  1. Hello Aldo. Yes, Its multiplayer compatible, Ideal for small to medium sized squadrons. The procedures used are an amalgamation from various sources. https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/nellisafb/publication/nellisafbi11-250/nellisafbi11-250.pdf https://static.e-publishing.af.mil/production/1/nellisafb/publication/afi13-212v1_accsup_nttrsup_add_a/afman13-212v1_nttr_add_a.pdf https://www.lazygranch.com/red_audio.htm While every effort has been made to make the procedures as realistic as possible. Certain aspects required creative license to fill in the gaps. North War - Clearance provided to enter the northern airspace of NTTR South War - Clearance provided to enter the southern airspace of NTTR Gates 1-4 - Not explicitly stated in AFMAN, but procedures align with reference material. referenced in Redflag audio ~ 2014 In the event new information or SME's are found, I'm more than happy to amend procedures.
  2. Garf at DCS hacks has started a short tutorial series covering some basic procedures and how to interact with AI_ATC. Be sure to like and subscribe!
  3. A huge shout out to @PeneCruz for integrating VAICOMPRO with AI_ATC.
  4. @Gary Thanks for the question. The good news is that AI_ATC is "Feature complete" for release. We are working on trying to ensure that users get a trouble free experience when setting up AI_ATC and Voice Attack. Its a very complicated subject matter, combined with complicated software. We don't want the barrier to entry to be insurmountable for new players. Right now were working on documentation and testing, understanding where players have difficulty and finding ways of mitigating it. I'm confident it will be released within a few weeks. (subject to change)
  5. Part 3 of Cabi's tutorial series. This video covers lFR Recoveries back to Nellis. A HUGE thankyou to Cabi and Garf for the work they have put into this Tutorial series.
  6. Initial point objects for BLUE coalition are hard to make out over water. (Because their Blue) It would be good if mission designers could select their colour. or If the coordinate of the IP object is over water, have them change colour automatically (to white for example)null
  7. Part two of the Radio call series covering VFR recoveries back to Nellis. If you like the video, be sure to like, share and subscribe.
  8. Great questions @Purzel It was designed to be modular and portable to other maps. It can read out the name of any airbase or runway heading. However it does require a lot of data points in order for it to work. I think each airbase will be its own project. How much work is required will depend on the airbase. It’s not essential to use Voice attack, but I highly recommend it. It allows you to keep your hands on the HOTAS rather than fumble with key commands. its also a great tool for learning and practising realistic Radio Calls. Performance over head is minimal and I don’t notice any impact on DCS with it running.
  9. @FupDuck @t_hedlund @Abburo Correct, its just Nellis AFB. I would like to do more air bases on other maps in the future. I've tried to make the code as reusable as possible, so future projects "Might" not take as long to develop. Just to clarify, AI_ATC uses some of the MOOSE classes but It is not part of MOOSE. I am not affiliated with the MOOSE Dev team.
  10. AI_ATC uses 2000+ pre recorded sound files and all processing is done locally. I looked into using the MOOSE text to speech API, Its an excellent system and would have made things a lot easier. But it comes with some trade-off's. * It's complicated for users to set up and would exclude 99% of players. * It costs $$$ each time a message is generated. For this reason I decided to stick with pre-recorded sound files.
  11. This is part one of a series of tutorial video's for AI_ATC. Think of making radio calls like a muscle you can train. It took me a while, but with practise you can make accurate radio calls quickly and confidently. A huge thankyou to Cabi~599 for the work he's put into this. Remember to Like, share and subscribe!
  12. A short demonstration of AI_ATC using Voice Attack.
  13. I'll let you know when the goal post stops moving. In the meantime I think a development update is past due. DEVELOPMENT UPDATE: The AI_ATC was originally conceived as an emersion tool for single player missions that could provide some useful instruction. Since posting the video back in August, It has evolved into a study level ATC simulator that's multiplayer capable. "STUDY" being the key word there. Treat it like a new module you have to study and practise to get the most out of it. I think it will be a great tool for virtual pilots to practise realistic ATC procedures and Phraseology. The AI_ATC system is completely modular so it can be added to any mission on the NTTR map, allowing people to design their own missions around it. I have had the extremely good fortune of collaborating with some incredible people. They have been instrumental in driving the project in the right direction. So when is it going to be released? I would say its ~ 85% complete, although I'm sure I'll keep finding new features to add along the way. Hoping to put a showcase video out soon.
  14. Check out this excellent video from Cabi~599 and DCS Hacks. Outlines the Correct procedures for a USAF Overhead pattern. Your going to need it for the AI_ATC. Be sure to give it a like and subscribe. The channel has some incredible content on real world procedures.
  15. This issue started when the Squelch noise was added to the viper at the start and end of transmissions. I've not noticed it in other modules. Randomly and Intermittently, that squelch noise will get stuck on. causing a loud blast of static through the radio. the only way to get rid of the noise is to cycle the radio channel. No mods installed. Track file available upon request. Please comment bellow if you have also experienced this in the Viper.
  16. Bought Afghanistan, its really good. looking forward to the update. Bought Iraq, it looks really good. Lots of fun scenarios and varied terrain. Looking forward to release. EA works just fine for me. Keep up the good work ED.
  17. Your probably right. I cant recall if BANDIT and BOGEY are still current brevity calls. Its possible that the author of the website I posted miss identified them. They are just a couple of examples I took from the list. I'm more curious if anyone is aware of any callsigns that would be good to have in DCS. I found that this was being discussed a while back on the AV8B subforum. There are some good examples there. I have found a few callsigns used by red air during Red Flag events. Cylon, Stalin, Ivan, Fulcrum, Flogger, Mig.

    Callsigns

We have had some great additions to callsigns over the past few years. However there are a number of modules that still have the default Callsigns. I am trying to put together a list of Aircraft specific callsigns. Thought it might be worth asking if there are any Callsigns people want added for a specific module. Ideally, ones that have been used IRL. This website has a list of some really great examples that could be added to various modules. https://henney.com/chm/callsign.htm As an example, Here are a few for the F-5E BANDIT BOGEY RIVER VILAN Let me know what you think.
  19. I can understand why ED haven't updated the ATC yet. it will be a massive undertaking. ED have said they will need to make 3 ATC systems, Western modern, Eastern modern and WW2. Perhaps we'll see some progress once SC is finished. USSInchons feedback was excellent. I have changed almost all the dialogue since posting the video. I don't think its 100% accurate yet, but it will get there.
  20. Wow! Thanks for the prompt response @Vibora Can I ask what the COCKPIT PARAMs will be called? i.e COMM2_FREQ or UHF_FREQ?
  21. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Radios are not included in X:COCKPIT PRAM EQUALS. nullI am hoping that this will be added at some point as it is a very useful tool for mission making. Thanks
  22. This is a first look at a new JTAC system coming to DCS world. It was designed to overcome some of the limitations with the In game JTAC.
  23. Here is a first look at the JTAC system featured in the campaign. It has been designed to overcome some of the limitations of the JTAC included with DCS. In this video, I demonstrate CAS from a known I.P, however it can also do KEYHOLE CAS. You will notice theirs an image that appears on the RH side of the screen. This is a prompt for the voice command options available. I use VoiceAttack to interact with the JTAC to keep my hands on the HOTAS and not have to click through F-10 menus. The prompts can be turned off if preferred.
  24. Thanks for the Heads up @Zabuzard I was amazed at what Jester was capable of doing in the F-14. I'm really looking forward to seeing what can be done with the new API.
