How does one obtain this version? I use the Updater link from the Start menu, but it just starts DCS World directly.

Thanks for the replies chaps. Is BS2 a vast improvement over the original BS? Am I as well sticking with BS or is the upgrade really worth the price of admission? I am not overly concerned the graphic appearance/terrain, etc. preferring a solid flight model and systems model first. TIA

Hi, Long time since I been here - is there an upgrade path from Black Shark to Black Shark 2? I actually have two keys (both in my name on my account) for BS, but discovered today BS in not DCSW compatible. Is there an upgrade path, or do I need to shell out another $40 for BS2? Regards, Homer

Hi Groove, I'm an XP SP3 user - Vista will never darken my PC again. There were no *.crash in the temp folder. Hi ZaltysZ, I have several MCP qualifications and had already done the non-Unicode language bit, so no joy there either. I am lucky I have a couple Russian girls living right next door to me. Thankfully their English is infinitely better than my Russian! :), and they helped me translate alot of the interface, etc. I knew I would need to set Russian as the non-Unicode language for all the characters to display correctly. Doing more "troubleshooting", it does indeed seem to be a failure in the file selector to operate correctly, but why...?! In the end I gave up - uninstall/reinstall and everything was working fine again. I guess we'll never really know what the problem was, but I was due to fly online with a squad mate last night and didn't want to miss out, so... Thanks anyway! Homer

Long enough to make a cup of tea and have a cigarette... ten minutes? It was fine until today - click a button mentioned above and we are looking at a second or two at the very most.

I have a problem with the UI - when I click Mission or Track I get the loading screen, but nothing more happens. When I click Editor, the editor opens fine, but when I click File>Load, all the icons grey out and nothing more happens. Any ideas please? I'd hate to have to go through the deactivate/reinstall/reactivate routine, potentially wasting a deactivation!

Hi, New here - been flying the Russian version for a few days and loving every minute of it. Can anyone advise please - after I uncage the Shkval (I hope this is the correct name!) using the O key, can I cage it up again to switch off the video feed? I find it has a massive impact on framerates and I'd like to turn it off when not required. Thanks, Homer
