  1. I just hate the flimmering textures below 4x AA. 4x AA plus deferred shading is just a problem with my Titan Xp at 1980 mhz with pixel density at 1.4 to 1.5. 25%plus or better Performance with new GPUs should handle this.
  2. I will come back to DCS once a 1180ti or new gtx titan is released and or vulcan.
  3. I got the Pro too and the difference is pretty drastic if you can run supersampling130% or more. However I cant see using it in DCS as there is no way to run this 90 fps withou killing all details and the Vive has no ASW. iRacing and Skyrim VR are super awesome tho. For DCS I will stick to my Rift even tho it hurts...
  4. In my opionion the answer is a clear no for DCS world for just one reason: ASW or more the lack of it on Samsung Odyssey. You will never reach 90 FPS even on Titan V with Odyssey ASW is a must to keep a steady 45 fps and keep 90 fps head movement. Some people are fine with reprojection I cant stand it.
  6. 130 + 180 = 310 also andere Seite. Er ist das Flugfeld ja erst angeflogen 130 Grad ist dann einmal drübergeflogen und dann von der anderen (entgegengesetzten) Richtung gelandet.
  7. So you play either Deferred shading off or you dont use MSAA (or have pixel count at 1.00) both is a no go for me as I have the better machine witha water cooled Titan X Pascal at 2000 mhz and 5k 8700k. May be I can use MSAA off on the Vive pro that has to be seen. Its subjective but I assume you dont have a rift.... I have booth and reprojection is quite crap in comparison to what ASW can do, even tho I prefer the real 90 fps to both. Edit: I find my comment might look offensive which is not meant to be. I just explore what is the best possible high end solution for DCS world now and in the future and in my opionion the vive pro wont be it even with a Nvidia next gen Titan (Touring Ampere or Volta or whatever they name it) unless ED gets Vulcan implemented and it really does the wonders. If not we are probably better off with the good old rift and some 4 times MSAA and render res of 1.5 in the next gen gpu and have ASW on than sitting in reprojection on a better clarity higher res image on a vive pro. Not exactly sure tho. I wish we would have a Rift pro with these newe displays. Or proper ASW in the Vive pro...
  8. As the Vive has no ASW the vive pro will not really work with dcs... I will get one but will have to use the rift. No way we get 90fps on the vive pro
  9. Cant start mission3: Need module for mission F-4E by Belsimtek. Great 2 first missions tho. Super immersive in VR in DCS 2.5.
  10. I really want the Pimax to succeeed but without Asynchronous Spacewarp, DCS already struggles to achieve 90 fps on high end rigs in the current gen. No way it will run anywhere playable with the Pimax.
  11. I just hope they have this on their list when they move to Vulkan API.
  12. Good thread. My Titan X Pascal is at 2000 MHZ and I have a 8700k at 5000 MHZ with 32 GB ram and intel optane ssd: I put 1.4 Super Sampling in Oculus Tool (somehow I have impression it looks better than ingame) Textures: high Terrain: high Traffic: Medium Water: Highg Visib Range: High Heat Blur: Low Shadows: flat only Cocpit Res: 1024 MSAA: 2x (without it shimmers too much... Depth of Field: off Lens effects: None Deferred Shading: On Clutter: Mid range Trees: Mid Preload Radius: 80% Smoke Dens: 1 Gamma: 2.0 Anisotropic Filtering: 16x Object Shadows: Flat I am quite happy while it doesnt always keep the 45 FPS for ASW mostly it does and it looks great however 90 fps I can only dream about the moment I put MSAA on and Defered Shading too.
  13. Titan X Pascal, 8700k at 5000 MHZ 32 gb ram intel optane SSD. The point is its only Normandy. Of course I can reduce trees to close to zero turn defered shading off buit hen I need different settings just for this map and it proofs taht this map in comparison is behind terchnically.
  14. Normandy Map is the only purchase so far I do regret. And I regret a lot. In VR its just unplayable. Super studders while Nevada and Caucassus run completely fine in 2.5. Constantly drops below 45 fps ASW then anything starts to shoot boom 20s. Its horribly optimized.
  15. 8700k. @5ghz, 32gb ram@ 3600 mhz, titan x pascal at2000 mhz. Render res i put 1.5 in oculus tool. Works good except in really super high density tree areas with yet i dip belo 45 fps for asw
  16. Woooow. My tip: mission generator. Put the Harrier, Winter season clear and turn time to 09:30. Its breathtaking. with defred shading.
  17. I have the Jetseat now for about 2 weeks and its absolutely fantastic. It adds immensely to immersion in VR. Especially in the Huey you finally have the feeling to sit in a real Helicopter. SUper highly recommended. Big plus also that the motors are so close to the body that they dont have to bump as loud as my buttkicker mini lfes on my sim racing rig for example where my neighbours can here it. These are just fine in a normal flat. Attached a pic. Ignore the cable hell on the right is my sim racing rig with one miullion additional cables.... https://imgur.com/a/xyCR6
  18. VR only flyer here: Its difficult but Defered Shading on, MSAA 2 times and AF 16 times and Supersampling 1.5 in Oculus Tool works with ASW and mostly 45 fps on my Titan X Pascal and 8700k at 5000 Mhz with 32 GB ram and Intel Optane SSD. Textures plus Terrain high, Traffic Medium, Water high, Visib Range High Blur Low, Shadows Medium and flat, Clutter Gras nearly off, Trees 74 % Preload max smoke 1 I am really happy with this setting but look forward for Ampere GPU and even more to Vulkan API together with higher Res headsets. No MSAA is impossible, buildings blink and shine like christmas trees in VR The dream guys its sooo close...
  19. agree its a huge compromise and now both def shad on and off are huge compromises unfortunately esp since VR wizhout msaa everything shimmers like crazy
  20. I am always back and forth in VR shading on or off... Without I can push render res to 1.5 and msaa 4x and everything looks sharp readable doesnt flicker but lightning is dull. with deferred shading i have to either turn iff msaa or put msaa 2x and render res down to 1.2 or 1.3 max for 45fps which has really nice lightning but everything flickers and text instruments are tough to read. very difficult. 8700k at 5GHz, Titan X Pascal at 2000 mhz snd 32 gb ram intrl optane ssd
  21. I like Huey and the Harrier best. The Harrier has a very nice panoramic view and its very compact which adds immersion for me.
