  1. I thought this was the case too until I found that if you loose TrackIR just unplug the sensor and plug it back in. DCS will pick up the change and it will start working again. Same for TrackIR software crashes. Relaunch the software then unplug/replug the sensor. It will correct itself. I think this is an issue more with Windows and how it handles devices than it has to do with DCS.
  2. The Windows Key + D will work. Alt Tab will only cycle through open applications not to the desktop.
  3. I would rather a working radar and weapons over some switch animation. It is early access. Everything in due time.
  4. Turn off the Hear Like In Helmet option. Sounds seem fine to me on my end with that off.
  5. Make sure you have the open beta release and not the stable release of 2.5. Given it's EA status it is not on the stable branch just yet.
  6. I have the x56 and personally I dont mind it. I dont use the software as it has caused issues with getting command right. There is also a usb power issue that causes the software to freak out and randomly input keys or miss your inputs. I map all my controls in-game. I am looking at replacing the joystick at this point. The throttle is really nice on the x56 with all the buttons and axis but I dont like the joystick. As a hog flyer missing the CMS thumb on the stick makes things interesting with some of the key bindings. Along with that the pivot cup that the joystick has at the base cases jinks in my movement that make it more challenging for AA Refueling and formations, etc. While I am not the biggest fan I am not the biggest critic. I have been using for about a year and It works just fine. For a first Hotas or one on a budget it is great before going to the warthog or similar.
  7. Wags first off thanks so much for being the tip of the spear for your team, you are doing a great job over there. Second thanks for that info. I found what you mentioned and found from was set way high. Using the NATOPS I can find my trim settings per weight. Thanks again!!
  8. When taking off with a hot start plane I have terrible trim problems where the plane lerches nose up and I have to lay on the trim down to eventually fix the nose problem. This is after spawning and re-arm/refuel. Is there a way to check what trim is set so this doesn't happen. It has happened once or twice also on a cold start but not as often.
  9. Here you go man. I have attached my layout that I use with my X-56. Not perfect but is a good ground work. X56 H.O.T.A.S. Stick {8066C280-B587-11e7-800C-444553540000}.diff.lua X56 H.O.T.A.S. Throttle {8066C280-B587-11e7-800E-444553540000}.diff.lua FA-18 Joystick Configuration Map.pdf
  10. lol...This is killing me. Change logs updated but ah cant get it fast enough.
  11. The radios are still very much WIP. Unless it is a preset on Comm 1 it will not work from my experience.
  12. Personally I have had no issues with it. I have had it about a year and it has done everything I have needed it to do. There are some oddities to how you have to map stuff since the joystick has that thumb axis that I don’t use but other than that I love it. I was in the fence like you since everything out there is stating problems left and right but again I have had no issues.
  13. For the server run time it doesn't matter if it runs for 10 min. As soon as clients connect it starts to freak out. I will look into the calling home. May be the point that is causing the freak out. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for the reply. The logs are attached and a crash dump is also attached. When the issue happens there doesn't seem to be any crash dumps usually. The server just hangs until DCS is killed in the Task Manager. dcsLogs.zip
