I don't know about the "best ever..." but my opinion is that it's up there with all the classics; IL2, Falcon4, F18 etc all of which had their strengths and weaknesses.

I think I experienced what you are talking about in a server last night i.e. a severe uncommanded rotation about the yaw axis while in a hover. After a while I decided (probably incorrect) that is was caused by the helo trying to get its nose around to a pre-designated heading or target. I cured it by switching the DH/DT swithch to neutral and then hitting the trim button. The HUD heading caret then aligned itself with my heading direction. That stopped any further rotations. BC

Flew in it the other night and landed on the carrier. Funnily enough the carrier steamed right over the top of a yacht without causing damage. The map a great idea.... BC

Whats the problem with paying for an upgrade if a lot more work has gone into it? The current engine is perfectly OK and that is what we have paid for.... BC

No "hint" required, just download the new input.dll file and TrackIr 2 will work just fine. Now, I have totally forgotten where the link was... Do a search for the file on this forum. BC

Grayhawk Start her up, take off and fly around for a few minutes. You will then be able to use hover without the blue lights / auto hover throwing a fit. I have no clue as to why this happens though. BC

Do you know that the KA50 has five different coloured flares for precisely that reason? They are available on the rear right lower panel. Once the system is powered up you can fire them individually. Great for MP use... (I'm not talking about the flares used for missile decoy). BC

Similar mouse problems have been reported before; I'm sure it's a bug. Bc

Can somebody please summarise the radio channels etc that are required to make data link work when on-line. I flew last night with a freind but we couldn't get the data to transfer between aircraft. I don't require instructions on how to use the data link but how to set it up. Thanks Bob

Hopefully not, It's hard to believe that someone would buy the game, spend hours learning to fly in order to go and shoot up friendlies!! BC

Madmatt I thought it was a dodgy switch on my Hotas at first. After re-mapping another hat it became apparent it was either a bug or the Shkval trying to aquire something that I had alreay designated. Re-caging doesn't always work for me. Suddenly, it just stops for no apparent reason!! Bob

No it's not you, as far as I'm aware there is no manual showing English labels on the switches. However, they are translated (sort of). BC

Madmatt Nice research, under what circumstances will the Shkval tack to a pre-designated position? I didn't realise it would do that and it may explain why it seems to have a mind of its own on occasions. Cheers Bob

Nemises Good observation. Tried it tonight and you can enter tgt points into the PVI800 using the laser which show up on the ABRIS. It's then a matter of sharing the info with others via the datalink. Page 7-5 onwards Takes a bit of work though :) BC

Two separate systems!! good for redundancy but not for humans lol... This sim has really opened my eyes as to the difference in thinking between red & blue. BC
