  1. I have a Cougar with FSSB (I got it for when I used to formation fly virtually) and it works great with Black Shark. Cougar + FSSB is really unbeatable when it comes to precision maneuvers in flight sims because the stick doesn't move, it just reacts to pressure. Downside is, it doesn't work so well with IL-2 and other dogfighting games because the need to yank the stick around is really tough when you have to apply around 8 pounds of force to the stick. For now I'm using the throttle mini-stick as rudders and it's working well. When and if I get the money for Simped pedals, those may be next...
  2. Sounds simple, but did you update the TIR software to the latest version? Because it doesn't show up in controls, I'm pretty sure the game isn't recognizing it. Do you get a blue light on the TIR when the sim starts (not the main menu)? Edit: I may have misunderstood, I think what you said is you DO see TIR under controls, but it's not assigned anything. In that case the game sees that you have it. This is normal. I would still try updating.
  3. The first time I played this I basically flew it like EECH and did a hard descent that sent me spiralling out of control. I then ejected and walked around my bird, inspecting the damage. Nice. As for not descending enough, the video training mission describes it pretty well. As long as your glideslope is correct you should be good, and if you're not sure, a little quick mental math never hurt...
  4. How to use AP/Trim on Final Approach (the real way) I'm wondering how to use the AP function and trim on final approach like a real KA-50 pilot would. I'm now comfortable during normal navigational flight in using all four AP submodes and trimming and using the collective brake accordingly, but on final I either have to hold in the trim button AND the collective brake the whole time because of all the small corrections I have to make, or just turn off AP and use the flight director, which seems like a cop-out. What's the best way to handle this? Use FD? Use AP without ALT HLD?
