  1. I always respect everyone's thoughts, but perhaps you have misunderstood what I meant. I love this simulator so much that I have all the modules, all the terrains, all the campaigns except 2. I really like the graphics and the special effects. I just said that there are things that a simulator (if it is called a simulator and not a video game) must necessarily have. DCS is a real simulator, for me the best. The real life of a pilot is not to launch missiles from morning to night. First there is flight, mission planning, the use of cockpit avionics such as radio and radar etc. These parts are essential for a simulator. When making a cold start, the first thing a pilot does is to communicate with the tower via radio, respect the taxi, the holding point, alignment with the runway etc. For human users I know perfectly well that there are real pilots but in a battlefield there are several aircraft and vehicles. Not always 100% human. And when there is AI, intelligent behavior is important. Unless you prefer to have static targets available to blow up for the player's delight. For the switch with graphic transition from VR to Monitor it was made today. DCS is an excellent simulator and requires both monitor and VR use. Being the parameters different this was an interesting option to avoid setting DCS every time. VR is now essential and DCS in VR gives its best. Try VR if You never have done this.. You will see what I mean. If You have tried VR You should know that there are different settings. Then I also like special effects. No doubt about this. Finally, mine were just personal suggestions for the beautiful road map provided by Kate. Realism is very important to me and I believe this is also the mission of DCS. It is thanks to this that DCS is so beautiful and realistic today. Products like Supercarrier represent a goal of maximum approach to real life. Obviously it's just my opinion .. :smilewink:
  2. First of all thanks Kate for the clarification of the road map and for the transparency. Correctness is always a positive value. I love DCS World and in fact I own almost all the products. My suggestion is to focus on the priorities since everything cannot be done simultaneously and creating modules as complex as functioning and graphics is a really difficult job. (special thanks to the whole team for this). The Supercarrier is wonderful and I bought this immediately in EA. But it's still a new Module! Few days again is not a problem. What is priority? In a simulator, I believe, the priority is to make things that lead to being as close to reality as possible. Seeing an even more beautiful explosion is amazing but it is not the core of the simulation. The priorities are: - ATC: because every plane first of all in flight communicates (I am also a real pilot and I know how important aeronautical radio is) - A/G Radar: F-18 and other modern fighters are multi-role. A/G radar is very important, even not completed in the first time. - AI / Dynamic Campaign: the behavior of enemy units is essential for simulation. The unpredictability of a real scenario is not a shooting range. - VR / Monitor Preset Switch: 2 graphic presets decided by the user to switch between VR and Monitor settings. One click and DCS World is ready for your VR graphics set, another click and it's ready for the monitor. Having said that, I always consider DCS the # 1 combat simulator ever. Thanks to ED Team for the great work done and the great passion with which this product is developed.
  3. I think all FC3 aircraft are fantastic and it would be nice to have them with a clickable cockpit. The F-15 is still in service but so are F-16, F-18, A-10 etc. The same goes for excellent planes like the Mig-29 or the various Sukhoi. Before creating new modules from scratch it would be nice to have these in advanced version while keeping the simplified version for new simmers.
  4. Thanks, I believe in the DCS project and I consider it as the best project in the world of military simulation. I realized that there are different settings for Monitor and VR despite having powerful hardware. To get the most out of this fantastic simulator it would be perfect to have dual user configuration callable with a click. Not being a programmer I can only give a personal suggestion to the ED Team. I think it would be a valid option for all those who fly both with monitors and with VR.
  5. My little tip for DCS World. In the graphic settings we have different parameters that change both for hardware power and for personal taste from user to user. I fly both with a 34” monitor and VR. We have 3 Presets available for the monitor solution (low - medium - high) and a Preset for the VR solution. Normally a user starts from a Preset and then changes something between the various parameters. It could be interesting to implement 2 User Presets. One for use with the monitor and one for VR. The user could start from a default Preset and then save his “User Preset”. So when the user uses the monitor or the VR he will press the virtual button relative to his settings. What do you think about this option? :)
  6. Yes... great news today.. only few hours.. Thank You ED & GA... I’ll be on YouTube at that time..
  7. Great job as always.. thank you for your support with these wonderful guides [emoji106] Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  8. Bought... me too!! The Viper is not in question.. every Simmers should have it in the virtual hangar.. Decision to buy it taken in a second..
  9. Great news ... yes... Inviato dal mio iPhone utilizzando Tapatalk
  10. Thank you for these informations and suggestions. I really appreciate your support that is at the highest level how DCS World is among simulators. So the decision is taken for me.. I don’t have a VR now, but I’ll have one in the next weeks. Considering we are in the first days of april I’ll stay tuned and I’ll check the informations you all are writing. When we will arrive in the middle of may I’ll buy my VR keeping in my mind to create a balanced system between my PC and my VR goggles. Done this I’ll appreciate more and more the masterpiece created by ED and other partners. I hope we will continue to update the news of VR world.
  11. So, is correct to say that in the next 2 months we all should stay tuned on news from these VR devices? Any other to put in list? - Oculus Rift S - HTC Vive - HP Reverb - Samsung Odyssey - Pimax 5K
  12. Yes I agree with You, John Hargreaves, I think in the next days we can update this discussion with news from the market. I confirm that are great days for flight simulation world. The upgrade of DCS from 1.5 and 2.0 to arrive to 2.5 is something incredible. Now that GPUs can help us to have a great simulation experience and DCS World is upgrading each week I think the VR is now a must. The next 2 months a lot of products will be released. So we have to stay tuned. I've tested VR with other products some time ago but when I tried DCS in VR, last week, was simply without words. Opening my eyes and finding myself inside an F-18 in a Carrier, real dimensions, the cockpit around me, Persian Gulf around me.. everithing was incredible. The same second I saw all this I decided to buy a VR goggle. So thank You to all for the support in this VR evolution.
  13. Copy! When we talk about HP Reverb VR we mean this? My budget for VR is from $ 400 to $ 600 but if I find a real best option I can even go upper with price. In my VR test what my eyes has seen is priceless if compared to the emotions. So in the next days I’ll look for news about VR and I’ll keep my credit card with “Master Arm” in the ON Position.. ;-)
  14. Ok.. the timing for buying a VR device is may as I imagined. So from now to that period we should look for as much informatioms as we can. Above all we need to know the relative PC hardware for the 3 best VR options.
