  1. I have it set to 450km/hr in the editor, works ok. My first attempt ended in a giant fireball falling towards the sea. Oops.
  2. On at least one of the paints in dcs the refueling door is covered in dents and scratches, a nice touch!
  3. The gun. The gun with the fixed PAC system is astonishingly good. Love it.
  4. You can already do this, Press LShift and Windows key + Pause and you will be able to play with the avionics while nothing shoots you down and your aircraft stays where it is in the sky. Quite useful.
  5. I usually just get "oh you're on that stupid airplane game AGAIN".. She just doesn't get it.. She will however sit and play old N64 games for hours on end.
  6. I just had a very similar thing happen.. although I lost half my wing by pulling sharply up at 410 knots. Managed to land, if a little hard.
  7. I have been flying around all over the place, but have only landed once. I have a mission set up with me on a runway and a whole heap of static BMP 3s right next to the airfield. I love watching a guided bomb land right on them.. boom. I really suck with Mavericks though, I can't seem to keep the thing steady enough to slew it into the right place. Will have to figure the AP out. LOVE this thing. Amazing.
  8. So, what next for DCS? James Bond's Aston.. (phwoar) Or... The Starship Enterprise.. As much as everyone wants both of these, <sarcasm>I suspect we may just get an A10c next</sarcasm>.... If I'm lucky I might just understand the KA-50 by the time the A10 is out. I say less polls, more playing BS.
  9. As you see, just click "update game" and it may well work. I had this same problem when I first got BS.
  10. I voted May, if I assume its coming in May i'll have a nicem surprise when its done. I just want to find out what they've done to it...
  11. Oh god I remember that. I thought I was young but when I told some younger relatives of this time when TV turned off at night they laughed at me .
  12. Mine isn't inverted. On a desk, when you can either push it forwards or pull it back I don't think it really matters. I'm used to push for power, so I do that. In a real helicopter, it makes more sense... pull up on the collective and you go up.
  13. 2 words. Sikorsky S-52. I think some nutter test pilot did a loop in one of those back in the early 50's? There are a lot of helicopters that can perform a loop however I personally can think of no reason to use it in combat, but as pfadfinder said, it looks cool as hell and is great at airshows and firepower demo's etc.
  14. http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Image:ArmA2_razor.jpg Guy at the back on the left is clearly saying "OOH LOOK AT MY SHADOW". Looking forward to this, without being too excited. Could so easily be truly awful.
  15. Thats a fabulous piece of software... spent many hours playing around with Vue 6, which does similar things. Those are some nice renders. Its amazing what you can do with fancy software these days, from wide shots like this right down to a bee sitting on a blade of grass... quite something. Edit: Holy cow terragen is cool.
