  1. Hello everyone, I am struggling with my warthog's trim hat. Using the ka50 cant keep the trim up button pressed because it shifts from up to diagonal an i loose the trim. Is there a way, software likewise, to turn that switch from 8way to 4way? That should solve the problem...
  2. It is only me who find using the menu, the mission planner ecc in VR a realy bad experience? Cant we use the monitor for those tasks and then switch to VR once the mission is launched?

Hi all, with f14 part of the procedure for aar is actually to close the wings so the bird doesnt change pitch during refuel and also, you will flight a higher aoa that will keep the bird away from the turbulence. I got no problem at all refuelling with the probe and drogue, i have little hard time with boom in f16 but it is soo much faster procedure.
  4. I was thinking if would be possible in the near future to fly in mixed reality. The idea was to link VR to homemade cockpit. You can see your cockpit or part of it if it is not a 1:1 cockpit and visor display renders anything beside it. For example if you only have the tm mfd's you could place them on top of a green panel and actually see them through the rendered image. What do you guys think about that?
  5. Hello, I love DCS, and playing with VR is amazing but is there any intention to improve lights rendering? The illumination, at night more then day is really bad and the situation seems to worsen with VR. I will not take in cause other flight simulators but, i just did a comparison departing from Batumi at Sunrise. The "other" sim light management is awesome compared to DCS. Even in day time.   6. Hi all, I just installed the ab detent mod from shapeway and it is great but, im fighting a bit for the calibration. After using TM calibration tool i removed the 83% saturation and the range was fine with the hornet. After the yesterday update, don't know why but had to use saturation again. I will now try with custom curves. My big issue is that the two throttle seem to be not in sync. I keep having one engine 1 rpm above the other and the hornet keep rolling slowly. So slowly that even a little touch of trim makes it go into the opposite directions. Any suggestions?
  7. Hello everyone, I am experiencing this thing, and i don't know why. Once i trapped a cable, the hook remain in the up position, regardless of the hook lever pulled down so i cant get free from the cable. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

  9. Hello, A lot of games allows you to setup the game using the monitor and only when the actual game session begin they switch to VR. This, in my opinion should be considered because wearing an hmd is oppressive. Being able to run trough menus looking at the monitor would be nice. I think VR should be enabled when inside the cockpit looking at debrifing.

  11. Hello, i keep experiencing same issue. I set the carrier at 30 kts and once i landed the wind over the deck is so strong. Hornet keep producing lex vapor from wingtip and it is very hard to maneuver the plane. Are you experiencing the same?
  12. I know a hornet is not a cessna but... if you remember the cessna flight model of flight simulator, which i did not dislike, showed same reaction when you was to lower flap from "high" speed. With that flight model however the plane was much more controllable, the thing was: flap down, plane pitch up, you then push on the command and the plane slow down. The hornet at that point, don let you perceive the speed slowing down and will start to oscillate back and forth... dunno, my 2 cents
  13. Hello, i think i would not be able to play anymore without my rift. You need to accept compromises but, it is amazing. I use ipd 1.5 and no msaa, this way at night i dont see funny screendoor effects. Patch after patch is getting even better. Yes you need to find the perfect positioning of visor and interocular distance. Deck on the stennis in vr is awesone. Then once you look at the game without vr you realize how distort and flat is the perspective. I will for sure look into next gen vr but for now, the present one is enough.
  14. Hello everyone, First time posting here. So, i have two big problems behind micro stuttering and wingtip flickering. If i look at a cloud and rotate my head left and right, the cloud moves, rotate on itself. This strange effect happened even with buildings. On the Stennis deck, if i stare at the control tower and look at its base then tilt my head up to look at the roof, the tower changes dimension or prospective... I also noticed that if i run dcs without msaa and rift pd to 2.0, at night, i can see very good and there is no "grid effect" Microstuttering is not always there, even wingtip flickering seems to happen mostly when on the ground.
  15. Thank you so much! After watching this video i nailed it down. My problem was i kept acting on the stick after the hornet was already trimmed to ball. So i could not figure out why the fpm kept moving back and forth.
