  1. Hey, Sorry guys... I am not much in the "DCS modding Scene" I have several projects "on hold" for too much time already (almost a year...), the Tug Boat, Mi-8 dusty livery template... Hope I do finish them, but who knows... I guess I did loose the hype at some point :(, also I do not have those huge amounts of spare time as when I was unemployed. I think if right now I would like to do even a simple static object, I would be runnig through my example files again and even watching my own videos in Youtube about the topic.... Long time with no practice makes me forget things too fast I imagine :(. Best and BIG THANK YOU to support each other with the topic !!!
  2. Hi, Now that I have started to enjoy VR in DCS, it is really shocking how different it feels to fly this bird compared to any other, for example, from the flaming clifts "family", can not be compared to MiG-29 at all... Graphically It has aged really bad IMO. A part from it´s unfixed exterior model mesh cliping inside cockpit problem... (6 years... with no fix already) : https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/124853-reportedsu-25a-missing-texture/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-4691215 Please ED, some love for Su-25A after all these years??? Any info/plans for Su-25A from the Devs? Thank you
  3. Hi, After latest "sad" events in Afghanistan... I think that the idea and purpose of getting this map in DCS... got even more "context" some how?
  4. Well... It has been 6 years already since it was reported... Any update on this?
  5. Hey javelina1, Sure, with that piece of hardware, things start to look a lot more handy and immersive. I have a very "modest" rig: VKB Gladiator MK2 joy, VKB pedals and the Track IR... By now, my "nomad" life style does not allow me to go into nice rigs, dedicated chairs or cockpits. Still, if at some point, I could settle down somewhere... Would not care about getting that "Mikhail" :]. Happy to see you enjoy the mods. I am also, like many others, looking forward to the Afghanistan map, for a long time. Some of my favorite birds; Mi-8 and Su-25A (Mi-24P ) would have the hell of a playground there. For what I have seen in the forum, no official news about it for a very long time... Lets hope that this changes asap. Best!
  6. Yea, VKB's are not everybody's cup of tea. But never tried anything else, so can not compare.
  7. Nice one! Helos with no rudders are definitely a nightmare to control . I got VKB T-Rudder MKIV, (helo type ruder/pedals) years ago, and also very happy with them. Best
  8. Hi Razorback, https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2083710/ This one I guess. :]
  9. Hi TabascO, About this one. You could download one of my missions and take a look to how it is done there inside mission editor. To be honest I do not remember very well how I did it..., that is why I point to the mission it self. Let me know if you manage. It is really neat when the troops go to certain place after you deploy them :]. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304388/ Best
  10. Hey Eduardo! You finally bought it ! Trust me, you are not gonna regret. Good to know that you are enjoying the stuff. Actual weathering is a bit overdone... but at some point, and update will come . Cheers!
  11. Hi guys, I read also, time ago, that they "lost" it or so... Now after the announcement that MAC (I think that is the name) is coming this year, I imagine/hope... they will update before releasing it. Would be good, in any case, to have an official answer about this topic.
  12. Really neat mod Tobi. Thank you !! :]
  13. Hi YSIAD_RIP, thanks for the kind words. Happy to see that all works as intended by your side. Enjoy the holidays and take care :].
  14. Hey BIGNEWY! Any news about when/if this is gonna be fixed? Do we have to wait some few years more to get this cockpit look, at least, correct? Or... is there any big "secret" update planned for the Su-25 that could, somehow, justify that this awful problem is not fixed yet? This is no free content guys . Thank you
  15. Hi YSIAD_RIP, First, IMO you have bought the best ED module to the date, so congrats :]. About your question, I do thank 104th_Fallen and T. Nark of UnOfficial RoughMet patch because thanks to them I realized that I could use PBR in the Mi-8, but I am not including any of their files or any modification of them in my patch and my PBR and theirs does not look similar at all, at least they were not similar by the time I released mine. Best way to check is to take a look if camo paint scratches and reflections match, orbiting around the model with some side sun lighting. Also, weapons should look more metallic, tires should have a more natural look and rotor blades should look more metallic. (Maybe, you did not install this stuff right?) In any case, my patch needs some updates, and the skins also... But it has been around 8 months that the project is on hold. I am not working on it right now, but there are several issues to fix, the mayor one is that the interior/cargo area (AO map) was black and looking awful, did not notice this until it was too late. Also I am trying to smooth most of the texture UV island seams so the textures looks better, along with some dust weathering reduction that it is a bit overdone. By the way, since some ED DCS updates, the Mi-8 does not read the AO map from the PBR texture, but I fixed already thanks to EightBall :], who found the way around. I am cleaning my PSD files also too, hopefully, share them as a template whenever I finish my work on the new PBR patch and Mi-8 Afghan Liveries. However, this seems to be quite long term thing. I am going to start working again soon in a new job and I won't have time to do much . Work sucks, right? *Here is how the updates looks until now, in my poor laptop... Hopefully, new computer "arrives" this upcoming year and gives me some boost to finish all this stuff :]. Take care
