I'll add my reason for buying the Viper.... I wanted to support ED financially for all their great work and dedication to my favorite hobby. I also knew that I would be buying the Viper at some point anyway so I pulled the trigger early access and very happy that I did. I think that when you look at all the available modules there is plenty of great flying to be enjoyed at different states of completeness and the Viper certainly has it's spot as well as the FA-18. Enjoy!

Fyi, in order to fix my issue with the Warthog and TM TPR pedals I had to relocate the TPR USB to a different USB Port and everything now works... good luck with your issues!

Hi, I'm thinking of uninstalling and then reinstalling DCS in hopes that my 3 Thrustmaster controllers will work in F-16. I've tried doing a repair, unplugging the controllers and checking all my DCS settings.... no joy! The F-18 works fine so DCS is seeing my controllers at some point. My question, do I need to deactivater/ activate all my modules or will it carry over since there will be No hardware changes? Thanks in advance for your response!

I tried these suggestions including unplugging my 3 Warthog controls, doing a repair and rebooting. For some reason I've yet to identify, I get very little joystick response in the F-16 module and the engine actually shuts down whereas everything works in the FA-18 including the TPR rudder pedals. I'm considering a re-install of DCS Open Beta after the next update if the issue is not rectified... it's a bummer not being able to flying the F-16! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

This is a one time purchase that will likely last for many years...... I pulled the trigger on Amazon and even went as far as to order the TRP rudders which are on the way..boy am I in trouble! :megalol: I realize it's a large investment but the quality and the modeling of the actual stick really helps with the F-18 sim immersion.

It's great to read about people with the same interest, experiences and history with flight sims..... This DCS F/A-18 is like a Birthday gift that just keeps on giving! I've managed a couple of case III traps but am amazed that no matter how many case I traps I make, I still screw up and have bolters.... kinda reminds me of playing golf!

Have you tried using the Repair tool under Eagle Dynamics in the Start Menu? I'm not on my PC so I may be using questionable names but the repair tool has worked for me in the past....

I wonder, is there a way to save your setup in the options window? I don't remember seeing one..... I'll likely update anyway

Hi All, I recently bought a Wheel Stand Pro Super Warthog and am very happy with it. I'm wondering though, has anyone modified it so the Warthog stick is mounted to a small base versus the large plate? It seems that it would be so much easier when using the center mount..... I'm thinking of fabricating something with plywood to reduce the size..... any thoughts? Thanks, Doug

Not that this helps....... but I jumped on this Module as soon as the sale went live....... It'll take quite awhile to learn this and the F/A-18 so it really doesn't matter that it's incomplete right now..... I've had just one flight so far and the cockpit was awesome! I say go for it!

I updated my 2.5 Beta install on 6/20 and can no longer get into the Nevada map. I check my installed Terrains and it is there with the serial number but will not run, just sits on the load screen...... I've tried repairing the install a couple of times and also tried to get to the map in the F/A-18 and A10-C with no luck. I'm assuming the recent update created an issue but would appreciate advice if that is not the case. Thanks

I updated my install today and now I can't use the Nevada Test Range. I just get a small DCS screen and when I hit the Windows key it looks like DCS is trying to verify the key but nothing happens. So far I've repaired the install twice, verified my licenses are good and tried running the updater again. So far I've tried Instant Action in the F/A-18 and the A-10 with the same result. I'll add a note for what the locking load screen says if needed. Thanks

I've become very familiar with the guys in the heli as my recovery ends in an expensive bath! You haven't lived until you go boating in an F/A-18......
