  1. I tried different viewers, no change. I compared the tutorial export .edm file with my exported-from-tutorial-max-model file, and they pretty different. So I asume it has to do with the Exporter or EDModeler tool. But I have no clue what that might be or where to start looking.
  2. i have applied a simple texture (an image with gray color) on the diffuse channel. All other channels are set to zero. shader basic params is checked for two sided. assigned to object. then hit make cool. then export. am I missing anything?
  3. just tried, no change...it was not two sided, now it is checked. but nothing in the viewer. thx for the fast reply, razor+r
  4. Hi there, sorry if this must be a dumb question - but I installed 3dsmax 2014 student today, working fine. I installed the recommended stable EDMtools 115338 and the EDMViewer. The tools come up fine in 3dsmax, also the make cool comes up with the appropriate dialog in ME, and exporting seems to work since a file is built with 53k for two smple balls. I try to do the same as in Damiens video tutorial I downloaded the files, the all are ok in max as well as in my EDM Viewer. But I no way get the exporter match the Viewer - any exported model produces a file, but is not shown in the Viewer. Alway no objects, no vertices, nothing visible. If you can, please help me here....I have no further ideas. Many thx in advance!
  5. Tanks for the fast reply - it was my fault ... I set it up in another mission as a vesselgroup because I could not find it in structures. There it behaves like a vessel, however, with movement according to wind speed, even if no enginespeed through water, exactly like your screen shot. I checked with your mission now and there it is steady, when - as you did - included as a structure object. So - solved. Great mission, thanks again!
  6. Is the Oil Rig intended to move like a ship? As far as I know these things should be rock steady especially when they are drill rigs. Or do I see this only on my setup? Would be great if there is a way to change to steady state (I have 5 m/s wind for easier hovering).
  7. Thanks a lot - and to all the Mod designers making the parts for this - I have been hoping quite whlie something such SAR missions will come out at some point. I am a real fan of the civil missions approach in DCS - especially with the Huey and later maybe the BO 105. Thanks man for all the work!
  8. Well, the best I could think of is the option of true multiplayer-gaming: 2 ord more aircrafts with 2pilot cockpits. We did this back in the years of good old Longbow - why do the developers do not think into this direction? It is a completely new feeling sharing a machine with two players and doing coordinated operations...think about it. Apache would be the ideal machine for it.
  9. Since this is a new thread, I like to bring up another question right in the beginning: Is there any chance to setup a Lockon or DCS setup in order to seperate the cockpit view (thought of as the "normal" game view with either cockpit, or Alt F1 HUD only, or various camera views) on the main monitor, in addition to another monitor (or projection display, for example) showing the HUD view only - even without the HUD display? This is the way modern simulator cockpits are setup, and would allow an immersive game play but without switching the immersive screen all the times, since the "out of the window view" would stay alive all time. Possibly, this can only be achieved through a second PC, multiplayer mode and dedicated camera view, but still I do not find a camera position/view setup then which displays the correct roll and pitch movement with moving horizont rather than moving camera. Understandable what I am talking about? However, it may well be this is probably already discussed years ago, so I am sorry if I bring it up again - maybe in that case someone has a hint for the right thread to look at.
