  1. About 656 AAC: We would like to open the doors at 656Sqn AAC here at JSW for any potential pilots to join us in flying the Apache AH.1. We have a comprehensive training syllabus that covers all aspects of the aircraft's capabilities, and will develop any pilot into a forward thinking section or flight lead. We pride ourselves with flying as realistically and as close to UK and NATO doctrine as possible, slightly different to the US Army SOP which is so often used in other rotary wing groups within the community. These techniques, tactics, and procedures are taken from IRL documents, and lessons learned from flying (online) and talking with current and former AAC, FAA, and RAF pilots. We have extended connections with IRL AH64 instructor pilots and line pilots from a multinational background, so you can be sure that what we teach is as close to as can be as per the current Early Access build. We usually have a weekly training night which focuses on a single topic or tactic, building on the previous week, leading to a mini-missions and a training campaign to put them into practice. This is supplemented by having Fast Jets on tap, utilising JSW's fixed wing squadrons as part of a joint-training opportunity. This is culminated in a organisation-wide campaign in a different theatre, several times a year. Training is fairly relaxed, there are currently no minimum commitments to be made, though it would be ideal to lend yourselves to the training nights at least twice a month, and participation in the campaign missions would only cement everything together. We are currently a fairly small team, made up from pilots form other JSW squadrons flying the Apache as a 'secondary' airframe, with very few committed Apache pilots on the roster. Hopefully you can help us grow, all experience is considered. There will be a short one-hour filter flight to go through with one of our QHIs just to demonstrate your current ability with the airframe, where you may then be given an invite to join the sqn full time and jump straight-in with the training and missions. We look forward to seeing you on the flight line! About JSW: JSW exists to provide both fixed and rotary wing training and combat operations in both the Modern and Cold War eras that are as close to current & former British military aircraft, tactics and SOP’s as our knowledge, ability and the limitations of the DCS platform allows. We have both current and former fast jet pilots in addition to other ex-military personnel, flying instructors and airline pilots amongst of members to lend us their expertise and real life experience and help us achieve our goal. We operate airframes that are as close to real life current/past British operated aircraft in their respective squadrons that are currently available as full-fidelity modules in DCS. 2. About 892 NAS: 892 NAS is a fictional Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm (FAA) F-14A squadron operating from the R01 Queen Elizabeth Forrestal class carrier. We pride ourselves on simulating real RAF / FAA tactics and procedures in cold war jets with a relaxed attitude. Currently 892 NAS primarily conducts A2A missions with the F-14A but also with a secondary A2G role in both PvE and PvP situations, however we intend to convert to F-4 Phantom once this arrives. We fly against Mirage F1 and will eventually fly with Tornado GR1 squadrons on our dedicated cold war server. In addition, we occasionally fly with our modern era sister squadrons in JSW (F-16, AV8B, AH-64) and also with external, likeminded squadrons. If you are interested in learning real RAF / FAA tactics in a cold war setting and flying with others we are now recruiting both Pilots and/or RIO's, all that is required is a commitment to regular attendance, appropriate hardware and some level of competency in flying the Tomcat.
