  1. Going to go out on a limb and say this one will never see the light of day. The developers took too long and now the market for it has completely evaporated. Another, unnamed developer is diving into modern aircraft, capable of being flown in PvP or PvE. Had it been released on time, there was a chance to make headway. And it’s a shame because I don’t have the time to devote to learning anything as complicated as DCS World. I have a job and a family that I like to spend time with. MAC was aimed directly as people like me, so I’m disappointed it never happened. The developers will be better off focusing on their high-fidelity DCS products and scrapping this one.
  2. The original release trailer stated that KB/M was going to be included as a control scheme. Says so in the video at about 1:40. So, perhaps you will get your wish.
  3. I don't think anyone is asking for a complete rundown on the project, but some sort of update might be nice. Perhaps it'll be after the AH-64's release.
  4. The truth is, nobody really knows. I would imagine COVID probably slowed a few things down for them, but it’s largely radio silence. We don’t know if they’ve given up on the project or if they’re just hitting a pause for a couple of years.
  5. I see there's still a lot of discussion on Modern Air Combat. While I am looking forward to seeing it happen, I am not optimistic that it will be this year. It's already June and if there were plans to release it in Q3 of 2021, I think there would be more information forthcoming from the development team. It sounds like the team may have bitten off more than they could legitimately chew or there is significant problems with trying to integrate all of this into one package. I sincerely hope that MAC is still going to happen, but at the moment, things do not look promising.
  6. It’s 2021 and I just thought I’d check in to see if this title was still a thing. Hope to hear something soon.
  7. Agreed. The conflicting reports accompanied by radio silence kind of tells me the developers are not very sure what MAC is supposed to be. Considering how long it has been in development (we are approaching two years) I also agree this is more than just FC3 planes being brought down in complexity. Sure would be nice if we could get an official update on the progress from Wags or anyone else higher up on the food chain. Nobody seems to know what's going on.
  8. I don't think that's where they're going with this. I could be wrong, but I believe they're looking at something that appeals to those of us who enjoyed Jane's USAF, EF2K, etc.
  9. I don't think that's beyond the realm of the possible.
  10. I would love to see that same open door policy to third-party developers be extended to MAC. Bet we could see some pretty interesting things.
  11. Hope the new year is treating the team well. Looking forward to news on progress.
  12. MAC doesn't appear to be marketed toward the bleeding-edge realism the rest of DCS is geared for. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out.
