  1. The main let down for me regards the likes of BF2 and ARMA2 is two things- 1. Even using a full set of flight gear the game is built to be flown via mouse. So the aircraft behaves like crap. 2. The aircraft lack any basic cockpit targeting systems. If they fixed those two things I would consider ARMA2 flight despite its lack of complexity. In a perfect world the DCS Blackshark, and A10, plus EECH Apache, or the incoming Combat Helo's Apache should be flown over a fluid and massive multiplayer battlefield, and not against AI drones.
  2. Ok thanks Frederf, i'll look for a problem at my end. It might be a problem with the Ricardo pit and my dual monitor setup. I'll live with it anyhow as im in love with the Ricardo HD pit.
  3. This knob in the picture appears to perform that function when NVG is active. Regardless though if i am identifying the correct knob, i cant control it while nvg is active for some reason? Is this a known issue with or without Ricardos HD Pit?
  4. Hi, ive been away from DCS for a while, but have recently returned and am currently relearning some stuff. Anyway today I flew a stock mission with poor visibilty. The problem i was having though was that after deploying NVG I found that i could not operate cockpit controls correctly due to what appears to be a misalignment. eg: i cannot adjust NVG brightness while NVG are active as the mouse curser doesnt seem to align correctly with knob? So I found myself having to disengage NVG for each cockpit input. Has this bug been around for a while, or new? regards Kurtz spec- DCS latest version, X52pro, saitek pedals, TrackIR4(v5 software), Vista 32, Ricardos HD pit mod, custom sounds etc
  5. Your a champion Sabre :D BTW I ended up editing some the langauge switches to english as well as the [language.RUSSIAN] = "Sounds/l10n/USA/RadioSpeech.lua", edited to USA. All fixed :)
  6. Im an old user and im finding it a bit go back to eech until the voice is fixed feelings. In multiplay at least you can choose blue to get english voice, but try and fly a single play campaign when you only have red. You wingman is useless unless you can go all Firefox and start thinking in Russian :joystick: Thx for fixing the Betty anyway Dragon :)
  7. Nice one Boomer, thats what I was looking for :) Thx Guys
  8. Ive lost a texture since the last patch and was hoping somebody here could direct me to it. It was a chart located on the starboard side rear panel. The chart was in english and indicated which number to set the rotary depending on weapon type. eg: 3 = s8 or something like that? Does anybody recall what im refering to? I think it was a mode just for that rear panel.
  9. I think if you could cimbine the order "attack my target, or air defenses etc" and "hold position" the wingmen would be far more usefull. Wingman always seem to close in to cannon range once you give them orders, making the toast.
  10. All fixed Panzertard, thanks very much for your efforts :)
  11. Regards TrackIR, wasnt their an issue that could be corrected by deleting the trackir.dll or TrackIR.ini files that would regerate next start? Try searching back to FC2 release period here or at SimHQ and I think you will resolve your TrackIR issue easy enough.
  12. The picture shows my working multimonitor setup pryor to the last patch. If you follow the link in post #31 you can seen what it looks like now. In DCS if you use multimonitors part of the picture is displayed on an imaginary monitor on the right hand side of centre. The Phantomfix was created to push the displays all to the left to correct displays on twin monitor setups. When version 101 was released the the Phantom Monitor issue was corrected for most people, but was still required for ppl using right side monitor as primary. Unfortunatly twin monitor support is not native to DCS, but as you can see in my picture a pair of 22"w monitors looks quite good, and the picture size increase makes the clickable cockpit much easier to manage.
  13. Moving the monitors seems like a simple solution for most people, but in my case years of mariage a children has seen my computer hobby change from a dedicated room with large desk and speaker, to a fold away cabinet where Ive made my last stand. My war chest is the last hold out, where at this point ive repelled all assaults ;) Uploaded with ImageShack.us If you could edit the Phantomfix please it would be much appreciated :) regards Kurtz
  14. Ive got the same issue as Scooter. It happens if your secondary monitor is on the left side. Phantom Fix is broken for BS v102 for the same reason I guess it doesnt work FC2. Perhaps somebody in the know could edit the PhantomFix so it works with DCS BS and FC2? Referance Link- Look at post #190 of mine in the following link and you will see the old bug is back. Phantom requires update I think, but the author appears MIA Link- http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36551&page=19
  15. Looks like a great mod Yoda, but which aircraft does this mod work with?
  16. Can this mod be used to export the A10 mav TVM, RWD, and or perhaps the F10 theatre view?
  17. 1. I tried splitting FC2 across my two 22" wide screens with the same setup as I use in BS, but the "phantom monitor" problem is still present in FC2. The Phantom Fix utility used to correct this in BS doesnt work for FC2. I'd like to split my screen across two monitors, and export the "theatre view" and A10 TVM screen onto one side, but have not succeeded as yet.
  18. Yeah nice one DW, thanks for posting. The inclusion of your mission planning was great for noob pilots like me. A few questions- 1. The more I fly the A10 it seems the safest place is very low like flying rotors. Would that be correct? 2. What kind of radar altitude would you recommend generally assuming their were SAM threats in the area? 3. Is there a low altitude you can travel under which SAM's will not lock and fire?
  19. Im using Simulation mode but with labels enabled, with a labels mod that was created for DCS. Its far less intrusive than the default label clutter. Install is a simple file replacement. 20. I think an incompatability exists that prevents mission exchange between BS and FC2 at the moment. I tried moving a BS multiplay mission to the FC2 that contained an AI SU25. I set the SU25 to player and reset the KA50's to AI. The mission editor locked when I tried to save. I guess this is part of the BS compatability patch.
  21. Thanks for that guys. Crunch's link cleared things up for me :) The AmFor aircraft display it differently. The number you see is the last WP +2. So, if you have TO, WP1, WP2, LAND. What you see will be: 4 ILSN when you go to the Return submode. Presumably "WP3" (so to speak) is the Initial Approach Point (Fix) and WP4 (i my example) is the base itself. Also, you cannot select the return airbase as you can in the RusFor cockpits. The only way to change the briefed landing airbase is by calling "Inbound". The reply will come from the closest airbase and your Return nav data will change to reflect the new base.
  22. When the A10 is in ILS NAV mode the HUD displays a differant set of waypoints that dont appear to be selectable. Is this correct? and if so do the waypoints refer to Airfields? or a flight path for landing sent from the tower?
  23. I was thinking about running split screen like in DCS and having the F10 theatre view and TVM screen on one side. eg: This is my DCS setup which I would like to replicate in FC2 Is this possible in FC2?
  24. I just Alt+TAB out of the game and back in again to correct this. Seems to work for me.
