No, I wrote clearly that there are bugs, but asking for only the target to receive those indications is not the solution for those issues. The solution is properly modeling beamwidth.

As it should, but that's not what is been reported here.

I absolutely should get spiked if I'm flying close-ish to the actual target, and it works pretty well in single player, but in multiplayer, if any allied get spiked by ground/sea based radars, you will be as well, no matter where you are, that's what this thread is about, and such a huge bug being around for 4 years is totally unacceptable

The RWR is not a magic device that can tell you you are the target. If you are within or close enough to one beamwidth, you will get mud and singer indications even if you are not the target.

While newer radars will have a bemawidth of <= 1 degree, some old SAM radars like the Fan Song can have a beamwidth of up to 10 degrees, that is a 5 mile area at 30 nm range, where a whole formation should get a mud/singer indication.

So please document yourselves before asking for the RWR to operate in magic ways that a real one does not. There are two bugs here currently that are not what has been reported:

    1) The area within which players get lock indication is too wide (~90º)

    2) Players who get mud indication don't get launch indication

This is fixed by having DCS model different beamwidth values for different radars, and everyone within a beamwidth should get both lock and launch indications.

Asking for the RWR to magically only get those indications if one is the target is asking for DCS to turn into Ace Combat.

Please read the reports before writing nonsense

Or you are telling me that asking for my rwr not to spike on the ground, in the other side of the map when an allied flight is spiked in the opposite azimith is asking to turn DCS into Ace Combat?

Hi. Your Windows pagefile is much too small (50 MB according to DCS).

Either you manually set it like this, and in that case you need to let Windows handle its size automatically.

Or the drive your pagefile is stored in is full, and in that case you need to clean it up.

It was 50mb-5000Mb, (from troubleshooting an issue with another sim), I'll reset it to auto and see if it fixes it

  4. So for some reason DCS started crashing for me when I go on missinos, usually right when I go into de cockpit or shortly after a couple minutes, what is werid is it USUALLY also crashes chrome and discord and just kind of hard freezes the whole PC, sometimes it recovers, sometimes not, altho there are a few instances of dcs crashing by itself

I'm including the crashlog and dxdiag in hopes someone can help me identify the issue, there are no mods installed, and I tried a full repair

    Windows 11

    Thank you for your help

Perhaps referencing ‘auto’ mode for the pod vs ‘auto’ mode for bomb delivery where the pod would be caged to the bombing pipper?

I don't think so, this section of the manual is on ATFLIR tracking modes

think INR AUTO is the mode the pod would be in when the AUTO track initialisation box is shown. Where it is not actually tracking anything, but it is attempting to acquire an AUTO track so will need to be INR stabilised.

Yes but the manual reads "The ATFLIR enters this mode when the pod is slewed while in AUTO mode.

Then just below it says the TDC cannot be moved in AUTO mode.

    So which one is it?

  7. I got some conflicting info onthe manual in regards to the auto (point track) mode, it references the INR AUTO mode which would in theory allow for slewing the ATFLIR and attemp the point track when done, very useful for quickly capturing another moving target

But, just below that, it informos that you cannot slew the pod in AUTO mode, which is true, so My question is, how do I enter INR AUTO for slewing, since pressing on the TDC will enter the offset mode, or is this a manual error? Thanks

  8. TEW and R1 are both the best campaings I ever flew fro DCS,  specially R1, they are not beginner campaings tho, throught them you will need to make use of all sensors to put all kinds of weapons on target in quickly changing cenarios, I'd recommend you get a good grip on all the systems and delivery methods of weapons first so you can trully enjoy them

i find it very dubious that TDC depress wouldn't at least offer the same functionality, if not slaving sensors altogether

That's what I would expect, I mean it's called "Transmit Designate", the name implies that I can hand-off targets to other jets

My understanding is that the AZ/EL page displays the ID based on data through Link16, whereas the SA page shows the ID determined by NCTR.

I think the all track files in the MSI is suppose to be shown equally on all systems
