  1. I spoke too soon.... the red exclamation mark returned and I lost all pitch control... After further testing, it seems that the F-14 is confusing the JOY_X and JOY_Y axes on my Warthog throttle and stick, only producing the error when they are mapped on both devices. I wanted to use the slew controller on the throttle as the DLC axis, but if I set this vertically as JOY_Y it interferes with the pich axis on the stick; and if horizontally as JOY_X, the roll axis. This doesn't happen on other aircraft - eg, the F/A 18, where I use the slew axis as the TDC. Any ideas please Heatblur?
  2. I think I may have fixed it with a clean and repair. That did some strange things to other peripherals (eg, replicating the pitch on my rudders), and deleted a number of button assignments, but once I'd sorted those, it seems to be OK now .... fingers crossed....
  3. Currently, I have exactly the same problem as Quyes noted in his original email, and only with the F-14. The pitch axis has the red exclamation mark, but the Joy_Y axis on the Warthog joystick is not assigned to any other axis which could conceivably relate to the F-14B. I have deleted all profiles and re-entered from scratch. After entry, everything looked OK, but after restarting DCS the problem was right there again. I updated to 2.9 today, but the problem was there on the previous build 2.8 build yesterday Unless someone can help me to fix this problem, it seems that I will never be able to fly the F-14 again - a huge shame, as it's probably my favourite aircraft. Thanks Paul
  4. Hi guys - are the patches posted on a website anywhere? The links to the developer's Discord are coming up as 'invalid' for me. Thanks & BR Paul
  5. I've a 3080Ti, but with only an i7700k, I'm CPU-bound. This helped me get better fps with a Rift S in complex missions...
  6. Many thanks for this tip, Buzzer and Flappie! With an i7700k and a 3080Ti, I am definitely CPU-bound. I was having problems in getting acceptable frame rates in VR with a Rift S on the Through The Inferno Syria SP missions, but using this trick I am now getting a solid 40 fps (previously, it would drop as low as 20...). And it seems to work with 'Client' and not just 'Player' slots, too.
  7. Yes, but I have Trim bound to my trim hat on the Warthog, and the George commands on the same hat, so you can't have the George commands open and re-trim at the same time? Looks like I will need to move one of them!
  8. yes, looks like I'm one of the lucky ones - but I thought it might be helpful to list my specs (where my CPU is no longer considered high end) to aid in the search for the cause of the problem
  9. interesting... I can see no difference in fps when switching from high textures (where I'm getting 35-40 in training missions) to medium. i7700k (o'clocked to 4.8) 3080Ti 32 gigs ram SS at 1.7 (in OTT)
  10. sorry, just noticed your reference to G2! For the Oculus users out there, I'm at 1.7 in Oculus tray tool. i7700k (o'clkd), 3080Ti, Rift S - mostly 40fps in the training missions
  11. Hi Mason, you need to update your DCS to include the latest patch with it in Then, when inside DCS, you can install it like any other module
  12. Yes, Jane's Longbow was a favoutite of mine, too. It's entirely possible that when I crank up the load with with a complex mission (or, flir, perhaps), this thing will run like a pig, If so, I'm sure it will be fixed .....but at the moment in VR... WOW!!!! ... far better frame rates than the Mig-21
  13. I7700k (o'clocked to 4.8) 3080 Ti 32 gigs RAM Rift S SS 1.8 (Tray Tool) Most settings high Just sitting in the taxi training - like a kid in a sweetshop - but damn, the visuals are good!! Getting 35-40 fps - more than enough for me - and the HMD monocle is REALLY cool! Got 3 days to play, with the missus away!
