  1. Hi gizmo, look at this video: At 1:47 JTAC sends the target location via datalink to the player aircraft. At this step, you will have to make the TAD SOI and hit TMS left short. This will clear the "NEW TASKING" message. Then you need to push the OSB labeled "WILCO". This acknowledges that you have received the target data. Now, you will see that a red symbol has appeared on the TAD. You can see it in the video at 2:24 right next to the yellow waypoint symbol. This symbol marks the target location. You need to move your cursor on the TAD over this symbol and hit TMS up short to hook it up. Now, with the TAD still being your SOI, hit TMS up long to make the TAD your SPI. Now, to see your target in TGP, make the TGP your SOI and push CHINA HAT forward long to slave your sensors to your SPI. Now, in the Devils cross missions your target is a moving tank column, so it will most likely have moved away a bit from the location the JTAC gave you so you have to look around a bit with your TGP to find your target. Try searching along the road(s) as the tank column will not move off-road. There are several columns of tanks, IFVs and artillery, which are close to each other so if you have found one column "your" column is most likely not far away. Hope that helps!
  2. Hi, thanks for the answers. Yes, it is an onboard sound chip, but hardware acceleration cannot be disabled in the program you mentioned. As far as I know, Windows 7 provides no hardware acceleration of DirectSound anyway. Unfortunately, this suggestion didn't help either :(. Can anyone recommend a sound card which definitively works with DCS and Win7 x64?
  3. If they don't jettison their stores the amount of G the plane can sustain is limited which can be problematic while evading a SAM.
  4. Hi, while playing a mission, whenever something new happens (for example first launch of a missile, first explosion, retraction of wheels) I experience massive stuttering in the game. If sound is disabled in the options, this problem goes away. Do you have any suggestions what can be done to improve this situation? I have attached the output of dxdiag.exe. DxDiag.txt
  5. What do you intend to do? You cannot block MAC addresses over the internet, they are only used in your local network.
  6. When I try to watch this track via the replay menu, I get the following error: ..\blackshark\modules\me_mission.lua:308: could not open file `./../Temp/tempMission.miz' via a dialog box. If I click OK (which is the only option) DCS:BS crashes to desktop Edit: The reason for the error was that I did not correctly download the file. So please ignore this post, everything is fine :-)

  8. So you must simply contend with the fact that BS models what it's like to be on the receiving end of some serious military procurement f**kup :D
  9. Eagle Dynamics needs to recognize the fact that user specific files are not meant to be saved in the program folder. Windows provides user specific folders exactly for this purpose, so, Eagle Dynamics, please use them!
  10. Radar It's not about the simulation of the interface in the cockpit, the problem with regard to the radar is the simulation of the electromagnetic waves, i.e. how to calculate which objects your radar can see. Falcon4, at least to my knowledge, basically uses tables with information at which range which airplane can be detected. But of course reality is much more complex.
  11. BlackShark is unfriendly to limited user accounts Hello, I really like this simulation but I have one complaint. I'm using my Windows XP copy as a limited user (i.e. not with Administrator rights). Therefore, DCS:BlackShark is unable to write in its own Folder under C:\ProgramFiles. I had to manually adjust the permissions of files and folders in the BlackShark folder using ProcessMonitor. This was quite a surprise for me, as all the other recent games I own are programmed in a way so that they create their temporary and user specific files in the C:\Documents and Settings\%user% folder hierarchy and therefore don't need administrator rights. So, EagleDynamics, please consider making your future games limited user account friendly. Thanks
