  1. I would love to be able to fly 4 engine bomber- either B-17, 24 or 29. Understanding that on combat server it will attract every enemy human pilot seeking big fat satisfying target to shoot down...... so not arguing about short combat life expectancy. 1 bomber can`t do much on its own. 3-4 would need to fly together to make sure that at least 1 reaches the target and drop bombs on enemy base/ town/ industrial district to meet objective of the sortie. On the other side we all know that Aerobatic Servers are one of most popular and most populated most hours of a day, 7 days a week. 4 engine bomber would provide hardcore study flying experience for hardcore enthusiasts. Let`s say 2-5 hours around the map flights. Friends or players could jump into cockpit and could swap every 1 hour at the yoke, while the other one could be flight engineer, or do necessary housekeeping while at the same time enjoying the scenery as a passenger. AI could do the job in case of absence of a human at the particular station. A few days ago I flew as a navigator with another player in Mosquito on Aerobatic Caucasus server. He flew us through valleys and we came up with idea that I would now and then check F-10 view and using ruler providing him with course and distance info towards next base or way point. Then we came with idea of me also keeping an eye on fuel tanks and operate fuel cocks levers. Then he came up with idea that while he will during approach align with runway I could drop landing gear and flaps. So I did......and it was great fun! Between doing bits here and there I enjoyed great scenery and clouds form the seat as we conversated about aviation. He landed us safely and what a feeling of shared achievement and success it was!
  2. Oh, that is actually true. Sometimes I get carried away before thinking twice, haha.
  3. Wow. Did not know that. I don`t want to be rude, but offsetting rudder pedals from pilot was a step too far. Small bits misplaced here and there are ok, lets say. Should I ment to be a long distance pilot and they would ask me to stay slightly twisted to one side for hours...I would say ,,NO,, lol. This makes me appreciate aergonomics of 21st century cars.
  4. Haha, well said. Those trim wheels make no sense whatsoever. Thanks to God that we don`t have to deal with them in real life and can key bind them and operate from the comfort of our keyboards. VSI is another funny one.
  5. Same issue here. Looks like Artificial horizon is just not working correctly and can`t be relied upon. Threre is no option to cage and then uncage it.
  6. We are talking about 2 different things. You fly at low level. I do 2+ hours long distance cruising at 4-8 km altitude in all warbirds depending on their supercharger capabilities , often above first layer of clouds. Gunsight can `t be aligned with horizon up there. In order to keep the plane`s constant speed [ and constant trim settings ], pitching up and down must be eliminated as much as possible. Vertical speed indicator is the most precise gauge to use for the task . Altimeter is not suitable substitude either.
  7. Keep such a smart arse solution to yourself because obviously you haven`t got a clue what you are talking about.
  8. Works on my PC, too. It is just slower, so you need to press the trim button for longer.
  9. I agree. Gunsight blocks the view of the important vertical speed indicator during long distance level flights.
  10. Read flight manual. Engine settings fir different stages of flight are there. 2300 rpm with 33 manifold is not ment for climbing. Clip together turbo and throttle levers.
  11. Hello. Would like to report that I have flown Bf-109 and P-47 in 2.7. Pilot tube freezes resulting in a few key gauges stop working after climbing above 3 000m. Generator switched to ON and pilot heater switch won`t help. Thank you.
  12. Thank you for correction. Never flew it in single player or under special settings so never realised that.
  13. Hi. It looks like 115 litres tank is in manual just in case but has never been implemented in module. On your other question: Yes, A-8`s fuel system is not straightforward even after reading manual....but I figured it out. What we want is to deplete external tank as first, right? that would not happen under default levers and circuits settings. You need to do this: 1. Select FRONT FUEL TANK CLOSED selector lever [second position from top out of 4 ] 2. Keep rear tank pump ON 3. Turn OFF front fuel tank pump 4. Turn ON external tank pump. 5. switch fuel gauge needle for rear tank 6 Take off and fly 7. Once fuel in rear tank will drop from 290L to 240L fuel from external will start to feed it so needle will stay on 240L for long time before the rest of the tank will get depleted. Then turn OFF ext. tank fuel pump and drop the tank if you like...but you don`t have to. 8. Once rear fuel tank is almost depleted, switch front tank pump ON and keep rear pump ON as well. Move fuel selector leaver to topmost position. 9 Now the rest of rear tank will keep getting depleted while front pump will keep pumping from front tank, too. 10. Switch fuel gauge needle for front tank 11. You will keep running on front tank only. You can turn OFF rear tank circuit breaker if you want. I was puzzled as well by fuel transfer system...so dived into it in manual, tested in DCS and found that this approach works. Good Luck!
  14. You need to read Flight manual. It`s all there.
