  1. Quest 3 here. Disabling Public Test Channel (PTC) did the trick for me.
  2. Hi Nobiwan. Sorry to bother you, but I am stuck.

    I just installed the latest XRNeckSafer yesterday, in order to be able to check six in the latest DCS World Open Beta (multi-thread, now natively OpenXR instead of OpenVR thus my old OVR Advanced Settings setup won't work).

    I could launch the app and bind some buttons, no problem. But when I tried to launch DCS, DCS would crash every time. The only way I could get DCS to work again, was to completely uninstall XRNS.

    I have read that some people install OpenComposite too. Is that mandatory just to use XRNS on the latest DCS, which already uses OpenXR natively?

    I'm using OpenXR Toolkit also, if that matters. Vive Pro 2 also.

      Hi,

      there is still some strangeness going on with XRNS and the new native DCS OpenXR version. For some people it works out of the box and others have problems like you have. I currently have about zero time to look into it, unfortunatly. However, it seems that the SteamVR version of DCS together with OpenComposite usually works fine with XRNS. Even in MT I heard.

      OK, no rush, thanks for the reply anyway. I read today that somebody else said it works on their Quest 2, so maybe it's just incompatible with my Vive Pro 2? I never tried it before MT dropped.

      Some more data, for whenever you get time: When I select 'Show Active OpenXR API Layers' on the openXR tab, this appears:

      Also, I found out that OpenComposite is not compatible with the Vive Pro 2, per the dev on their Discord today.

  3. This can happen is you are using a scaling higher than 100% on one of your monitors. You could try "high DPI settings" under the Context Menu>Properties>Compatibility tab for the XRNS shortcut.
  4. Strange indeed. Can you have a look with regedit what is listed under HKLM\Software\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ApiLayers\Implicit ? Delete all entries that contain XRNeckSafer and reinstall XRNS.
  5. Try resentering the vr environment. What are the values you set for "start at" and "amplify by"?
  6. For b) you can use the "hold" button. Check "toggle" to give it an on/off functionality. Btw, beta4 was just released.

  9. Yes, it's on the todo list. It may take some time though...
  10. Looks good to me. The remaining layer you marked yellow is the OpenXR toolkit layer which has nothing to do with XRNS. So your uninstall went fine and you can reinstall the XRNeckSafer API Layer. Just make sure you restart Mixed Reality Portal after installation and of course don't forget to hit the "reset" button after game launch. If you still want to delete the registry entries have a look here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ApiLayers\Implicit Oh, and alway use the zip file for installation! The master may contain experimental things that might not work correctly at the moment...
  11. Strange. Are you running steamVR as admin? Then you might need to run VRNS as admin too... Also, if you changed your MB the joysticks will have a different id. Better delete the VRNeckSafer.cfg file and configure it again. Other than that you could try a different starting order... VR is still a mess and full of hurdles. I noticed on my system that sometimes it depends on how quick the apps that depend on each other are starting.

  13. Hi all, great app! Is there a way to move the focus point (the point where you have to look at to make the kneeboard grow) from the middle of the kneeboard to an area higher than that? I like the default position of the kneeboard but I need to bow my head very much down to activate them. Once activated I can lift my head again to read which feels unnatural to me. Would be nice if the kneeboard activates earlier when looking down. Thanks and cheers! NobiWan
