  1. Well dude, you just got them another sale. Ordered mine last night. See what you 'done did':megalol: Although my Warthog is still in great shape, I've always wanted a high-end F16 stick with force sensors. I'll skip the Hornet grip since I already have the TM version, which I'm quite happy with.
  2. Hey guys, just wanted to chime in after a long hiatus. My PointCTRL was shipped to me exactly one year ago this month. Where the heck is it??? Haha, just kidding. It actually arrived within a few days. However, due to life changing events and a very hectic work schedule, I just never got around to setting it up. I also had a Pimax 5k+ sitting in it's box, never used. I eventually sold it (in anticipation for the 8kx) and got Rift-S in the interim. Also, I could only manage brief sessions on DCS from time to time. Now with things settling down, I managed to finally setup my HMS/FCUs and I must say........I'm totally impressed with them! Miles, as an early adopter (#4 on the list), I knew that what you were creating for our community would be a game-changer! I am so glad that I took a leap of faith when I saw the prototype and what you were doing. Well worth the money for what it adds to the immersion in VR. Now I need to get a couple of the button units. I sent you an email. I know you're a busy man, so whenever you can, please send me an invoice. Thank you. ~Redtail
  3. Not only MP, but also custom made SP missions with multiple client slots. I made a few basic SP practice missions like that and this was driving me nuts, until I figured out the culprit.
  4. Thanks. I hadn't considered that this could be by design. Just seemed odd to me. Your workaround is a good idea. I'll try it
  5. Thanks. It was driving me nuts and although not a show stopper, I was determined to troubleshoot and identify the culprit. It pays to have a second machine to test these issues on.
  6. 2.5.6 OB (latest update), Standalone. No other mods. I was able to duplicate the issue on two different PCs running Win-10 (latest build). One is my main desktop PC, i7-7700, 32gb, 2080ti. The other is a gaming laptop with a 2070 GPU.
  7. This has been causing me issues for awhile now and I have finally narrowed it down to the option to ..Hide on-screen text. I've been able to reproduce this problem (bug) numerous times. I have to keep that box un-ticked. With the box ticked, the only way to start the mission is to hit the pause key a couple of times, which can be a challenge while in VR. See attached pictures.
  8. This is the screen that I no longer see when Vaicom is running. It's just blank (or transparent). The only way to get in game is to tap the Esc key twice in order to proceed. Anyone have an idea of what's wrong? Thanks Edit: 5/25/20. I installed a second copy of everything on my laptop and it's working great. So this lets me know that there's something screwy on my Desktop PC installation. I'll do some more troubleshooting and repair. At least I know that this isn't a bug in VA/Vaicom, so disregard this post.
  9. I was having that issue also. If I recall correctly, somehow my audio output selections changed. Some audio was being redirected and couldn't be heard through my speakers. I believe I had to set everything to 'default' in the audio tab in DCS settings. I'm not at the PC, so I'm unable to confirm this. I'm going off of memory, which could be off. At one point, I was hearing the briefing through the speakers and the rest of AOCS through my Rift S headphones. Now I have everything coming through the speakers.
  10. Ahh, ok thanks. One other issue I have and can't seem to figure out (did the whole delete export.lua, repair routine several times), is... Once I load a mission, the last screen that normally appears before launching into the game, no longer shows up. So there is nothing to click on to start. I have to hit the escape key, then hit 'resume' in order to proceed into the active game. This only happens when using VA/Vaicom pro. If I do the delete, repair routine and start DCS without Vaicom, it works normally. Any ideas? Thanks
  11. Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but AOCS will only work on 284.00 AM in the hornet radios, comm-1/2. (2.5.5 or 2.5.6ob). If I try 071.00 or 142.00 the (:AM) doesn't show and is blanked out. Easy comms off. After trying on 071.00 for several attempts and much troubleshooting, thinking it was another problem, I decided to try the other two frequencies. That's when it manifested that only 284.00 worked. I'm fine with using only one freq, but I wanted to report my experience. Note: I've only tried AOCS in the F-18 thus far. Also, this is with manual tuning. I haven't tried setting up presets in the mission editor. Thanks. Edit: Just downloaded the latest patch and gave it a try. Now 142.00 is working as well, but not 071.00. So at least I now have two working frequencies to chose from, which is nice.
  12. Hell yeah I got goosebumps:lol: That was one of my favorite shows as a teen and still enjoy watching it. I have the complete series on Blu-Ray.
  13. This is an incredible sound mod. Sounds very realistic. I must try it since I'm finally getting into the Hornet. I'm curious if there are any plans either from ED or yourself to update the cockpit sounds, particularly the engine sounds. I've only briefly messed around with the Viper, but I've noticed that the engine sounds are so much better than the Hornet. Recent YT cockpit videos of the Hornet shows that our DCS version sounds nothing like the real thing! Thanks
  14. Those of us who remember what we had in the early days (C-64 was my first PC as well), probably have a greater appreciation for what we have now! Yes we need a dynamic campaign like Falcon4 and yes we need Vulcan and SuperCarrier and a completed Hornet, F16, etc. But please.... DCS is the best thing to come along in a long time and is basically the only game in town. Overall, I think ED are doing a great job. Definitely not out to rob anyone of a few bucks  I agree......the constant whining is pathetic. I'm 54. Started my flightsim hobby at 16 on a C64. Got my PPL 16 years later at 32. Love everything about aviation...real world and simulated:)
