  1. Yeah that's the way I usually do it. Tbf there are only ever three of us flying in the missiin so it's not a huge issue for take of actions or hard decks. There are other functions in DML that are a God send. I just wanted to clarify what was available in DML. DML so far is playing very nicely alongside other traditional methods and scripts although I did have an issue with MOOSE atis and I'm not sure that is a dml thing. I'll need to double check.
  2. Thank you for the quick reply. I'm only just dipping my toes into DML and it's very impressive so thank you for creating such a great system. The manual is substantial and I am busy working my way through it, I just wanted to check if the things I mentioned where available in some way. I can continue to do it the way I've done it in the past and DML still helps to vastly speed up my mission creation. Thanks.
  3. Is it possible, and if so which modules should I be looking at, to monitor in game events and output a sound file based on a clients agl. Scenarios I'm thinking of player x has taken off and once height above x feet a soundfile for wheels up or creating a hard deck for acm, player x has gone below x feet and sound file for knock it off. I'm also thinking about other events such as hit, shot etc. Can they be monitored and utilised?. Thanks in advance.

  5. Having a strange issue. Trying to create a mission with a pre planned building as the Target. I'm placing a waypoint at the centre of the target at ground level and have also tried placing an ST point in the centre of the building however when queing the target with the lantirn pod the crosshairs are always off to the side of the building instead of the centre and thus requiring a manual adjustment. What am I missing? I dont think its a magvar issue as its happening on various maps and the target is always offset to the side. Is there an alignment that needs to be done for the pod or is there a bug or something else? I didnt want to report it as a bug in case its user error. Any help appreciated.
  6. What format do you save the texture file as in Nvidia export tools? My folders show in Model Viewer and when I load my texture the textures appear in the texture drop-down but don't load on the model. The fuselage disappears. Thanks in advance.

  8. @baltic_dragon Looks like Mission 2 may still be bugged. Followed it to the letter. After tanking Wingman cuts away. I anchor at waypoint 4 and wait but there's nothing. Tried putting more distance between me and him by flying to waypoint 3 as he seemed to only fly about 40 miles before turning back but there were no tapes on call or magic calls other than the checkin. Tried this mission 4 times now but same every time. Also noticed that the in-flight kneeboard has strike on Comm 1 channel 4 but the briefing kneeboard is correct with magic/strike on 3 and ship on 4. In the end, I just returned to the ship and landed (3rd attempt ). Scored a 50 draw so decided to take it and crack on but would have liked to have played the mission out. I'm flying on open beta latest edition for this date. Don't expect a reply and not complaining. Just a heads up. Cheers
  9. It would be very useful if we could hold ai aircraft when taxiing. Would allow for a mission scripted atc with custom voice overs. So, for example, we could hold an aircraft at the active runway while it is given clearance to depart or to hold aircraft in zones or on ramps while others taxi.
  10. Currently if trying to monitor bomb in zone the condition will be true even if the bomb flies through the zone but doesn't actually land in it. Could the logic be changed somehow to register only those bombs that land in the zone. Possibly an altitude function.
  11. Yep having exactly the same problem as described in op. Tried Urbis autoexec.lua but still no joy. Was hoping to have a go at a livery for the mossie competition recently announced. I'm not willing to install stable just to get the model viewer though so guess its tough luck

  15. No sorry didn't fix it. Removed all mods so that it was the only one there but still no joy. It shows as installed in dlc page but can't find it at all in the mission editor. Tried setting different countries, usaf aggressors, combined blue, time settings but no joy. Just wondering if there is anything in the mission setting that has to be right such as mission date? Cousin tried as well but he's having the same issue.
  16. Thanks for taking the time. I'll check over the weekend when I'm able to get on next. I don't use OVGME or JSGME. A bit earlier in the forum admiral suggested a texture conflict with white.dds so will look into that as well. Really appreciate the help.

  18. Yeah unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. I got someone else to try it as well but they can't see it either. I wonder if its conflicting with another mod I/we might have installed. Thanks for the reply though
  19. Hi all. I cant see the LCU-1627 in ME. I've installed it to the \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech Does it need to go somewhere else or has it stopped working or is there an update? Any solutions? Thanks

  21. Yep I've been seeing those blackouts. Also non VR. I think its only when I've used the harrier but I'll be doing some more testing and checking my settings before I report anything incase its my end.
  22. The save option seems to be doubling up on the file extention .diff.lua so it reads .diff.lua.diff.lua even if you click on a previously saved file. It wasn't asking if I'd like to overwrite the file but instead saving a new file with the double extention. Try renaming the file where you've saved it. Not sure if that will definitely work as I didn't risk loading binds back in and having to start again, but worth a try.

Same as above but The VoIP manual does say As a workaround I went into the Radio VoIP controls and added a modifier button from my throttle so that I can continue to use the same comms buttons as usual for the radio F1-10 menu and include the use of the modifier button when I want to talk to my wingman using VoIP. Its all I can think of doing for now.
