  1. Sorry couldn't resist! I feel sorry for you wish you all the best!
  2. Don't worry mi-24p should be inbound in Q1 2021. :D Another suggestion on my side is try older airframes which are not fly by wire. If maybe ED does a freeweek or even freemonth again to try out some modules, hop into the f14, f86, mig-15, mig-21, f5, viggen and the warbirds, those are all modules where you really have to get up close to your target. Except for the aim-54 in the cat i mean that should be obvious :D I don't know but a successful hit with a dumb bomb and an historic aiming device gets me way more satisfaction than a quadruple release of weapons where i don't even have to maneuver the plane at all. Because FC dates back way before the ka50. Everything after the ka50 were full fidelity modules, they just made lomac compatible with dcsworld. At the beginning you could only fly FC, or Ka50 or A10c in multiplayer, at a later stage in development ED created DCS and merged them all together. They are going to do MAC and seperate it from DCS because MAC is gonna be like all FC modules. Maybe they add the choppers also in there i don't know there hasn't been much information for MAC where the last info was that it would release somewhere last year and than it got postponed because they wanna release a AAA title and need more polishing.
  3. My last information about the production order was like f18, f16, mi24, ah-1 and than the phantom. I think they are using the 2 helos as a testbed for the Ai-copilot of things so they have a proper structure before they are going to do the rio in the f4. But its just an assumption on my side. I think after the F4 and Eds own ai-rio there are alot of opportunities for a lot of 2 seater modules. Even for 3rd parties if they are allowed to use EDs ai to be implemented and changed for their projects. Damn i really want that f4 :D
  4. Sorry but english is not my first language but i haven't said anything negative about it except that spring loaded gimbals are more precise because the force doesn't change.
  5. If you look for immersion get a forcefeedback stick it's harder to be precise with it because the stick moves on its own. If you ever tried a racing simulation with forcefeedback wheel imagine playing the same game without it. It really is the same for flight sims. Just a couple of examples. If you fly a helicopter and you trim your stick it will physically stay there. Same goes for fixed wing modules, if i trim my stick it moves with the ingame stick and stays at position. Another one is that you can feel it in the stick if you loose a control surface in ww2 warbirds or feel the stick deflection limiter in the f5. It's also quite immersive if you get shot up in a warbird and everything starts to shake in the cockpit and also your stick rattles.
  6. Yeah you are right the stick would get heavier the faster you are. But if you move the real stick in the plane for 2-3mm around in the center it wouldn't be the same force you have to overcome as you would move the stick 5-7cm around. That's why iam using a deadzone of 5 and a curve of +15 so the zero feedback zone in the middle is dead. As soon as i feel resistance i know i am in the controllable area of the stick. I also found another ffb2 which i try to get my hands on and 2 older ffb pro models. If i get all of them i have enough parts to maybe do my own ffb stick with extension and grip :)
  7. I was flying on the server with the new DM and as usual i got shot up pretty bad, the dash in my 109 was shaking so bad i had the feeling it would bail out before i do and my stick was shaking like mc hammer on meth. Immersion beats precision on my scale. And for the lack of forces in the middle i set a deadzone of 5 for everyplane, because every machine i handled in real life has a bit of clearance before something actually happens, some have more others less thats what i try to simulate with the 5% deadzone in the middle. I'm not a pilot nor did i have the chance so far to get in a real cockpit, but i believe there is some kind of clearance. There is also the point that all simulated sticks and cyclics are simulated to real life stick travel. So if you don't use an extension as close as possible to the real life counterpart, it doesn't make sense for me if you don't use a curve to flatten and dampen your input. I am trying to get another msffb to mod a better stick to it, because i am to afraid to break mine in some way and than i have to go back to a dead stick :D
  8. Yes it does, but for the MS FFB2 you have to swap the ffb axis but else there is native ffb support with most modules.
  9. I have to say i don't know for sure, it was 2-3 years ago when i messed around with it. BUT i still have a user made campaign in my m-2000 folder there since 2018 and i believe i have at least done one repair in 2 years. :) Updates don't do anything to the campaign so far, except if you have downloaded updated campaigns from maddoc-ic from the userfiles and overwrite the original campaign files. I believe they get updated when ED fix those missions themselves. Another idea to sort your campaigns in the my campaigns icon would be that you edit every .cmp file from every campaign you have and give it a suitable naming. Module-Campaign title whatever but its a bit of a task because you have to edit every .cmp file and change the name there.
  10. The module icons on the left point directly into the module mission folder, so if you want to sort your campaigns through the icons you have to place the downloaded missions and campaigns directly into the specified module folder. The My Campaigns icon just lists everything you downloaded into the saved games folder. I created a folder for every campaign which starts with the module title and then the campaign name as a workaround. Just a tip if you download some updated original campaigns from MadDog-IC put it in the My Campaigns folder because if you put it in the module folder you have 2 identical campaign names and can't really figure out which ones the updated one. ;)
  11. For rearming and refueling you need to contact the ground crew and not the ATC. ATC is only for startup, taxi, takeoff, landing and getting directions to the requested airfield. Super Carrier has more ATC options and ED said they are going to overhaul the whole system for communication.
  12. @cpt cuckoo: Why don't you just use the aruco marker? It's a printed piece of paper and it works with every webcam. Only thing you need is opentrack software. https://github.com/opentrack/opentrack/wiki/Aruco-tracker
  13. Yes! I am in for a full fidelity su-25a! There are those magic years from the mid 60s to mid 90s where everything was more interesting in aviation and motor racing.
  14. Make it a server option as everything else so if you fly daily on a given server, your fatigue gets better till some cap and if somebody only flies twice a week he got the handicap. With that option the different communities can decide which route they go. It wouldn't make much sense to force it on everybody, if you only do 2hrs a week dogfighting while other squadrons fly daily 3hr sorties.
  15. Please keep us informed. I'm thinking since a couple of months to upgrade my stick on the msffb2, but i have to get a second one before i make an attempt in case i break something. I cannot go back to a dead stick. If you can manage to keep the costs below 1k i will start saving for one.
  16. Unplug your controller or deactivate the usb device in the device manager. I have to unplug or deactivate every controller for any game that runs on unity engine just to be able to play the damn game with the gamepad. If it's to much trouble to unplug that thing everytime, invest in a proper controller with a driver. There are enough people using dcs with a gamepad in some way.
  17. Aruco Marker and Opentrack software.
  18. I already stole the A10C with combined arms on an amazon deal for 15 euro! Seems like i am setting sail on a 10euro upgrade! :D

  20. Currently i am using a Delanclip Fusion, wireless with a ps3 eye cam bought also pre modified and it works like a charm with opentrack. I also had a trackhat wireless clip but the battery is much better on the delanclip. I also used a 3dof edtracker wireless but it didn't worked that well in my case.
  21. My personal 2 cents: There were a lot of mistakes made which are all about communication. Nobody knew that the module get a rewrite with a different texture file, which is really great if it performs as described. Then the whole thing gets out of early access a week before the new patch drops without an announcement at all. And my personal biggest disappointment is the fact, that there is no sorry at all. I'm maybe a bit oldschool, but i like to here a sorry if somebody ****s something up and if an adult is not able to say sorry, for a mistake he made, i'm simply done with that person. No honesty no trust. I am happy if the 3 modules i bought get better over time, but i will not buy anything till there are a lot of praising threads and good reviews about a new module out of EA. @Nineline and Bignewy: You 2 guys do a really fantastic job in these forums! I appreciate your work and effort to keep the ship sailing! Thank you guys you are great!
  22. Another thing to add from my point of view at the harrier and mig19 is the lack of ffb. I know we ffb users are a minority, but why is it possible that the mb339 and the community a4 have it implemented without a sdk and razbam is not able to do it, while every other module i purchased has it implemented?
  23. from wikipedia: The Igla–1M missile consists of a Ground Power Supply Source (GPSS), Launching Tube, Launching Mechanism & Missile (9M313–1). The wiring is already at the pylons so no need for an extra wire directly to the igla itself. And its an igla, i mean except for the missile itself and the ir seeker and all that technology in the missile itself, its not much different to an s8.
  24. I used 4 different headtrackers sofar, my first one was a diy solution with a normal webcam which didn't worked that well. Then i bought an edtracker (http://edtracker.org.uk/) which was the wireless version but i had a lot of interference with the signal and to many wlan signals around my place. After that i went for a trackhat (https://www.trackhat.org/), also the wireless solution which served me quite some time but the battery was a bit of a let down which lasted on my device only 3-3,5 hours. Then i went for the delanclip fusion (https://delanengineering.com/) which is sofar the best device i bought. So my recommendation is buy a complete package of the delanclip / delanclip fusion (for wireless). For me its the best bang for buck and still a lot cheaper than track ir. I just saw pictures of the tir clips but they don't look like a quality build for that amount of money. If you own a throttle with a minijoystick you could also use that, but if you got used to headtracking there is nothing that comes close to the experience. There are also some solutions where you put your phone on your head and use the gyro sensor so it tracks your headmovement. Or if you own a good webcam you could print a piece of paper with some code on it and use it as a tracking device. Its called Aruco Marker. And than there is also Facetracknoir, which is a program you can use that tracks your face instead of ir lights or a paper marker. Just some ideas ;)
  25. You could tweak the spring on the t-16000 with 2 zipties from a mod i found on youtube. First vid shows the difference, second vid shows how to do it. Did it on mine before i got my old ffb2 going again, even choppers were much better to handle with the softer spring.
