1. Just did a bit of free flight but i wasn't able to get anywhere near a blackout with pulling positive gs in all sorts of maneuvers. While on the other hand there was an instant blackout when i rapidly pulled negative gs.
2. This gentleman seems able to build all sorts of different throttles and boxes. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=145129 I i like his creations but haven't got the change to buy one for myself yet.
3. yeah check the slider or else dcs thinks its an regular joystick axis with a center. Maybe try to reassign the axis again.
4. Hello VKB i have a quick question, will the grip work without being attached to the base? I have a ms ffb2 and i wanna mod a different grip to it and it would be the best solution for me if i could plug in the base and use the buttons and encoders as an extra box but would have attached the grip on to my ffb2 with working buttons and without a lot of tinkering.
5. Forcefeedback works for me in every module except the av8b and mig19 from razbam. The fbw modules don't move the stick when you trim but still have ffb and you can feel the plane too. av8b and mig19 feel like a dead centered spring. But trimming with the stick keeping in place works on every module for me which have that function also visually modeled. Even the FC3 planes and some free mods like the mentioned mb339 and a4c. And it doesn't matter if you don't get realistic forces you just have to adapt to the force range of your ffb device.
6. As you already own the l-39 maybe you should get the kursant campaign for it, its basically a training campaign. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/campaigns/l-39_albatros_kursant/
7. You could also program your modifier button on the stick to function like a toggle(on/off) button and still use the ingame modifier solution to bind it. The difference would be that through your joystick software the button is setup as an on/off toggle, so the modifier would be pressed until you press it again. At least its possible with my target software from thrustmaster so i think it should be possible also with the vkb software. When you set the modifier in DCS it doesn't care on which device the button is located. I use my 3 buttons on the twcs throttle as modifiers for the throttle hats and also on buttons and the hat on my ms ffb2 stick. But i have to press 2, 3 or 4 buttons at the same time :)
8. There are default profiles for all your controls when you start the first time. I would recommend you look at chucks guides for the module you wanna fly and use his recommendations on the hotas layout for the chosen module. You can find them here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765
9. I think it will be handled in a similar way like the black shark. Users who already own the module will get a discount on the new upgrade, while new users are only able to buy the new version. The only difference i can see would be that the old model still gets a visual upgrade and is usable if you don't purchase the upgrade to the new module, while in black shark you were kinda forced to buy the upgrade to keep the ka50 playable within dcs world.
10. Just a heads up, if you trim with your software you have to make sure every time you start the aircraft your stick has to be in the same position as the virtual stick. For example on the f14 hot start campaign you start on the catapult ready for take off with the stick trimmed forward.
11. Because all other modules got it, they managed to get it to work on their mirage (i was just a bit confused since i forgot the stick won't trim on fbw aircrafts) and believe it or not ffb is the same as vr, you can't go back to a dead stick. Harrier and mig-19 miss both the trim function of the stick. if you trim both planes you can see the stick move forward and staying in position. while my stick keeps being centered and feeling the same regardless of movements. In other modules it doesn't feel like a simulated centered spring. The m2000c seems totally ok i forgot that the stick doesn't move because it's a fbw jet like the hornet. But harrier and mig-19 are completely lifeless on my end, maybe i have to do a repair/reinstall.
12. So i guess no answer in 3 weeks is also some kind of answer. A shame as i really wanted that 23, seems like i have to rely on user made mods at least those are able to implement ffb right away. Maybe you should put a note into the module description in the shop that there is no ffb support, just to avoid future customers complaining about it.
13. Just an idea maybe it could be a static object (the siren) which plays a sound like a running vehicle but just louder and a siren sound? Like actual aircraft you can hear while waiting on the taxi way for takeoff. Don't know if its possible but you could work with some existing objects to try it out maybe.
14. I also own a ms ffb2 stick and it's awesome with the f14! I don't know how familiar you guys are with racing sims, but a couple of titles have the option to see the ffb output on a bar which changes colour when the maximum ffb has arrived on your wheel. So you turn down the ffb strength till the bar only reaches the maximum on a given level(like hitting a curb or a big bump in the road). This would allow somehow to get a g based ffb stick force. But it must be clear to everybody that the stick would feel pretty sloppy and lifeless around 1g and would only reach 100% when you go for 9-10g turns. This would also work for professional sticks which could achieve a real 1:1 stick force.
15. The jetseat is the cheapest peripheral device with the greatest immersion factor. It's kinda like a cheap motion simulator for a family friendly home, doesn't make much noise and adds an unbelieveable amount of new layers to the game. Best investment i've done sofar.
16. Sounds like you have 2 versions installed but you need only one installation and you can still switch from beta to stable via the updater or skatezillas tool.
17. Hello Team Razbam, as the title already says, will you consider implementing ffb to your modules or will everything work with default center spring? My problem is that i switched back to my ms ffb2 and it is so much more fun with every other module, but i simply cannot enjoy any of yours. Can you please implement a forcefeedback code so that it's at least enjoyable as the fc3 planes? Thank you!
18. Do you get the same low fps on the menu screen? Try to hit alt+enter and see if it improves.
19. Just because the range of the zoom differs from aircraft to aircraft (20°-160°, 24°-156°, 32°-142° - which also gives a different default fov per aircraft and with that a different real zoom level) doesn't mean a fixed fov of lets say 34° is different between modules. If it would be different its because of either a wrong virtual head position or wrong dimensions in the module itself. I am using dot labels for singleplayer since the ai has the advantage to know exactly where u are, all the time.
20. Every memory leak i came across so far was clearly indicated on the taskmanager with using ram without releasing it. Why wouldn't it be shown in taskmanager when you already see which program use how much ram? How else would people find memory leaks?
21. Since most missions run on triggers it doesn't matter how long it takes you to be there you can go easy and slow like iron mike suggested. But the fuel of the wingman will never last until we see an update on the ai itself from ed.
22. If you use an axis for zoom like i do and want consistency along all modules you have to edit one of the view.lua files but i don't remember which one and set a near fov value of 20° and a far fov value of 160° so that your axis will settle in the middle which would be 90°. But those values are different on every module. A lot of FC3 planes are different with those values like with every module. That's why you get a different standard fov for almost every plane and its from 80-96° in some cases. A lot of people simply don't understand the concept of fov and monitors and don't get why fully zoomed in would be the real 1:1 on a lot of setups. If every flightsim wouldn't support a fov zoom function and would just set the real 1:1 fov hardcoded, those people who cry its a binoculars cheat would be the first who complain about not being able to see 3 instruments at once on their monitor and they would have to buy a 100" screen where they sit 1m away from to get the full perspective. And iam not for model enlargement but for some kind of consistency between resolutions for everybody. Right now i cannot go to a 4k resolution because i cannot see that pixel, which is there on 1080p. There should be something that this pixel and everything else looks the same on the same fov and different resolutions. I don't know much about those things but 1 pixel in 1080p is certainly larger than 1 pixel in 4k.
23. As the title says, when i try to filter the server list with the maps tab i get an empty server list, as soon as i filter something else its back. Not a gamebreaker but i'll report it just in case.
24. Yeah and the 3rd party mission and campaign developers do all their work with voice overs and mission briefings just to prepare "those few" singleplayer people for multiplayer. Why isn't then any campaign out there where half of your squadron takes off without a canopy from the runway, stalling their plane half way to the objective while shooting friendlies and killing themselves just to respawn and repeat? I am also somebody who has much more hours offline than online. I would have to guess but alone with the ka50 since 2009 i would say easy around 2500 hours(with the same campaigns and missions) against maybe 200 online hours in the last 4-5 years. Multiplayer is fun as long as there are enough other players who take it serious, but it becomes madness as soon as you realize you are surrounded by lunatics. Also if you look at the user files section there are 1364 singleplayer missions, 274 campaigns and only 654 multiplayer missions. I don't know but it seems that there is a huge demand for singleplayer stuff.
25. Here you can take a look at some graphs from the steam edition. But you see everyone who plays/played dcs world on steam. It doesn't say if those people bought a module or just fired dcs world up a single time and didn't even fly a mission. Interesting enough for speculations is the fact that around 1000 people are playing on an average daily basis while around 140 000 people are following dcs world via steam for news. https://steamdb.info/app/223750/graphs/
