As the title above states, after engine start-up the idle rpm is fluctuating from about 51% to 55% rapidly.
I've studied the tutorial many times and Chucks Guide and followed them to a "T". Keeps happening.
After I did alot of digging I found this post https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187704
It was the fuel regulation switch on the right wall panel that seemed to cause the rpm to fluctuate. After setting it to Manual it stopped for the time being. I've read that real Viggen pilots rarely touched this switch, so that cant be the solution I'd imagine. After double checking, and setting the fuel reg switch to manual it still had fluctuating rpm after startup on a fresh airframe.
I also noticed that when a fuel tank is on board, the fuel tank warning light on the left floor panel blinks rapidly. So it seems all linked to fuel. I can not figure it out 100%
The aircraft once it throttles up to taxi and in flight, performs just fine however. Or maybe it doesn't? Only had the Viggen for less than a week so I wouldn't truly know if performance is where its supposed to be as a result of the rpm fluctuating.
When I was playing MP the other night, it appeared, from what I could observe, that other players using the Viggens were having the same fluctuations. No verbal confirmation.
I've read the manual and guides, followed exact start-up sequences... keeps happening.
Its worth mentioning that doing the tutorial mission, it starts just fine no fluctuations. As soon as I try on my own, in any other mission,it fluctuates.
I've read on many other forums discussing this that it has to be a bug, because idle rpm should never be below 55%
Please advise! I don't 100% know if this is affecting in flight performance, but at the least its bugging me. I love this aircraft so far and its VERY well made. Just want to know whats going on with this. Anyone I've talked to has been saying this is definitely abnormal. From what I could find doing some searching, I'm not the only one that is experiencing this, and doesn't seem new
