  1. Hey everyone. Beta 1, my force feedback sidewinder 2 worked just fine. However, with Beta 2 the force feedback kicks off as soon as map loads, weather its single or multiplayer. Anyone have a fix for this issue ?
  2. Ya bud, that's why i posted this thread... NEXT !
  3. Hey everyone, I just upgraded to 1.0.1a and i'm not seeing very many servers up and running, only 3 people on there yesterday. Is everyone just in the middle of switching to the new patch? Or is there something i don't know? Thanks !

  5. Check this then..... 2 vids.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRaNnpIdYWY&feature=channel_page
  6. I can confirme this as well, Windows7 64 bit offers pretty smooth gameplay and there are ATI and Nvidea drivers out there.
  7. Honey "I NEED IT" Don't you want me to be happy ? I love you...... That's both a plea and a complement. When you get your combo, take her upstairs and show her how much you mean to her.... then come right back downstairs and try out your new kit.
  8. I drop to the deck, and do a sharp turn, try and keep the threat on your "Beam" or 90 degrees to yourself... that will help the missile pass behind you if you are able to get it to go for a decoy. Be aggressive when you fly, it's the only way to survive in DCS BS
  9. Hey guys and gals...:music_whistling: Can someone tell me how to add a briefing picture to my online map ? I need to know what resolution it should be and what folder i should drop it in... thanks in a advance ! :helpsmilie:
  10. Hold on there tex !!! I got some info for ya. First of all, if you want a big gain in FPS, use the 64bit version of vista. Secondly, once you start your game, Alt-Tab out, bring up task manager, go to process and right click on DCS.exe.... hit, set affinaty, and put a check mark in the cpu 1 box.. so your enabling both cores. "This does not make a difference in 32bit systems (myne for sure), but does in 64bit as i went from 32Fps to 48FPS" No bull. And last. yes, a new vid card will help, i went from an ATI X1950 pro 256mb ddr3 to a ATI HD4830 512mb DDR3.... just last week... that coupled with the affinaty settings leaves me with a smooth and flawlesss sim, no matter if there are 4 sharks kickin up dust, or a B1 B carpet bombing in that same area. Hope that helps. 5200+ 2.6GHZ AM2 64x2 Dual Core 6GB DDR2 800Mhz ram HD4830 512 DDR3 vid card "set to optimal Quality" Sata H Drive
  11. Huge differance for myself. Went from Windows XP 32 bit, 2gb ram to Vista Ultamate 64bit, 6GB Ram. Very very nice...... by changing the affinaty i went from 35 FPS to 49 FPS. I don't mind bouncing out the desktop to change it, and i would like to give a special shout out to whoever found that out !!!! this sim works excellent with Vista 64Bit.
  12. Back flips are pretty cool.. seen a few peeps doing them on the server.
  13. Center Shvall is your friend.....Map it to SPACE bar....... so is mapping trim and trim reset to your flight stick. Zooom out slow, and Zoom in slow should also be mapped to your flight stick. Enjoy.
  14. Very cool, i have a backpack in ACU cammo, very nice !
  15. I dunno about the rest of you, but i've pulled off some very crazy manouvers in the KA-50. Blade collisons are rare these days but i'd like to give you some examples of manouvers that have worked for me with great ....... courage ?? muhh ahhaha. Here we go. #1 Dive and Reverse direction, Hi speed. Say your at 800p, you being pursued....... Drop collective and roll the shark upside down and slowly pull back on the stick, keep it nose down untill you get your overspeed warning and start pulling up. If you don't pull up to hard, you will pull it off and not have a blade collision or damage. #2 Hard Turn right or left when being chased. Ok one of my personal favorites when i'm being chased or need to change directions ASAP. Drop collective and roll the shark almost 90 degrees right or left... the forward airspeed and low pitch of the blades will allow you to pull very hard on the controls with out a blade collision. once you've turned around you airspeed will be low and you will surely get a low Rotor RPM warning, give it not even half collective to recover. Your generators may kick off line when you get a low RPM warning but hey, if you in combat it's not going to matter. These are not textbook Black Shark moves, these are my moves, and have worked for me. Happy Hunting.
