  1. Getting back into the harrier. Haven’t flown it since 2018. im finding that the TDC slew axis is extremely difficult to use when mapped to a HOTAS warthog. i have tried reducing saturation and adding curves without success. im wondering if this is a Bug, if so what are other people using to slew their TDC

  4. Just wondering what systems are modelled and working in early access. I have skimmed the EA manual and watched the YouTube videos, im wondering if systems like radios, ADF,Doppler navigation, signal flares, are working in EA. (Is there an official list) most of the systems seem very similar to the MI8 so I should be able to fumble my way through them.
  5. Had an engine fire after about 30 minutes of flying. I was monitoring egt’s and had them around 900’ I read the early access manual but didn’t find any reference to engine temperature management. What temperatures should I be aiming for during takeoff, level flight and landing?

  7. Tested in 2.7.2 and found this is still occurring. I have only seen it occur to F/A-18C's. The other AI units I tested Taxi normally

  10. I had no Idea how deep this rabbit hole was. and most likely explains why we don't have one already. Yes I agree, But I believe Russia has changed some laws regarding the research of their military equipment, hence why BlackShark 3 was delayed. It could be difficult to recreate a K variant (even though we have a modern SU34) under these new laws. I look forward to more Cold war Era Modules and assets and its great to hear that we will be getting more soon. However ED has done a great job with modern Carrier aviation thus far. We have a new Kuznetsov Model and it would be great to be able to capitalise on that, especially with the Marianas map and Falkland Islands coming out which have vast ocean areas for Naval engagements. I must say though the Mig-29 Does look right at home on the Kuznetsov, even if its just a static object for now.Russian Navy.bmp
  11. Hello everyone. I would like to see the Chinese Liaoning and Shandong Aircraft carriers added to the Chinese asset pack. Along with the Shandong J-15 as a carrier capable AI aircraft. All of these assets share similarities to the existing assets in the Sim ( Kuznetsov and Su-33) and would make naval operations on the new Marianas map more immersive. Thanks
  12. Hello everyone. Would love to see a Mig-29K variant added to the sim that is compatible with the Kuznetsov. This would make good use of the new Kuznetsov Model and round out 4th gen naval aviation a little more. Thanks.
  13. Hello everyone. I have found that a late activated group given a follow command will RTB under the following conditions. Late activated Group is an F/A-18C or F-14A/B. Time of day is set to night. The closest airbase is a Carrier. the Follow command is issued after an option (i.e EPLRS ON) I have attached a Miz and Trk file that highlights this. 3 groups are set to late activate. The F/A-18 & F-14 immediately RTB. The F-16 executes the follow command as intended. If any of the above variables are changed then the F/A-18/F-14 will execute the follow command as intended.   16. Hello everyone. I had my dedicated server crash today. This is odd, because I have never had a server crash before. not sure what to make of it, or how to debug it. I was the only one on the server. I have attached the server log. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. dcs.log

  18. Hello everyone. Like many others have already reported, I have been having problems with the End mission button. I only experienced the problem in a campaign I made myself, and the problem only occurred after updating to 2.7 I read on the forums and in the patch notes that this was fixed in 2.7.1.6430 The button End mission doesn't work if a map object was destroyed - fixed. However I have found that the issue is still occurring. I was able to fix the problem in OB2.7.1 by editing the me_logbook.lua as per @BuzzLine's instructions (thanks Buddy) The mission in question does not have any map objects destroyed ( I think ) The mission does use alot of scripts to spawn units, that might be another cause of the problem.   19. Hello @toutenglisse Thanks, I didnt know that it was working with the hornet. I recall that LGB's were not working for AI (that was probably years ago know) So I always gave them GPS guided munitions. What prompted me to write the post was watching an F-14 repeatedly miss with LGB's. I tried your test mission with an F-14 and the LGB's do not track. I tried a number of other AI aircraft and they all seem to work fine. Thanks for pointing that out. I can go back and diversify some loadouts. Sadly, the F-14's will have to stick to dumb bombs.
  20. I have a question regarding AI aircraft and using Laser guided weapons. For the longest time I have noticed that when AI Use LGB's the weapons do not track the target and miss by a significant margin. I Assume that its because the AI aircraft are not using their laser designator. My question is, Is their a way to get AI aircraft to emply LGB's successfully? Is it possible to have another unit buddy lase targets for AI aircraft? Any help is always appreciated
  21. Ai Planes that are taxiing to or from a runway do not maintain the normal interval between each other. Eventually they will hit the plane in front. This behaviour has only started since the latest OB update (2.7.0.5659) it was not an issue in previous iterations of OB 2.7 The attached Miz file demonstrates this behaviour. A group of AI F/A-18 taxi out from their parking spots. The Flight lead Taxiis behind a Humvee. After a short period of time the second unit in the group will hit the flight lead and Chaos ensues.   23. @Treker I managed to find the bug your experiencing. It prevented a lot of the triggers that occur when the instructor gets in formation with you. You will notice a lot more Dialogue now and the Scoring system should work properly.   24. @Treker Thanks for the track replay. I actually found it really enjoyable watching someone else flying a mission I had put so much work into. Unfortunately, the trackfile Desynced after a while and you ended up flying into a wall. I couldnt use it to work out what was going wrong. Either way, I really want to get this resolved so you can enjoy the rest of the campaign. I Have a few questions, 1). did the instructor fly in formation with you on the way to the merge co-ordinates? 2). Did both engagements result in the Adversaries crashing? 3). did the instructor re-join and fly in formation with you on the way back to Nellis? 4). did the instructor provide you with his evaluation? (dialogue that gives you a Pass or fail on the assessment) "Stripped" is a brevity code for breaking formation with a flight lead. When you hear "Pontiac 1-1 Stripped" that's an indication that the instructor has broken formation with you for landing. If you have a Tacview ACMI file, I could use that to debug the problem. If you dont have Tacview, I cant recommend it enough AND its free. In the mean time, im going over the triggers to see if I can find where its going wrong. All the best!
  25. Land at the same Airbase you took off from. The mission has all the Bluefor aircraft at Nellis ( Tacan 12X), and all of the Redfor at Tonopah (Tacan 77X). I Tested the first mission last night after reading you were having some trouble with it. Everything worked as intended in the F/A-18. Sadly I cannot test every aircraft, my brain simply wont fit more than one at a time.
