  1. Hey all, I have followed the process to the line, deleted all FXO and Metashaders2, I am using OVGME to run the Mod and get the nice round image on my monitor as it should be to show the mod has been installed via OVGME. I then jump into a MP server in VR and select an aircraft and as soon as it launches in game, I am sitting in a cockpit with only the outline of the cockpit. All the graphics have disappeared, outside is fine but I cannot see any of the cockpit or aircraft. I have noticed all AI aircraft are also not visible. Their con trails are but the actual airframe is not. Any ideas on what is causing this? I have done a repair etc but it is still doing it.
  2. Hi all, just stumbled across this. I have found the Viper to be very challenging when flying formation and refuelling. Yes I understand the nature of this beast but it was either struggling with input lag, overly sensitive throttle response etc so I reached out to a few friends with the full WH TM Hotas as I also have and they gave me a couple of great curves that have made it so much better. Pitch = -10 Roll = -15 Throttle = 7 It smoothes the handling out so much more.
  3. The HMS when off-target and displaying as a cross-hair has a yellow diagonal line between the cross hairs at the 9 and 6 o'clock positions. its a yellow 45 deg line.
  4. what is the likely timeframe on an Afghanistan Map?
  5. 1) The Standbye AHI goes crazy during flight 2) The fuel pump switches can all be turned off but fuel keeps flowing
  6. Hi all, after the latest round of updates, I cannot get the mod to work. I had it installed and working perfectly until the last 3 weeks worth of updates. Have the last few updates (starting with the F14 addition), been confirmed as a problem with the mod or is it working normally for everyone else?
  7. evening from Australia, does anyone know what the latest TM Throttle and Joystick calibration tool version is and would anyone be able to share it with me please. ive just completed a degrease and clean of both throttle and joystick and they are both way off and need calibrating. i don’t want to use the windows game controller calibration tool.
  8. Hi all, would someone mind pointing me to the Australian group mentioned earlier?
  9. Thanks, the connection as you mentioned is basically what I thought. The cost is high but the experience is second to none which is why I want to share it.
  10. Hi all, this problem has been at times a painful one. This was posted pre update and the latest update created havoc with the F/A 18 key Hotas binds and I had to do them again. Now on another note and post my first post, I was flying multiplayer on one of the servers over the weekend and after over an hour of flying the Gazelle was about to land when the controls just totally froze up again. So not only is this happening off line but online as well. I like the most recent post before I wrote this so my question is, how do we fix it if the PC is registering multiple instances ?
  11. Hi all, I am wanting some advice on how to build an appropriate 2 x VR/ 2 x HOTAS set-up so I can get my daughter into the dual seat planes or helos with me and I can then take her and teach her how to fly in full VR. My current setup at home is 1080ti, i7 8700K, 32 gig DDR4 3200 ram, Rift CV1 and full Warthog HOTAS. Should i simply set up a second standalone PC with a separate DCS account and bring the second pilot in that way? Another question then is how do i bring the second pilot in if I am not using a multiplayer server or is the multiplayer server the only way to multi-crew a dual seat aircraft together? This is going to be a great project so any feedback would be much appreciated.
  12. Hi all, I have noticed a number of times and moreso when I fly the Mirage that some of the key binds on both throttle and joystick randomly stop working for a period of time during longer missions then spring to life again. It's not main axis controls that are effected at all just things like activation of weapons, weapon selection, autopilot engagement, trim, map access etc. All the secondary type functions. My system is fairly high end i7 8700K OC to 4.7, 32G 3200 Ram, 1080Ti, Rift CV1, full Warthog HOTAS bundle so I wouldn't have thought it was a bottleneck in the PC. When the binds stop working I am still able to control main axis inputs as mentioned and after 5 or so minutes the problem normally goes away. Any suggestions? It doesn't stop my playing just an annoyance more than anything.
  13. Thanks all and to Cibit, Is the 2.5.1 stable update available yet? I have looked through the forums and the web and cannot see the Stable 2.5.1 anywhere.
  14. Can 2.5.1 Beta update be installed into 2.5 Stable? Hi all, as per the title or is the best course to wait for the 2.5.1 stable release version to go with 2.5 stable? I am only a couple of months new to DCS so not sure how these updates work. I removed the 2.5 open beta version as soon as the 2.5 stable was released. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  15. Hi all and just to finish off my experience, I also fly the Gazelle and struggled with the very blurred dash. It was also due to very poor dark colours but the suggested fix has also worked to sort this out. The Gazelle’s interior has just come to life after the changes. Crystal clear dials, interior lights and all that you can see in the cockpit is now so much better. I would recommend this fix to anyone wanting crisp sharp visuals in VR. I have even noticed the changes to terrain and weather which are now beautifully clear and crisp. I thought I would share my system if that also helps. ASRock Z370 extreme, i7 8700K, GTX 1080ti extreme edition, 32G Vengeance 3200 Ram, cooler master water cooling, 2x250G Evo 960 SSD with one dedicated to DCS and the other for Windows etc, Windows 10 64bit OS, Oculus Rift CV1 and nothing overclocked, full Warthog throttle and joystick HOTAS. Thanks everyone.
  16. thanks mate, really appreciate your help. followed the steps and its a totally new game. beautiful deep blacks, no Mura and can now night fly properly.
  17. Hi all, I have read countless forums about the green/grey haze that can be seen when night flying in VR. I have certainly got this problem. When I night sortie in the Mirage, it is almost impossible to see the cockpit or outside world. I have read about turning the SPUD folders value to 0 in the Windows registry folders. I have read about turning off Deferred Shading in DCS and I have read that the Nvidia settings may need to be changed. I am aware of night flying problems with 2.5 Stable and that this is being worked on by the team, but is there a current tried and tested way to remove the Mura effect until 2.5 release has managed to sort this out?
  18. Hi all, the green haze when flying night sorties in 2.5 Stable with my Mirage is terrible. Is the disabling of the SPUD as per fitness88 recommendation the proven solution? I have seen "turn of deferred Shading" and also resetting NVidia specs. Can someone say that there is a tried and tested way to remove the MURA from night flights yet?
  19. I am one of those people who can read certain things all day and still get the process wrong (INS) but the minute I do it correctly once, it's locked in for good. Thanks.
  20. Thanks JoJo, I read all the forums, the manual etc and the use of the INS really challenged me. It's not hard but does take some understanding of what to press and when.
  21. Ok, I want to thank everyone who has helped here. I love this game and spent a fortune getting a PC set up so I can enjoy the best immersion possible in full VR with the best of everything. The Mirage is incredible and the Pilot inputs make it very special in my books so thank you RAZBAM for this jet. I have solved my problem, all my issues were due to not having the Lats and Longs set up in Decimal format. The Mirage INS will not let you input anything that is not in Decimal, it simply refuses to accept any inputs that are not in the 00:00.000 format. This is how the Mirage INS is designed to work. For anyone experiencing this very same problem, make sure that you set the map coordinates style to Lat Long Decimal and you will be fine. I just flew 2 sorties, 1 in Causcus and 1 in NTTR and was able to both enter and change all waypoints with no problem. Thanks everyone.

  23. Hi all and thank you for your feedback it’s great. This is what I am doing, Fast Mission Causcus Start up or Instant Action Causcus also has the same problem or even Free Flight. Start up Jet Align INS to static coordinates while going through checklist and using Prep 00 and dials on N, Vei, L/G Start Alignment - Prep shows 00, Dest shows 01, Dials set to N, Aln, L/G, then click Val Alignment complete and Prep showing 00 and Dest showing 01 with current coords displayed. Taxi out and get airborne with dials on N, Nav, L/G Once airborne and in Autopilot, I click Prep, 02 to enter a new waypoint (at this stage there are no waypoints entered and only initial alignment conducted) and it will not let me enter 02 and when I press Prep then 02 it defaults to 01 I again try pressing Prep then 02 to enter a new way-point and 01 comes up every single time. Essentially the INS will not let me enter 02 or 03 or 04 or 05 etc it seems to be stuck on either 00 or 01 only It is as if there is a bug that will not let me put in anything greater than 01 in the Prep step. I have uninstalled DCS 2.5 Stable as well as the Mirage module and re-installed but with no luck, it keeps doing the same thing. Do you guys think I am actually not doing something correctly because I have watched the videos on the Mirages INS setup and way-point set ups and have followed those to the letter with no luck. I am very confident in entering the left and right N/S or E/W coords and the process of doing this but I am only able to do this in the INS training session. Outside the training session, the INS is determined to make me look stupid.
  24. Morning all and thank you for your feedback it’s great. This was a flight last night after this last reply and may explain better, my challenges. Fast Mission Causcus Start up Start up Jet Align INS to static coordinates while going through checklist and using Prep 00 and dials on N, Vei, L/G Start Alignment - Prep shows 00, Dest shows 01, Dials set to N, Aln, L/G, then click Val Alignment complete and Prep showing 00 and Dest showing 01 with current coords displayed. Get airborne with dials on N, Nav, L/G Once in Autopilot, click Prep, 02 to enter a new waypoint and it will not let me enter 02 I again try pressing Prep then 02 to enter a new way-point and 01 comes up with the same coordinates as the startup initialization coords. I then press Prep again and try to re-enter 02 and it goes to 01 In Prep 01 I can enter new coordinates as you both suggested above, and following the required proceedures such as press 1 for left window then 2 for north then INS to enter in new coordinates and repeat for the right window pressing 3 first then 6 for east, enter in those coords and press INS. If i then press Dest 01 to see if the changes held, it displays the initialistion coordinates again. I then try this one more time and Prep actually allows me to enter 02 finally, then I enter a new waypoint L/G's following the correct entry key strokes as per above to then click on Dest to begin navigation to the new location. After I press Dest waypoint 01 comes up with the initialisation coordinates again. It is as if there is a bug that will not let me put in anything greater than 01 in the Prep step. I have uninstalled DCS 2.5 Stable and re-installed it as well as removed the Mirage and reinstalled it but with not changes to this. Do you guys think I am acutally not doing something correctly because I have watched the videos on the Mirages INS setup and waypoint set ups and tried to follow those to the letter with no luck.
  25. Thanks for the reply, so if I start a Fast Mission should I assume there may be preset waypoints already set up so if I try to add say 02, and it’s already auto generated in the mission, then that would prevent me from entering a new 02? I find that when I try to enter a new 02 or 03 or even 04, that when Prep is pressed, I don’t get all the zeros like I’m supposed to but rather the same coordinates as the current waypoint. That being said, this happens even if I finish a training mission and do a bit of free flight before landing, I try and enter some new waypoints just for practice and still can’t enter them. I get no straight zeros in the Lat or Long windows in preparation for me to enter new coordinates, just the current waypoint lat and long.
