  1. I hadn't been on here in a while until today. Not sure who is responsible for the new format of the forum, but let me go on record stating I HATE IT!!!
  2. I am a little confused on controller profile exporting and importing. When I export my controller profile, am I exporting it for all modules or just the one I am in? Do I need to export seperate profiles for each controller ie joystick, throttle, pedals, or do they all go together? Does the controller actually have to be plugged into that machine at the time of export or import? Thanks for any info. I am installing a fresh copy of DCS on a new machine and I would like to keep all my profiles but not sure quite how to do it.
  3. What? That makes no sense. I am talking about the saved games folder where the mods and input settings are, not the main game file.
  4. I am installing DCS on a new computer, from scratch. Can I just copy my saved games folder from my old install in its entirety to the new install?
  5. Super duper slow here (USA) too. Less than 1 mb/sec.
  6. On the trim hat, the non-modified settings are not mapped to anything....so its strange why it was mapped with a LCTRL modifier. Anyway, easy fix. And you guys are correct on the Master Arm pitch change, turning GUN/PAC off does the same thing. I do not remember A-10C doing this though.
  7. I am curious why the default commands for the Trim hat require a LCTRL modifier to be pushed to adjust the trim? Seems very odd. Also, I am getting a significant pitch up when I move the Master Arm from Arm to Safe. Anyone else? Seems odd that a switch would affect an axis?
  8. Too bad you have to jump through a bunch of sign in hoops through Google to participate.....
  9. K, I am pretty much a jet guy. I am confused by the mixture, prop, and boost controls, manifold pressures, etc. Is there a rundown for lame brains somewhere on this stuff?? :helpsmilie:
  10. So is there a way to NOT install the new pit? I don't care to loose my English cockpit that I am used to!
  11. Got myself this module for Christmas, not much time in it yet but its a beauty. Flies like a dream and the inside and out look great! Very nice work and looking forward to more from this company!!

  13. Are there default profiles included in the EA release?
  14. Yes, the cockpit is horrible (well, the displays and panels are ok) and hopefully it gets fixed soon.
  15. No, I didn't try that. I did but a coil and a half off the stock spring and that helped, but the extension makes a big difference too. Its actually pretty good with the 4" extension and the spring cut down, it still centers well but its much smoother and way easier to make precise corrections.
  16. I have had the TM Warthog since it came out, and while there are some great things I love about the setup, I have always had a love/hate relationship with the stick. It is way to stiff and heavy, which makes it very difficult to do any precise flying. When I first got it, I would set it on the desk, which placed it too high and just made things worse. Then I made a mount to attach it to the front of my desk, which placed it in a more natural position but I was still fighting that godawful heavy spring. I messed with different spring setups, and finally even cut a coil or two off the big spring inside, which did help a little. But it still kinda sucked, and I was getting to the point that dropping $500 for a VKB base was starting to look like a good idea. Then I decided to order a stick extension (E-Bay, from a seller in Poland nolimit.2007). Got that yesterday, installed it, and wow what a difference! I went with a 10 cm (about 4") and it made a huge difference. I need to work on the mount to get it positioned perfectly now, and I might even try a 15 cm one, but I should have done this years ago. If you've got a Warthog, give an extension a try. It makes a huge difference. MD
  17. Yes, it would good to have something before release. Will there be a release trailer soon? Academic videos?
  18. I have a few Reverb questions I hope you all can help me with! I got my Reverb today, I have been using a Rift S. I am super happy with the clarity of the display on the Reverb, I am seeing details in the cockpit I have never seen before!! It does have its quirks, but so does the Rift and Rift S. My system was pretty much state of the art a couple of years ago (see specs in signature) but now is probably more a high-midrange setup. So far though, performance is much better than I had expected! I am still tweaking and tuning but it looks like it will run as good as my Rift S did and still have a MUCH clearer display! Couple questions: What should be my procedure for starting DCS? I have always used Skatezilla's tool, but the Reverb won't fire up unless I manually start the WMR portal for Steam VR first. Is that normal? Also, Oculus starts too....is that needed, and if not, how to stop it? Also...how do you set the IPD? I know its software on the Reverb but I haven't found the setting yet. Thanks!
  19. I just got mine set up today. 1080 ti. I am still getting it sorted but so far performance is much better than I expected! I have only flown over Nevada so far, but it seems pretty comparable to my Rift S for frame rates. I even cranked the SS in Steam VR up to 130% and its still good. The clarity on this thing is incredible!
  20. I just pulled the trigger on a Reverb. My Rift S started acting up and after going through a excruciatingly long trouble shooting with Oculus, it is back in their hands and I am waiting for them to get around to sending me a replacement. I am not real thrilled with their service right now. So....what do I need to set up to be ready for the Reverb. I have never used a WMR headset before.
  21. According to Jake Melampy's Viper Guide, there have been various different tints used on the Viper. On a D you can even find differences front to back.
