I was like you, super excited 5 years ago when they unveiled the design, description and said stay tuned for the release date. After 2 years I lost hope, untuned and glad I did because here we are almost 5 years later, more than 5 years since first announcement and still no “when” on the horizon. My life is completely different, I’m a different person, the whole world has changed while they are still making TECS. Well, hopefully my kids will be lucky to see the release of the product when they grow up after they get born.

Been almost 2 years since the announcement and still no news. I wonder how in the world companies design and build a whole jet in less than 5 years.

Agree, moving taskbar to the right side of the screen works for me (not in full screen mode). When switching to full screen (ALT+ENTER) makes a noticeable difference, especially when flying low and looking down at the ground and trees. I don't know how much of FPS gain. All I care about is that it definitely makes ground smoother.

I personally like the curved stick extension and definitely prefer it this way. Not only that it looks better than straight IMHO but it works perfectly on my seat.

Ok, this freaks me out a bit: So in my previous posts I've mentioned that I can't update a firmware on my PC as Zbootloader would say "device is not ready" but I did update using my laptop. I was trying to find what could be preventing a firmware update in Zbootloader on my PC but to no avail. Tried to kill every possible 3rd party soft process like logitech etc. - no luck. Now just a few days ago I've tried to update a firmware to the latest released with DevCfg -C on the same laptop I did last time but as I click "Bootloader" icon it comes up with an error "invalid pointer operation". Nothing has been changed on that laptop since last time. But what's even more interesting is that now on PC that I previously had an error "device is not ready" I was able to successfully update the firmware with no errors. Also nothing has really been changed on my PC either. I really feel like I actually live in parallel universe now:blink:. Could any VKB staff actually explain what is going on let the metaphysics aside?

That's the thing. Once you learn how systems work all of a sudden a module becomes a joy to own and fly. BTW even since the release of Black Shark I've never really seen a proper working red flood lights in the cockpit. Even in 1.5 some of the knobs for lights weren't functional not to mention 2.* versions of DCS in which BS lighting is a complete mess.

It has been pointed out many times. Looks like no one is doing anything worthwhile with the older modules. KA-50, mig-21... If I was new to buy any of those modules I would be really disappointed and want my money back. Mig-21 has been in early access for 3 years now and in development for over 5 years and looks like it will never really be finished. As much as I might like those new modules in development from Magnitude 3 LLC I will not buy and support them anymore until I see Mig-21 fixed and enjoy flying it.

This annoying issue has been there for ages since DCS 2.0 with Deferred Shading. KA-50 needs to be updated! And who is gonna play with Deferred Shading off??? o_O unless you like everything to look worse than DCS 1.5

I hope mig will finally be out of the early access so I could start flying it.

I only pay import duties and taxes when something is sent with DHL. They have a customs brokers team that earn their bread this way cause they always charge fees for handling it all for you through customs and pay all fees on behalf of you but then you have to pay DHL before they can release your shipment:) Middleman are very expensive. Both 1.5 and 2.2 are on my M.2 drive and I only have around 30gb of free space left. Which version should I remove for the update? I guess the update will copy some files from 2.2?

I'd say he was very optimistic actually considering I don't even believe it will be ready before early 2019

OMG! That's it.:doh: Lost half a day and then had a thought that would probably be something that could make it work and BOOM! Yes! Then I saw your post:) Where have you been a few hours ago AeroGator? DEFAULT is the last step! That's critical, and you are right - the only thing that wasn't letting it work. I defaulted it but before and not after the firmware update. And sorry for having the angry mode on.:) I just had an issue with TNT yesterday stating that it was delivered but I did not receive it. So I called just to find out that my package was handed out for rural delivery (they thought I live in the rural area which I'm not) so dropped off my grip today morning. And then this issue here :doh: So here it is 1. Connect the MCG grip. 2. Open DevCfg -C 3. Click to start Bootloader that should close DevCFG and automatically start ZBootloader-C if you have it in the same folder. 4. Update the firmware 5. DEFAULT the system DONE! The red blinking Stick LED should turn solid green. P.S still looking at what is preventing a firmware update in Zbootloader on my PC.

Apparently I could not flash the firmware on my PC for some reason with either grip ZBootloader would say device is not ready. Tried on my laptop and was able to flash the firmware. I did go through all the steps as Bearfoot described but still can't make MCG Pro to work. Solid Green Stick LED on KG12, blinking red Stick LED on MCG Pro resitting the stick multiple times disconnecting reconnecting USB nothing helps.

Ok, so I figured that there is a bigger problem. The stick LED on a black box is flashing RED. So I tried removing it and put my KG12 grip on the LED turns GREEN, swapped to MCG and RED flashing again. Tried turning the grip. Nothing helps. Now that is freaking great! Been waiting for so long and was so excited the grip is finally here....a faulty bloody grip:mad:

So I got my MCG Pro grip for Gunfighter Mk.I today. The problem is the grip is not detected or shown in in VKB DevCfg latest version of the software nor can I install the MCG firmware BB_GF_MCGP_v1_91_7.vkb as it doesn't see.vkb extension only .cfg

Just remember 2nd January is only when your card will be or will it be? charged and then who knows how many weeks it will take for it to get into your hands.:music_whistling:
