  1. Trying to find information about new things in outdated manuals, and then skipping through all the ads in Wags' videos... This is getting painful!! Also, putting things in tables, like p38-39 in the Viper manual should be obligatory That's my opinion, anyways ᛞ
  2. A lot better, but it's still there. Haven't tried the real bothersome birds yet though (Viggen & Gazelle has been the worst for me) 'Paws
  3. Hmm...from time to time, something similar happens to my Viggen config: some keystrokes are remapped, and I am unable to change them. Restarting the sim revert controls back to my mappings. I have seen this only on Viggen module
  4. Aaah, finally I can fly in daytime again! Flickering, especially in Viggen/Gazelles was painful!
  5. I was making F10 marks for the Viggen myself, and same thing happened - twice. Also, text in labels disappeared after restarting game
  6. Yeah, pilot is not gonna have much night vision left after looking at that white blob!
  7. Look at the bottom of the first post, Slipstream21 I do the manual install myself
  8. Reflecting full moon...? I usually aim for a bright full moon flight, and often get the flickering there as well 'Paws
  9. Even the Frogfoot comes with the flickering:
  10. Not to mention that skimming the waves in any bird is close to impossible unless water is set to high 'Paws
  11. Tried the Gazelle minigun version last night. Man, looking towards the left was pure horror! This time, however, the black flickering did not cover the entire screen. But...looking right: ok. Looking left was baaad. Had to choose something else to fly!
  12. Funny thing: game crashes if I crash to the ground. However...hitting a tree and exploding does NOT crash the game!! Ugh, this is getting painful. Seriously considering a rollback, due to the the constant crashing whenever I crash into the ground. Either that, or get more trees to emergency crash into!!!
  13. Yeah, 2 man mission: crash all the time when someone crashed the helo. No problems with other birds, and no problem solo in same mission
  14. Been swapping between birds - worst I have seen so far is the Viggen. This bug is getting to be a gamebreaker for that bird!
  15. Yeah...if I could only find any usable XXgme :music_whistling: This being the only mod I use that need such, and it not really being that many files, I just decided to try it manually. What was the most important thing to me was the engine/rotors sounds. First time I heard the door gunners, I thought it was radio static :D 'Paws
  16. Awesome sounds! Had to do a manual installing of the different files though - but worth the few minutes work!
  17. Same here, running AMD Radeon board. Really makes me dizzy after flying for a bit. Does seem like some aircraft maybe be showing more pronounced than others, but I may be wrong. 'Paws
  18. And now, after the latest patch...the intermittantly working troop carrying is borked again. What used to work, no longer works. But why does it still work with Mi8?

Gah, Razbam bugtracker still says the cold start tpod problem is "in test"
  20. I'm up for some not-too-serious fun! Just the group name itself...that's simply me!
  21. By chance, I had my first chance of trying this with a friend a few days back. I picked up the beacons, he did not. Not quite sure if the thing bugged out, or if my friend did it correctly - it was his first time turning any of those switches :music_whistling:
  22. Nice landing, Eagle_Rising! I often go for that kind myself. Things can go very bad very fast, though :music_whistling:
  23. Tbh, I haven't really played around with this stuff much. I just read people had problems with radio nav, so I decided to try it. I'm kinda weird that way. I'm more of a leisure pilot. I make sandboxes for me and a friend to play around in. These sandboxes tend to get big: we want all the birds available, we want ground targets, play around with triggers etc. My PG sandbox has some of those guys hidden around, so we can test radio navigation/homing. Haven't tested in mp, but works most of the time in sp. I am starting to suspect, however, that the larger the mission, the higher the chance of repeating transmissions for navigation, those soldiers waiting for airlift etc just sort of times out - seems to happen to those soldiers I have set up transmitting on fm band, and waiting for airlift. As to why the Vannipos way works and the others don't...I dunno, because like I said - I just started fiddling with it myself 'Paws
  24. 2 suggestions for you, Furia: 1. Have an extra ship with an uncotrollable Huey transmitting on the FM band (30-75.95MHz) like shown in Vannipos mission, and use the AN/ARC-131 fm radio set/course deviation indicator 2. Same ship/helo setup, but have the Huey transmit on the lower AM band (190-1750KHz), and use the AN/ARN-83 ADF set/ radio compass. Would be nice if ME let us make the ships themselves transmit "homing beacons", like every other unit type can. Same with switch/go to waypoint. 'Paws
