  1. Just rechecked, and AUTHENTICATION needs internet connection. However you can log in for up to 3 days that your authentication is good for if you have no internet. Which makes offline mode pointless really, after 3 days
  2. Thank you for your specificity! (I used the abbreviation "mods" to actually mean "modules" and I think you know that since I stated "paid for".) You are also awesome for finding something in search that I did not! Way to go. Thank you again. I'm just getting back into learning more about DCS even though I have had it a couple years. Life got in the way and had to take care of a dying parent.
  3. I mean, the mods are purchased already and verified. Why is it required to be online/connected to the internet to play something you have paid for? I'm only asking about DCS, not any other company or software. If this has been asked 1001 times before, I did not find it in any searches, so this can be 1002 times asked... Thanks for looking
  4. Talked with "Sleepy". Great start.
  5. Hi. I am located in the USA and am looking for a group to fly with who could help teach me and fly with. I know how to fly some, the bare basics, can take off and land and some aerobatics of course. Weapon systems, not so much. So consider me a pretty raw new person. I am in my 50's. I use only discord for voice. Maps: I currently have only the Caucus map, but am very interested in the Syria map and will be getting that soon. Planes I have that like to fly or have an interest in flying: F15C, A-10A and A-10C, and sometimes but not often the SU-25 interests me. Planes (and maybe a helicopter) on my wish list which I may be getting soon. F14, F/A 18, P-51, Spitfire, and then the Huey. My internet connection is pretty good for latency for US (40 to 70). However the bandwidth down and up are a bit low. 16mbps down and .6 mbps up
  6. Thank you for the welcome. So let me get this straight. One of the best things I liked about DCS and paid for no longer functions, and there is nothing definitely in the works to fix it? Saving trk's is one of the main ways youtubers make video's, hence free advertising for DCS. Go figure. This makes as much sense as putting a wind farm in hurricane country, or building nuclear reactors on fault lines....oh wait.. Strange that this thread has a - for views or comments also.
  7. How do I record a trk for later playback in 2.5? I have scoured the menu's and have searched online, but the only results I find are mentions of tacview, which I do not care to get or use at this time. I do recall when I used 1.5 that after each flight there was an option to save the trk file. How do I get that option back, to save and view a trk in DCS? Also, (different topic) it is annoying that I have to be connected to the internet to load the "modules" I paid for, should I want to fly offline. DRM has gotten a little overboard in many areas these days.
