR. If I can get good VR visuals and a halfway decent fps on that map, Id be set!
  10. But a pimax may cost quite a bit more. I'm thinking about getting one.
  11. Ok Thanks. I would love to take a look at your settings. I'm open to any and all suggestions. I have set my Encode Bitrate at 500. I have not set the Encode resolution width at 3680 but I have set it at 2912 and 3664 with no difference. But your 3680 is something I will try. Yes the AH64 on the Mariannas map is great way to the test. Both are very demanding. On the monitor, the Mariannas is absolutely gorgeous with all the settings maxed out.
  12. That's a good idea and I tried it but it didn't increase the visuals or FPS enough for me. I have faith that DCS will get its VR act together in the not too distant future and make us all super happy. I definitely want to get Reflected Simulation's upcoming Mosquito campaign. I think its going to be his second classic (the first being Paradise Lost IMHO). He actually has the navigator talking and doing lots of stuff during the flight which GREATLY increases the immersion. May have to break down and just fly it in 2d. Maybe a G2 would make things better. . .
  13. No steam vr. I have a standalone copy of DCS. For Il2 I set the Oculus hardware setting to 90 htz (or whatever that term is) and push the slider all the way to the right AND set the pixel override in the Oculous Debug tool to 1.5 AND max our all the ingame settings. Smooth as silk, get a steady 44 fps per eye and looks fantastic.. In DCS, forget it. Using the default Quest 2 Oculus setting and the Oculus Debug tool pixel override to 0, and the default VR ingame settings, its smooth but looks ugly to me. Ive spent at least 50 hours tinkering with all the settings in DCS because I love the game, but I'm just worn out. I really hope DCS improves things for VR.. I tried several times to go back to my 2d monitor for DCS but I just can't go back to a monitor anymore
  14. Makes me almost ashamed of myself complaining now how I can't get xx fps in my VR with maxed out graphics.. What if there was no VR or the state of graphics was close to same as in the 80s and 90s? I don't remember ever complaining about anything back then. How easy is it for us to become such spoiled brats!!! I wouldnt mind having that Steve Canyon Helmet now! Wouldn't fit my big head but it would look cool on the shelf next to my flight sim rig.
  15. I have a i5-12600k 3.7 ghz (not overclocked) with a 3060ti. I have the same issues with my Quest 2. Gave up on DCS until they optimize for VR. IL2 is a dream on VR despite my paltry system with all graphics settings maxed out and my Quest 2 render resolution set at 5408x2736
  16. These old games bring back such fond memories. And to think most of us thought the graphics back then were amazing LOL. I can't imagine what the state of sims will be like 100 or even just 50 years from now! I guess we will eventually have real Star Trek like holodecks in our homes in which we could literally step into a virtual world without vr headsets and those virtual worlds would be so real they would be indistinguishable from reality. We would be able to literally touch, hear, smell and taste things just like in the real world. There was an episode of either Star Trek: The Next Generation or Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in which Engineer O'Malley and Dr. Bashir (I think) used the holodeck to pilot Spitfires during the Battle Of Britain. They experienced exactly what the real pilots did in every detail. If I could only live long enough to experience something like that . . .
  17. I have the same problem. Been trying to use Necksafer with DCS since last October when I got my Quest 2. It works perfectly with Il2 but have not been able to get it work in DCS despite trying all the available versions.
  18. dieggo999 Im curious why you checked Vsync in your DCS settings for VR. How does it benefit? I read where someone else thought it might be beneficial for VR but I forget just how.
  19. Yes, if we are lucky we might get the long announced Corsair in 2023.
  20. Agreed. I decided to give up on using VR on DCS until they fix the problem. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy great VR flying in Il2.
  21. This. And also be sure to read thoroughly the return policy and written warranty. Caveat Emptor!
  22. Yall, lets stop BUGGING Reflected. His campaigns are the best on the planet and he constantly does all he can to keep them running properly despite ED's constant attempts to seemingly sabotage them!
  23. I play this wonderful campaign in 2d. With my rig, I have no problems with any stuttering or slowdowns when the 70 bombers show up and drop their bombs ( I know you recently optimized this which really helped). I can run this and all the other DCS campaigns I have including yours with totally maxed out settings on 2d without a hiccup. But for some reason, whenever my flight dogfights enemy fighters, I get constant stuttering which kills the immersion for me and makes the campaign unplayable for me. I noticed you had some stuttering when you were dogfighting in your youtube video of the channel map mission. However, your stuttering was not as bad as what I am experiencing. Any thoughts?
  24. I want that nice curved monitor! What brand is it?
  25. I did that originally but it did not work.
