  1. I guess we're waiting for a January update still ? Just tried it, and Wolf1 "landed" at the Power Station, however not really, he hovered completely static 3 feet above ground, see attached screenie. Edit: I'm on OpenBeta 2.9.2.49940
  2. I just finished it too, and what a ride! Thank you very much for making it, outstanding job. And yeah, that final ride-along mission really hit home. I've been on that Herc ride back from some less desirable places, and it brought back some old memories for sure!
  3. As you said in one of the other threads concerning this bug, they will eventually take off. I sat for a good while in time acceleration, while Lead drifted around the entire apron. Miraculously he didnt collide with anything, and suddenly he jumped off. After catching up with him, the rest of the mission worked flawlessly I'm happy to report, although I did get a bit of extra ventilation in the cockpit.
  4. DCS 2.9.0.47168 (Hotfix 1) When starting Mission 3, I get to where I press space to report ready, and Chalk 1 says "Lifting in 5 sec." He does indeed lift, but then he just stays there, hovering at 10 ft, slowly drifting around on the apron. I flew around watching him for a couple of minutes, then I proceeded to followed the flightplan, leaving him behind, but nothing happens.. I tried restarting the mission twice, to make sure it was not a fluke, but no luck. I had one go at the mission, back in 2.8, where it worked fine (though my piloting was lacking) so I suspect 2.9 borked something ? Edit: Spotted the Bug section after I made this post, can see its already reported.
  5. Giving this a bump. again... Those baked reflections really look awfull in VR and are anything but immersive! Please do make it an option on all modules, the F-18 is perfect in that regard. Currently flying the Kursant campaign, and the L-39 reflections strikes me as particular bad looking in VR! Really, those baked reflections reminds me most of all, of museum planes that have been stuck in the sun for decades, standing there all sad and with milky white opaque canopies.
  6. Hi, just got it setup, and everything seems to work great (I have no physical tablet though) Only thing, I cant figure out how to import the airfield maps found in "DCS World\Mods\terrains\Caucasus\Kneeboard" for some reason. I use the new directories tab in VRK, and it seems to import just fine, except the images dosen't get resized. As a result I end up with just a small bit, of the top left corner of each map showing on each VRK page? What am I doing wrong here?
  7. Checking in to see if there is any news about this? The baked reflections look really bad and 2D in VR and is pretty immersion breaking to be honest. It just dosen't look real, at all.
  8. Well, have to skip this one... Could be a lot better, and even realistic if it were set to go down a couple of hours before sunset. An aircraft without some sort of nightvision equipment, have no business farting around down low in tight mountain valleys, on a pitch black foggy night! Thats a great reciepe for losing both crew and aircraft.
  9. I looked very hard at the 1080Ti too, however as it is not being made anymore, the few used and up for sale are more expensive than a 2080, around these parts at least. That made it rather easy to choose between 1080Ti and 2080 for me. Regarding headsets, keep in mind Reverb has no IPD adjustment, so best to try before you buy. That was the reason I traded in Rift S for Index.
  10. While not a direct answer to your questions, I went from a plain 1080 to a 2080, also on an i7 7700 albeit a k version clocked at 4.8 ghz. After replacing my Rift S with a Valve Index, I found the 1080 simply couldn't keep up anymore, and going to the 2080 was a marked improvement. Suddenly staying locked at 40 FPS is possible, even when turning up the details a bit. Shadows is still a FPS killer though. Had decided to go for a 2080 Super really, as that is in a pretty sweet spot cost/performance wise, but then I found a cheapish used plain 2080 and just went for that instead, no regrets. The 2080Ti I just find prohibitively expensive..
  11. Uh, Argo 2, that sounds intriguing, a whole new campaign, or a rework of the original? Anyway, I got lucky with Mission 3 the third time around. Everything went without a hitch, the UH-60's rejoined nicely, and even though they got uncomfortable close during my cargo unloading, even that was a success! :pilotfly: So far I'm quite enjoying the campaign.
  12. Having a bear of a time with those UH-60s too. They keep crashing into me when they join up..! Haven't managed to reach the Artillery site yet, before the UH-60s take me out
  13. Regarding the Reverb, it dosen't have adjustable IPD, so if your IPD dosen't fit, theres a pretty good chance of it giving you quite alot of eyestrain! The very reason I sold my Rift S and went for the Index and I'm glad I did. I will probably get the controllers somewhere down the line, but I don't miss them for now.
  14. No you do not, I get by just fine with just the headset and two base stations. And I heard of several people playing with only one base station even. If you run SteamVR beta, the button on the headset it self can be used to click SteamVR menus, or you could use an xBox controller or something like that. Most settings can be set with KB and mouse outside VR anyway, so it's no problem either way.
  15. Giving this one a bump, still bugged..
