  1. The screenshot probably doesn't do the VR experience justice, but I've taken it for a test flight and I noticed that the text labels were bigger where room would allow for each instrument. This is just my personal opinion, but I would give up realism for the largest text possible just to make flying easier, and ironically, closer to what you'd have in real life in that you'd be able to glance at your instruments and make sense of them more quickly. As a point of reference, the A-10C cockpit works great for me in VR and I really wouldn't change much about that cockpit. Also noticeable to me is that there is a lot more contrast between the black background and the white text. I feel like the default text color has more of a gray tint to it, and a solid white (#FFFFFF) would help a lot. Also it appears to me that the fonts are higher resolution in some way with sharper edges, but this goes beyond my knowledge of graphics/textures. This could just be my perception and I could be very technically incorrect. Edit: After looking more closely at the side-by-side comparison in the screenshot, the font size looks about the same, but it's pretty apparent to me that the white is much white-er and has much greater contrast. Perhaps the English cockpit mod could have a version with an extra-white set of text labels as an option.
  2. Thanks for this mod, it's fantastic! It's a huge boost to those English speakers that want to fly a full-fidelity fourth-gen fighter in DCS. Of all the modules I've flown in DCS, the stock Mirage cockpit is by far the hardest to read in VR. This may be out of scope for this project, but I'd like to humbly suggest an idea for VR fliers. Would it be possible to make the translated text bigger and more clear like in this mod?
  3. It's a known issue and has been fixed internally by ED, but nobody knows when the fix will be released. If you want to play multiplayer you'll have to revert to a version that has it.
  4. I fly a lot of modules and run multiplayer missions with a lot of different aircraft types in addition to JTAC and AWACs. Is there a chart or table somewhere that lists the radio frequencies that are compatible between all modules and AI assets such as airfields, JTAC, AWACs, etc? I find that some aircraft can't tune certain radio bands, or some lack a certain modulation type altogether. Rather than digging into *all* the manuals and then testing that against what the AI can tune, is there an existing document somewhere that can help with this? What do the big multiplayer servers do that allow all the modules to be flown?
  5. I can confirm that this resolves the missing textures issue (EO sensor, etc...) that was reported recently.
  6. I can confirm this. With the stock Russian cockpit, the EOS and other textures on the outside of the cockpit (when viewed from within) are correct, but with the English cockpit mod the EOS and sides of the aircraft have the black/yellow "missing texture" colors.
  7. For the KC-130, this can conceivably be done using the Moose framework AATACAN. For what it's worth, I tried this myself and had some problems with the Moose TACAN possibly interfering with other TACANs in the game, even though they were set up on different frequencies.
  8. The Predator JTAC that spawns over the mountains west of Vegas for the A2G Easy Mission is at too low of an altitude, and eventually will get stuck in the mountains. I changed the Predator altitude from around 7k feet to 13k feet, which seems to resolve the problem and targets are lased as expected.
  9. Would a Station 2 Pushbutton <-> Station 3 Pushbutton toggle make any sense for switching between A2G weapons? I heard somewhere that this aircraft only supports two A2G weapons loaded at one time, and since stations 1-7 are generally for Sidewinders which have their own dedicated bind, a toggle between stations 2-6 and 3-5 could possibly make attack runs with multiple weapons easier. I'm currently using the china hat on my TM Warthog to switch between these stations, but it would be cool to get it down to a single button, and then the china hat could be used for something else.
  10. I'm interested in hosting this mission on a password-protected co-op server. I'd like to make some small edits to the mission for this - specifically increasing the unit count for friendly player aircraft from one to two or more so that co-op players can fly the same aircraft if they'd like. I'd tried this out with the mission editor, but there is something strange going on with the coalitions and the aircraft they have availble. For instance, if I try to increase the [CAP] MiG-29A group from one unit to two, the unit type is not MiG-29A but instead, F-15C. I presume this may be due to the fact that my mission editor won't allow the USA to operate the MiG-29A. Are you using a mission editor mod that removes this restriction or something like that? Edit: I've modified my C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Scripts\Database\db_countries.lua to resolve the issue: local units = country:get("USA").Units <snippy> cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "Mirage 2000-5"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "Su-27"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "Su-33"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "MiG-29A"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "MiG-29S"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "Su-25"); cnt_unit( units.Planes.Plane, "Su-25T");
  11. For the TM Warthog users out there, if you'd prefer not to modify default.lua (which can be overwritten by updates), you can copy the existing default.lua file to Throttle - HOTAS Warthog.lua and then add your changes for the three-position switches. This file should not be modified by updates unless RAZBAM adds that file in a future update.
  12. Is it possible to install this mod to the Saved Games folder as described here? I was able to get it partially installed by copying the Liveries folder here: C:\Users\me\Saved Games\DCS\Liveries\AJS37cockpit With this, the text in the cockpit is in English, but I'm missing the Cockpit and Textures directories from the zip file, and I can't quite work out where they would exist within the Saved Games directory. I'm not sure what I'm missing out on without having those two extra directories.
