  1. I got mine from K51 because it was the cheapest and most comfortable solution for me. I waited like 2-3 weeks and received my order, while most of the virpil stuff had a waiting time of + 4 weeks and more. For me the other 2 are unworthy of my consideration, because of the price gap and i prefer ffb over everything else.
  2. If you have the room you could mount your throttle to the side and reverse the inputs so you have something like a collective, going up and down instead of forward and backward.
  3. They are not tracked in DCS or also in the Tobii software?
  4. Yeah this thing has DCS trailer potential, but you had much more "dramatic" shots in there as the usual DCS trailer/beyond videos. Keep up the good work there are so many incredible immersive shots in there it's fantastic. You could easily do a little movie with a plot like a flight takes off, does a mission and returns back to base.
  5. @Tasky You should try to setup curves for all your axis inputs. When you open the Tune Axis screen in the settings, be sure you have selected the right module in the upper left corner. Select the Axis assignments and set curvature of 25-30% increase or decrease to your liking. But when you look at the at the line and move your joystick you will see 2 little squares moving. One is the input from your joystick and the other one is the output to the module. Just be sure to start with a curvature for x and y axis with the same percentage. And also set one for your rudder axis. It will help with the small movements around the center and should help. Just try out a couple of different numbers and see what you prefer and what helps you with the fine movements of your joystick and rudder pedals. Edit: short video for setting up controls, maybe it will help you also in some way
  6. When i bought the ka-50 before dcs world existed, it was quite a frustrating experience for me. Learning curve was so steep, it felt like i am a tourist in shorts and shirt, with a water bottle and flip flops going to climb mount everest. But a lot of youtube tutorials, reading wikipedia and trial and error took me through my first successful mission and the feeling was just awesome.
  7. I have a ffbeast but also use the beast hardware trim, since i can change how it feels when i push the trim button. In DCS i loose too much force and it's harder for me to control the stick and the trim.
  8. I simply can't stop thinking how much fun and immersion it has to be, when you get hit at 20k feet and spiral down in a 360° motion sim rig, trying to pull the eject handle.
  9. I can't really say, but sergios jetpad/jetseat was the first product i found and i bought mine like 10 years ago. There was nothing else execpt buttkicker or similar products with transducers and those where quite over my budget. I saw that the price increased but i paid for my first one around 200-250 with delivery. Only thing i really can say is that it's quite easy with the newer edition to swap out bad motors or replace broken cables. The shop is broken since the start of the war and the sanctions, but you can email him and ask about anything. He is a really nice guy and he does really quick support if something happens. I had like 3 complete sets but only one working connection cable at some point and wanted to order just a new cable, till sergio told me i should try to reflash the device and all 3 cables are working again.
  10. There is a shop button to order a jetpad. I just said that the software for dcs is free and you need additional software for other sims. Edit: https://simshaker.com/hardware/jetpad/
  11. https://simshaker.com/ software for DCS is free, but a couple other games need the wings or wheels software to function properly. But there are also a couple of other manufacturers out there. You can take a look into the hardware section of the forum for more information.
  12. If you don't have one you should get a jetseat or equivalent of it. That's gonna leap you on another level of immersion. And i still enjoy VR with a much worse setup than you have. Still with minimum settings it's so much more enjoyable than a flight on the screen with more bells and whistles.
  13. I am happy that you are still on your path, no matter how many rocks are in your way. I can send you an msffb2 stick, if you need one to implement ffb at a later stage. Just send me a msg, would be happy to contribute in some way.
  14. Do you mean bergisons g-seat? https://bergisons.simpit.info/motion-integrated-g-seat I think he has also a thread somewhere on here, but haven't looked for it.
  15. Really great concept for a campaign i love it. But when you mention the mission , where you have to bomb Saddams yacht. I can't stop thinking about this.
  16. Maybe you have the new version with the arduino controller board. Mikhail switched to a new board for his latest collectives as far as i know. So probably the solutions i posted are for the older versions.
  17. Hey Oriole! I had a similar problem with my collective and i was able to fix it through this thread. But i have one of the first versions of his collective.
  18. With the active pedals it could be possible to program the software if you push one pedal forward the other could move into the opposite direction. And if you only have space for one simsetup and the money, it's gonna be a great solution to enjoy racing and flying on the same rig. Edit: I would shoot an email to the company who makes the pedals you are interested in and ask them directly.
  19. Had a couple of miles leftover, paid only 36$. Can't complain.
  20. If you go for a second setup and you have a bit of money to spend you should get a FFB stick. It can mimic any flightcontrols you want. If you look for a collective, there is user K51 who builds collectives. He got a own thread in the for sale section He also makes different heads now for his collective but you have to go through the thread since i bought mine in 21. But it's a really good product sofar and i only paid like 250€ with shipping.
  21. You could backup everything that's "suspicious" to you, like folders and stuff you don't really know what they are for on an external drive. Delete everything suspicous and see if you can free up some space. If things start to fall apart you could use the backup from the external drive and put it back to onedrive. The whole user folder structure with saved games and documents and so on is going south the more stuff you install and uninstall. Because not every uninstall gets rid of all the files in the user folder.
  22. I also can't fathom anyone needing a tourist guide when they go on vacation and it's still a very lucrative business. Also there is a big difference in how you learn for yourself through videos or being instructed by an experienced/professional person. I can take off and land almost every module i have, but i am quite sure i am not doing the proper landing procedures. Every new module i buy, i set up the controls go for a free flight and try to land it. Everybody has a different approach how they enjoy their install of DCS. I am going to read further instructions on how to setup weapons/navigation/... as i progress through campaigns or missions and i start to fail at some point. And the more i get into a module the more i learn and read about it. Till i am at the point where i know how to cold start it. But why should i waste time on cold start procedures when i can hit autostart and get things going, its a game in the end and i can restart anytime. Whatever floats your boat, i have never done a checklist startup ever and i lost a couple of canopies on the runway.
  23. This whole thing with veterans teaching beginners could work, if ED would implement an official service for it through their website and new players have an easy access to the service. Click on a link, fill out a form, wait for the response of an instructor to get your training lessons going. They could add a L39 without the weapon systems for free probably for exactly that purpose. The entry barrier is a completely different thing in my eyes, because it's still a lot of work to setup everything and if you don't have a lot of experience with setting up games and controls, everything is overwhelming.
  24. From my experience it depends if the actual switch, like in your state the dispensers switch, is pressed all the time, or if there is just a little impulse, when you switch it in position. If the button is permanently pressed, it should return the correct state in the cockpit. At least that is my experience so far with DCS and my buttonbox.
  25. You could use it as an axis to controll the target designator. But i would use the button to add another modifier and double my buttons on the stick, like alt, ctrl and shift ist used. Or you could use it as a zoom axis to zoom in and out. You will always return to your normal flying position, as long as you fly on a monitor and not in VR.
