  1. +1000 !!! This should have been obvious to ED from Day 1 of the use of Aircraft Carriers in DCS ! That is to say almost for 4 years !!!
  2. Apparently ... no one is working anymore on the Supercarrier completion since months !?!
  3. OK ... all the "Eye Candy's features" are well in progress ... we all know that. But ... : >> What about the real usability of the module ? :music_whistling: >> What about all the major bugs listed since 3 or 4 months ??? :( They are more than 150 bugs detailled in the forum !!! And none of them have been adressed so far !?!? What about the basic ATC we have hoped comming with the release in May (I don't even talk about the advanced ATC we should expect at the end) ? Still no proper answers to all those legit questions from us ... the final users ! Still very disappointed about the way ED is managing the dev part of this module and the correspondent communication towards the SC's customers !!! So true ...
  4. I do agree ! I believe we are many DCS customers to hope that there is still at least one person (among 150) in the dev team still working on the core of this module (not the skins, the deck crew's animations, the Eye Candy's things, the useless "Ready Room", etc...) !? What I really can't understand is why they do not communicate at all ... at least to explain us that they are facing some difficulties on this module for this or that reason ... or that no team is anymore affected to this dev because of other more urgent priorities because ... Come on ED ... WE ONLY WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE THE SuperCarrier PROPERLY AS IT SHOULD WITH A REALISTIC ATC SYSTEM ! Please at least correct the major bugs ... ... we do not want to wait 3 years like for the F/A-18C, to have it completed ! The SuperCarrier is a module very much less complex than the F/A-18C module, so that should be much quicker ...! :( Let us understand what's happening ...?!?
  5. You are right ... I totally do agree ! That is exactly my point ! ... and that's the purpose of an Early Access version ... trying to solve problems on non working items ! That's much more important, for the moment, than developping another eye candy item ...
  6. OK but what for ?? ... right now, at this stage of SuperCarrier's module completion ?? At the end of the SuperCarrier project, maybe ... to add a bit of Eye Candy things, to change a bit the general atmosphere before taking a plane for a long mission ... ok, why not !? But come on, those are really secondary fonctionnalities !! Just now, as the module is barely usable during MultiPlayer proper&complete missions, and still full of bugs & missing parts in the recovery plane's management even in SinglePlayer, etc ... ... your best wish, what you really claim is : - to "be able to park your plane in the Hangar" and - to "be able to see the map & change your loadout from a new room instead of from your cockpit" ?!? Really ?? :shocking: It doesn't seem weird to you ...?? :( Sorry ... I absolutely cannot understand this sense of priority management and sadly ED seems to think like you ! ... we are definitely not using the same Combat Flight Simulator ... !!!
  7. No unfortunately ... not ! We are asking for that small modification since 4 months ... but it is still not there !! :( Is it too complicated ...? I dunno ... :music_whistling: So if you want to get rid of this unreallistic display tool, to try to keep the experience as real as possible, ... as usual with DCS, you'll have to use an unofficial workaround found by ED's customers themselves, and modify directly some .lua files in the Sim's core or module filesystem !:(
  8. And don't bother me with the use of the Stable Version instead of the OpenBeta to solve the problems (I have both of them installed) ! This doesn't change anything since the end of May ! The, so called, "Stable version" is full of blocking bugs on many modules and they definitely know it ! Since the release of the Supercarrier, to maximize sales, ED is pushing the "OpenBeta Version" towards the - so called - "Stable Version" very early in the process, with lots of bugs still uncorrected ! For the releases of the Supercarrier and the P-47, both in Early Access, the so called "debug process delay" between the release of a new product on the OpenBeta and it's availability on the "Stable" Version was around ONE WEEK ONLY !!! Knowing the legendary and despairing slowness of ED to fix bugs ... you can easily imagine that one week looks like a "funny" delay to hope to fix the significative amount of bugs on those quite complex modules to a least make them usable in an acceptable way during the Early Access period ...
  9. You are probably right - ahem ... I hope so - but it is much too slow ! And they give no news, no explanations to show us why they are taking so much time and why they are not even able to quickly fix some small bugs that would make the use of the module at least acceptable during the early Access period ! You can move this overlay out of your screen when it appears by using your mouse ... I know it's a poor workaround but apart from modifying some game files we don't have anything else ! Anyway, sadly, since many years, flying DCS simulator force you to a constant use of MANY workarounds to make the experience acceptable !!! That is no more a satisfying and acceptable situation at all for the regular supporting customers we are since many years !!
  10. Another week-news has just been published ... ... and absolutely no news about the Supercarrier Debug Process !! ... absolutely no news about the Supercarrier's awaited promised functionalities !! That's insane !!! It's an already paid module by lots of customers, it was released (almost 4 months ago) with a Big Buzz to maximize the sailing success ! I am sure it was a sale success ! ... but now, nobody at ED is prooving us that at least one developper is still working on it !?! ... That we could quickly have a Supercarrier really at least partly usable during full serious Multiplayer missions ??? In the WeekNews ... another Big Buzz is on the making for a succefull release of the "A-10C II" and then later the same for the "Mi-24" (see the heavy tesing for the Mi-24 in the new Syria Map video) ... but nothing for the SuperCarrier and small little things for the F/A-18C ! How long will it take to have a Debugged and fully fonctionnal & usable Supercarrier ?? ... more than 2 years like the F/A-18C ?,:huh::cry: Come on ED ... please respond appropriately to your clients' many worries ... From a disapointed old ex-Fan of ED (with a huge bunch of DCS module bought since more than 10 years)
  11. It's so well summed up! So true ... unfortunately you are absolutely right!
  12. Supercarrier ... 3 months after the "loudy" launch of the module ... we need answers Yes, we do know that perfectly, but as everybody noticed, ED was able to make huge efforts on communication, ads and so on, by many means during the pre-order period to maximize the sales of this module ... ok why not ... but then, ED should take care of their customers and continue to give some infos and at least explanations about the main bugs which corrections are so slow (those which are really affecting the use of the module) ! ... such a difference in ED's attitude (before vs. after release) is not commercially understandable ... you can imagine that it inevitably leads to the feeling of having been fooled by such attracting advertising before the purchase and so few attention after ! Ok, very well ... the ready room will probably be a nice feature ... but come on ... you should understand that it's not a necessary one for the normal use of the module ... a good, bug free and completed radio-communications system is definetely much more usefull ! Please do use yourself the supercarrier module in MP with a few piloted flights some AI flights around as well ... and you will see by yourself ! It is still not really usable !!! So please, shall we humbly request to your dev teams to do focus their efforts in making this (probably in the future) nice module really usable by ED's customers ? Please, could they reconsider the focuses and thus take care of not be wrong in the priorities order ? That would sincerely be really a lot appreciate ... OK but ... again ... Please, thank you to do correct the main bugs before working on new features ! For instance, even the future "AirBoss Station" is not really usefull for the moment if we can hope soon for a reliable and complete radio-coms system ! The "AirBoss Station" will certainly be a nice feature, for sure, but it definetly is not a urgent need for a basic use of the SuperCarrier ! Please think of the daily users in the OnLine Squadrons, they are some of your main support ... ! We all know that, BIGNEWY, don't worry. You are certainly not the problem yourself for sure ! The main bugs seem to be perfectly identified and sorted here on the forum ... and surely correctly reported to the teams ! The problem must be the amount of dev ressources attributed to an already saled module, and the dev+commercial priorities order ... and the respect from the ED's Company towards their customers, supporters and fans (which often are the sames) ! Don't lose a bunch of them stupidly ... It would be a real waste ! Thank you for your listening ! ... and sorry for my poor English. (An old ex-big fan, with a huge bunch of modules bought since more than 10 years)
  13. For sure ! ... and they are plenty of them !!! And unfortunately, some are really necessary to hope a basic and almost normal usage of the module in MultiPlayer !
  14. We should, at least, have hoped for some major bugs corrections with the 2 or 3 OpenBeta updates since the Supercarrier release ... but no ... NOTHING ! It's unbelievable ! ... and so far, very few reactions of us the customers ... !? :( I am, and I know many of us, in lots of OnLine Squadrons around, are too, ... I am and lots of us are ... very disappointed ...!
  15. Supercarrier ... 3 months after the "loudy" launch of the module ... we need answers How can it be possible, 3 months after the release, to have absolutely no news about this so awaited module ?!? So much Eagle Dynamics'communications and buzz around the release moment, so much hopes for us the passionate fans ... and then NOTHING ?!?! No bug corrections - or so few - and you know they are plenty of them, no news about the promised complementary fonctionnalities, no informations about the possible enhancements ... etc ... !?! The consequence is that, from our point of vue, It seems to us, customers and early adopters of this module, that nobody at Eagle Dynamics is anymore interested by the finalization of this Supercarrier !!! :dunno:
  16. I absolutely DO AGREE with your statement of the situation of this module ! Very disapointing for the moment ... ! The "Eye Candy" part is ok ... even nice. But that's not at all the main part of what we could expect of a high level state of the art CVN simulation !!! A powerfull AI managed Radio Communications global system for the Carrier Operations is mandatory ... and for the moment the comms are not usable neither reliable, the waiting stacking system of the planes is buggy, etc ... For the moment, the Supercarrier is not at all usable during serious multiplayer sessions (except for catapult starts) ! For us, a whole online squadron, we are back to the use of the MOOSE/AIRBOSS script which is not perfect but much more reliable and usable ! ... and we do not contact the SuperCarrier built-in Radio Station any more ... To summup ... we have all bought a new nice looking Carrier, with a new nice looking departing functionnality, and the main real progress ... the ability to "Spawn" with more than 4 "FlightSim Pilots" on the same Carrier which before was almost impossible ! And that's all for the moment and for this very long wait ... !! What a pitty ... ! :( I cannot understand how this situation is possible : ED has spent more than 18 months of development on this module, we had lots of attractive teasing ... but many real basic functionnalities we could expect are not at all present at the long awaited release time !! :helpsmilie: And last non-understandable move from ED ... after only one week on the OpenBeta Version, they have decided to push the SuperCarrier "as is" on the so called "Stable" Version !!?!?! ... with all those bugs and lacking basic functionnalities !!! Unbelieveable !! I have no more words ... so disapointed ... PS.: and to be clear to all, I was & still am an old BIG FAN of ED and DCS World : I have bought a total 62 modules so far for my 2 sons and my two own Sim computers ! But now on ... I do not buy any more module as long as ED is not back to a more Professionaly Customer Oriented Approach of its unique Business ... !
  17. For sure ! Usefull for initial training on Case II&II approachs !
  18. +1000 ! Very good and usefull Idea !
  19. Come on ED ... this is expression of some serious BUGs !! AI fighters shouldn't react like this when fired on by a Fox3 with a TWS lock ! You cannot tag this thread as [NO BUG] and never push it towards the Dev Team ...I can't believe that !?! The main objective of ED & Custormers is Realism with this Sim ... ! ... so please alert the Devs. on what should be done to correct this aberation !!!
  20. Yes Tony thanks. I know it now since yesterday, it's realy cool !! Yesterday we have tried it with the last version of MOOSE (main branch : May the 19th) during a MP session ... we are happy with that ! Good job ... quick reaction from them ! :) But now then ... for Marshall and LSO Radio chats, do you use the new SuperCarrier DCS Radio Comms or MOOSE/AIRBOSS Radio Comms ? From my point of view without having tested that much, I would say : - MOOSE/AIRBOSS Radios for Case I Recovery - SuperCarrier DCS Radio for Case III Recovery I didn't test Case II. What do you use, what is the best ? Does MOOSE/AIRBOSS need to evolve to interract better with the SuperCarrier ? .
  21. I do agree for sure ! It seems so obvious for many of us ... that it is really disappointing not to see those functionalities implemented in the new SuperCarrier !!:huh:  Only solution for the moment : Hope that the very powerfull AIRBOSS script (from MOOSE Lib) will be adapted soon to be able to take account of the 3 new SuperCarriers and make them work as they should !?! .
  22. Thanks ... very clear ! So that was right : in the F/A-18C (in DCS with the SRS system) : COM1 & COM2 are 2 Half-Duplex radios. MIDSA & MIDSB are 2 crypted digital Full-Duplex radios.
